Using a Shark to catch a Shark - Destin Surf Fishing

[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] this story started back in March when I was out doing some nighttime surf fishing by myself I was just going out with some cut bluefish and some heavy spinning gear and thumb out in the surf and just see what bit alright back in June alum Beach got skunked yesterday glutton for punishment all right I got something not sure what it is we got our first shark whoo I think it's an Atlantic sharp nose ended up and thrown it in the freezer and saving it for when we came down this group to do some shark fishing and April to now put planning surf house we've got double double hook rig right back I ran out three baits at night the sharp nose shark a large lady fish and a large Spanish mackerel this was the last night we were going to shark fish on this trip so we were planning on staying pretty late we gave it till 1:00 a.m. and we started packing stuff up and hauling it up to the car while we were up at the car loading Jeremiah and I got a phone call from the guys down on the beach and this is what happened jeez it's like 1:00 in the morning loading up the car we're carrying all the stuff out of course and it's gonna happen we get a run on the big rod alright let's set get the hook set and then get ready yeah don't think he know he's hooked he's hooked yet there's a lot of stretch in that mano that's got to be something on there man and low gear there's no way it should be that hard to move what I'm seeing it pull you see that all right now we're down to mono so that's good and he may come close and like start running what did you feel them if you're getting hard too yeah he felt them all right talk about timing I'm gonna ah took my waders up there guess I'm gonna get wet all right he's still ways out there it wouldn't crank oh he's pulling it up some borrow beside them yet he's pulling back you running there he is dude that's not that's nice that's a ball that's a bull shark man that's exactly what ripp said put a shark out and you'll catch a bull yeah Lee yeah there we go got him six-foot-six awesome man got it he's coming around now we'll make sure he goes keep that light on him if you don't mind
