The Good Samaritan – A Lesson in Kindness & Loving Others | Bible Story for Kids

The Good Samaritan, a lesson in kindness and loving others. Hi friends! Have you ever helped someone in need? Or had someone be kind to you? Today, we'll learn about a story Jesus told called The Good Samaritan, a lesson about being kind and loving others, no matter who they are. One day, Jesus was teaching when a man asked, So Jesus told a story to help everyone understand. After a while, a priest came walking by. A priest is someone who teaches about God. Surely he would help, right? But no! He walked to the other side of the road and ignored the man. Oh no! Then, a Levite came by. Levites also worked in the temple, teaching about God. Would he stop to help? Nope, he didn't stop either. The poor man was still alone. Finally, a man from Samaria came along. Now, Samaritans and Jewish people usually didn't get along. But this man, The Good Samaritan, stopped. He helped the hurt man, cleaned his wounds, and gave him a ride on his donkey to an inn where he could rest and heal. The Good Samaritan even gave money to the innkeeper and said, Take care of him. If you need more, I will pay when I come back. What a kind and loving man! He helped even when others walked away. Then Jesus asked, Who was a neighbor to the hurt man? The people answered, The one who showed kindness. Jesus said, Go and do the same. That means we should always be kind, help others, and show love, no matter who they are. Wow! The Good Samaritan teaches us that kindness is always the right choice. How can you show kindness today?
