How to Catch a Ton of Snook - Sanibel Island Shore Fishing
This is part one of a two part series. I broke the morning and evening fishing sessions into two videos. In this session I was really just wanting to see how many snook I could catch before the tide went slack. It didnt disappoint because i ended up losing count and catching way to many to include them all in the video. I hope you pick up something for snook fishing from the video. Thanks for watching and tight lines everybody.
All right heading back to the snook hole today. Just going all artificial, not gonna jack with
any shrimp or anything. I got an idea what they liked yesterday with the white bucktail so brought
some variations. Also brought some jerk bait see how those work. So we'll get out there and give
it a shot. All right pulling up let's pray there's nobody there. Nobody. God it's been a while since
I rode a bike. Break. Take a little look here. I got some big swim baits. I was just curious to see
if they'd hit anything big like that. I brought some yozuris. I brought some gold spoons. I think
this is the one that's gonna kill it is the mullet. And then of course I got the jigs that I killed
them on yesterday. So let's get both rods rigged up. Let's start with the mullet. Oh there they are
right there. I see them. May have to come up a little. Water may have to come up some before they hit.
Oh yeah there we go. What I got? Already got one. Come on. Come on. Get in.
There you go. Holy crap he choked that. Stop it. Stop it. You're on the oysters. It's gonna hurt you.
Oh my gosh. Look at that. He freaking choked it. Oh gosh dang it. Well he's gone. All right.
First snook on the board. My leader. Golly. One more. I gotta change my leader. There we go.
I knew I should have changed leaders quicker. Let's try the mullet first now.
See how this does with the current moving more. Yeah. Got him. How was that? That was freaking
awesome. All right. Self-release. All right. Got an idea. Good. I don't think he got any of that.
I'm gonna put my camera down in the water. See if I can pick up any snook action right here.
So he got all the way to the boat? No he got it. Oh right. Oh there we go.
I foul hooked him. All right. No they got a moratorium since that uh red tide. Oh really?
Yep. Hold on buddy. I don't want to get those gill plates. They're like razors. Stop it.
Oh there you go. There we go. That's a good one. That one's gonna. I'm gonna have to play him.
Oh he's not that big. I thought he was bigger. There was a big one over there.
I want your big brother.
I might try this next too. Let's try that. Yep. First cast with it. Wow. Oh my gosh. Yeah.
This might be the ticket here.
All right. This is a pretty good one. Oh.
God dang it. Oh I still got him. I thought I lost him. I thought he broke my line.
No no no no no. Stop. Oh he got away. I was gonna get a picture.
Looks like this area where the water's kind of curling and swirling around.
Yep. A lot of activity.
It's a little one. It's all right. Little ones need love too.
Hold still. Get you out of there.
Don't act like an idiot.
Geez. Next time remember fish grips.
Got him.
Yeah. Guys are probably the hardest fighting fish. I don't know between them and Jack Cavalls.
Stop it man.
There you go.
Pull the mullet down here a few times. Let's see what happens. Oh god dang it.
Well you'll get a kick out of that TJ.
Dang it.
Got him. Yeah.
Stop. There we go. Golly. Guys.
Geez. Oh dang it. Got him. Oh this is a good one. Oh yeah.
This is a big one. Come on. Oh gosh. He's wrapped in the gill plate. All right. Got him. Got him. Got
they'd like this one bait. All right. That's it for today. Man. What an epic morning. I think I'll
come back this evening and fish it one more time. So I'm worn out. I'm gonna go back to the
cottage and rest for a little bit and I think I'll come back out this evening.
See what the evening bite is like. Maybe I can get some on top water. So until then,
tight lines everybody. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like and subscribe. See you on the next one.
