Wizard of Oz Museum in Florida - Immersive Experience - 2200 Plus Artifacts

holy hill [Music] [Music] all right today we just got off a cruise ship and we wanted to come to this place because the manager yelled at us on one of our videos that we didn't put this in our favorites in Port Canaveral how many times have you watched the movie do you think i didn't i' I've watched only two times but I read books all the books see I've never read the books so we're here the Wizard of Oz Museum the Wizard of Oz Museum and we're going to give you a complete tour of this because I can't wait to see inside are you ready yeah I'm excited it's going to be fun make sure you where they they've got this room and and you're going to see it here this museum is not only about the Wizard of Oz but there's so much more there's a space section that goes in with a Cape Canaveral theme and if you come in by cruise ship like we did you can Uber over here it's only like two and a half to three miles from the cruise board let's just get into this video todd the star of today's show look at all these Wizard of Oz books and there's the latest wicked we're at the beginning here where you get to watch a video what to expect in here it's very cool lots of memorabilia in here huh and check out the bathroom here this is the bathroom the Wizard of Oz Poppies there's the Wicked Witch i love this little touch all right we're in the museum here and you can see each cabinet you go to you can scan it and it'll tell you a story of everything that's in here between these two is a copy of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz from 1900 what you're seeing is the oldest known copy of the book it's really amazing the details that the narration gives you it's just it's really a great way to learn about everything and this says it all voted number one children's museum in the United States by Trip Advisor and you can even take your picture with the characters look at this there's Dorothy the Lion Tin Man Scarecrow and the Good Witch all right there's the certificate of authenticity of the ruby slippers now believe it or not I didn't realize there was this many books on the Wizard of Oz if they go through every detail of every book in this [Music] museum and this is interactive as well the first room in here is all kinds of different memorabilia look at all this stuff he's a wonderful guy this is just the first part of this museum it's ranked I think he said number 23 out of 35,000 things to do in Florida all right who remembers these who remembers running to the room when these things came out flying and then over here you got the wicked witch of the west and I tell you the gentleman the owner we just got to talk to has put a great museum look at this up here it's the gloves of the cowardly lion i tell you I would love to have this collection this is so cool and here is the original 1939 Wizard of Oz Winky Guard spear prop i love where they show the scenes here where this was used as well i know some of you've got these i've actually seen these in person they got them in the museum here's an original coat by Judy Garland you can see her initials embroidered into that and you can actually see her where she was wearing this dress all right if you got kids they got a Munchkin Land in here let's see what this is all about oh that's cool munchkin Land and they're showing some movies look at the little chairs with all the characters in front of Emerald City all right this is a must right here is one of Dorothy's dressed actually used in the movie this just goes and show you the detail here how this immersive museum works they actually got games in here for the kids as you'll see reading this but this guy here is one of the flying monkeys all right we just scanned this code here this is the original Townsman outfit from the Wizard of Oz is a beautiful music box depicting Professor Marvel in his gypsy wagon to the right of that is a set made by Bears and let me tell you there's a lot of people in this place right now this is one of the best things to do when you're visiting Port Canaveral Cape Canaveral coming in a cruise ship that's what we did that's where we're here it's time to get immersed all right this is the immersive experience i think it's getting ready to [Music] start all right I think we're in the house there's the tornado now let me tell you something about this immersive experience i think he said it's 200 square ft in there don't quote me on that but they show space stuff to bring in Kennedy Space Center that is nearby here they do a lot of art stuff van Go beautiful beautiful little room it's an experience in itself you got to come see this place it is fabulous and then you get swept away by the Wizard of Oz and just look at the details on the floor [Music] incredible [Music] heat heat heat heat [Music] [Music] heat heat all [Applause] [Music] right here's a signed picture by Margaret Hamilton but what I find interesting in this right here it's from the lining of the witch's hat she is no more here's a movie
