good day Welcome to our cultivate my
name's Steve and today we're going to be
looking at the progress of some snow
peas that were planted in a previous
[Music]
video These are the seedlings that have
germinated from the snow pece seeds that
we sewed about eight or n days
ago now I'll keep my eye on these over
the coming weeks but just to ensure that
they are supported by the trellis I'll
very carefully train them through the
trellis from time to time they are very
brtish so if you do need to give them a
little bit of guidance in where they
grow you need to also be very careful
here we are 5 weeks later about 7 weeks
since we sewed these snow peece seeds
and you can see that we're now getting
up to around that 1 and 1/2 M tall and
you can see that there are some flowers
and some snow piece starting to
emerge each of these flowers is going to
develop into a snow pee and you can see
a younger snow pee here just started to
emerge now clearly this one is not ready
to pick however a little bit further
down here you can see that we've got one
to pick now I know it's ready because
it's actually now quite firm compared
with this one which is reasonably soft
and the actual P seeds with in are
actually starting to become quite
visible so I'm going to pick this
one and this is going to end up on the
dinner table but they are so delicious
that you'll find that the biggest
problem will be actually getting them
from here to the dinner table
particularly if you send the kids out to
harvest because they are absolutely
beautiful raw like
this now a couple of things to consider
the first is you really do need to
harvest these snow peas regularly the
more you harvest them the more you're
going to find they
produce and the second thing is you'll
also find that a lot of the Native
Wildlife that you have in your area
probably will like them as well so you
might need to consider some netting or
some other means of protection from that
Wildlife as
well so get out into your garden and get
snow peas in it you will find you will
be richly rewarded by this plant you
will have some wonderful produce for
your dinner table now I hope you've
enjoyed this video can I ask you please
