g'day welcome to i cultivate my name's
Steve today we're going to be looking at
planting Eliam such as spring onions and
red onions for your sellers in this part
of the garden I'm going to plant a range
of different types of aliens including
spring onions and and red onions for
salads now often spring onions and
various other types of onions are quite
economically purchase just simply in a
Punnett but the thing is is that when
you buy these they usually come with
many plants in the one section and often
it is difficult to separate these out
without damaging them so what I would
recommend you do it simply take a bucket
of water with this wash the soil from
the from them like so and then they are
very easily separated from each other at
that point once you have your onions or
separated create yourself a little
trench
line them up in that trench now the
books all say that you need to have them
about 10 centimeters apart but I found
you can get away with them being quite a
bit closer once you have your seedlings
all laid out you can now backfill and
stand them up you'll find you don't
actually have to be too careful from
there they are very Hardy and so there
we have it we have our crop of spring
onions planted and in a couple of months
time will be harvesting these and
getting probably more than what we need
if you want to plant other LMS but most
of them the process is very similar I'm
not going to do exactly the same thing
with red salad onions I hope you found
this video useful can I please encourage
