How to Build a Vegetable Garden - Episode 3

good day welcome to I cultivate my name's Steve this is our really quick third update about how we're going with our new productive [Music] Garden so firstly I must apologize to all of our subscribers for not giving you some more information more regularly the truth is we got called away and had to do some work outside of our garden here um and that has taken up a fair bit of time but we're back into getting this productive Garden going again so you can see that we have now got all of the posts in you can see that this particular one has been retained quite a bit this is quite a significant hole in order to retain what will be the vegetable garden soil because ultimately this is all going to be on the one level here um I've got the um retaining Timbers in place all the way around and what we now need to finish doing is getting the structure itself all finished so ultimately what we're going to end up with here is some trust Timbers across the top here that are going to support the netting that's going to cover this entire area the whole idea of having this netting is in order to keep out those predator and pest insects such things as our dreaded Cabbage Moth and of course we have a lot of possums here as well which like to get in and and eat those nice juicy succulent green vegetables so we're going to end up with this enclosure that will enable us to keep all of those types of vegetables protected from various pests and of course our native Wildlife that also like our vegetables so this is where the doorway is going to be which will give us access into this garden and at the moment we're still thinking about what the actual layout of the garden beds will be because ultimately we really do want to be able to practice some crop rotation in this area in this area around this space we are going to have quite a few other vegetable garden areas as well but this particular one is the one that is going to provide protection to vegetables and various other plants that need to be protected from garden pests and various other Wildlife but you know we're we're really happy with the way it's turning out we wish it was a little bit faster but hey that's just the way these things work out but we are very happy with how it's all starting to turn out so I'm now hoping now that we don't have these other commitments that pulled us away from this that we can now get this really moving and so I hope that you will be able to share in seeing this start to really take shape over the next couple of weeks so thanks for watching this video and joining us on this particular Journey can I ask you please to go down to the thumbs up and give us a thumbs up subscribe to this Channel and go to our website icultivate Donnet and become a member of the community thanks for [Music] watching
