RIPPED THE ROD OUT OF THE KAYAK - Never Do This When Fishing

Getting ready to head across this bay and then a cross blind path to a canal on the other side. A lot of docks. There's a little uh look like a little lake that look like maybe only accessed by kayak. So it's about 5 30 5 45. We're gonna start heading over there. Got some light pinfish. Got my fish bites. Got swim bait. So ought to be a good time. One throw of the net. Got all the bait I need. Already had some pinfish but I just loaded up on some decent sized finger mullet. So we'll have plenty of live bait. I get over there pounding those docks. See if we can pull some big snook out of there. All right something's busting bait right up here. Try that again. Gosh dang it. Got him. Little baby snook. All right all right first snook of the night or evening. Take a long either. Just skip them under there. Come on. Got him. Nice. How did it not hook him? There we go. Got him. You're small. I don't have to. Really? Oh yeah. There we go. That's better. Wow. This is a lot in the title that you should never do this when kayak fishing. I made the cardinal sin of leaving biting fish to stick to my plan for the day. So I ended up leaving that spot. Heading over to that canal and fishing it for an hour and a half without a single bite. So basically I wasted an hour and a half that I could have been catching fish in the same spot. Because as you'll see we'll pick back up when I return to the spot in blind pass where the fish were biting previously and they were still biting. I'm still not sure why I did it but just don't make the same mistake I did. Let's catch up to where I was starting to catch fish. Yeah that was a good one. Oh what is that? Is that a jack? Jeez. Pretty stout one. Oh jeez. Really? You choked it down? Gosh doggit. I don't think I'm gonna be able to get that. Nope. Not gonna be able to. Nice little jack. That stupid jack. Yep. Gosh dang it.
