and filed this one under racist police when the incident happened a pair of deputies were responding to a domestic violence dispute which involved Ryan Gainer a teenager who was allegedly assaulting his own sister and destroying the family's home it wasn't long before the body camera footage emerged this fo showed the teenager Barrel out of the home with what appears to be a gardening tool in his hands when he came running towards the officers Gainer had the tool raised above his head as if he were about to strike while closing on the responding Deputy the officers rendered Medical Aid to the boy until EMTs arrived Gainer would eventually die in a nearby hospital that he was transported to Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are once again being detained by Romanian authorities over an arrest warrant issued by the UK for sexual aggression the case dates back to 2012 according to a spokesperson for the brothers on Tuesday an appeals court will decide whether or not to extradite the pair Andrew Tate was previously charged and imprisoned in 2022 for human trafficking at least four women reported quote horrific acts of sexual violence perpetrated by the Tates at that time the case was not prosecuted the brothers continue to claim that these charges and arrests are just blatant attempts to silence their platform which focuses on political and cultural commentary in America we have the First Amendment which protects our speech from government intervention you'd think that in a public school where they recite the Pledge of Allegiance every morning the American flag wouldn't be controversial a student Cameron blasic at an Indiana school was told to remove the American flag from the back of his pickup truck the school's principal reportedly claimed that the school has the right to request the flag be removed but blasic says he was told disciplinary action would be taken if he did not comply he said quote I kind of just straight up told them from the get-go I said it's not going to happen he quipped that if this was simply a request he maintained the right to decline that request soon more students at East Central High School 24 of them in fact would come to school with flags attached to the back of their trucks to support blasic and protest the school eventually the school caved the principal saying that quote after careful consideration and in recognition of the importance of the US flag as a symbol of unity and national identity I am pleased to inform you that we are allowing the display of the US flag by students in the East Central school parking lot should you really be eligible for a pullitzer prize if your work is produced by AI the 18 person Pulitzer board has mandated that the use of AI be disclosed by potential recipients due to Rapid development and use of AI in the tools that it offers nearly 1,200 submissions were made this year of the 45 finalists for the Pulitzer Prize in journalism five disclosed that AI assisted them in researching reporting or the presentation of their work a member of the board claims that the mandated disclosure will also help them quote sample creativity that journalists are bringing to generative AI even in these early days this also raises the question of what necessarily counts as use of AI the average American uses AI every single day on our smartphones we also use Smart engines like Google do only generative tools count in which case why would journalists who use AI to assist in research be mandated to disclose these people would likely only use the tool to direct them towards resources similar to how most people use Google it seems there's a lot lot of ambiguity around this issue but it would be quite alarming if these five finalists had in fact used AI to say
