Our seeds have germinated in their eggshell containers and now it is time to plant them out in the vegetable garden. During this video, Steve demonstrated how to plant these seedlings in the garden

g'day welcome to i cultivate my name's
Steve and today we're going to be
following up on a video that we
previously did that looked at
germinating seeds in eggshells and old
egg cup these are the seeds that we
germinated in the eggshells and just the
straight egg cartons and you can see
that we've had a hundred percent strike
rate and that's despite the fact that
we've had some extreme weather
conditions here with temperatures
reaching almost 40 degrees Celsius in
the past few days you can see these have
suffered a little bit as a result of
that in fact you can see some of the
measures that are put in place to try
and protect some new seedlings over here
with the green shade cloth but with
suitable care I think these seedlings
will be fine as soon as we get them into
the ground and ensure that they get
enough moisture so let's get them into
the ground I'm going to place in one row
here these ones that have been raised
within the eggshells and in the second
row those that have been raised just
simply within the egg cartons because
I'm interested to see if there will be a
difference they're not expecting so but
let's find out so using my measuring
stick these seedlings are corn and so
therefore I'm going to place them about
25 centimeters apart in two bros about
50 centimeters apart for these corn seed
links that are in the egg shots I'm
going to search the ball crack them just
a little bit just to give them a bit of
a helping hand there we go
and you can see all I've done there is
just simply placed the eggshell directly
into the ground 25 centimeters apart
and there we have it our seedlings that
were germinated within the eggshell
planted now I'm going to do the same
thing but with those that were
germinated just simply in straight egg
cartons with these so I'm going to
separate them to simply by cutting them
through like so
and again using my measuring stick or
place these 25 centimeters apart about
50 centimeters away from this row now I
am tearing the bottom of this egg carton
out just a little bit just to help the
process
so now finish this process by giving
them a good water in and particularly in
the weather that we've been having
lately extreme weather getting up
towards 40 degrees Celsius I have
ensured that I have a really good layer
of mulch around these as well to help
preserve the moisture in the soil now
