HIGHLIGHTS | Granada CF vs. FC Barcelona (Liga F 2024-25 Matchday 24)

Granada will certainly do well to keep the Polish international quiet today. Here we go then. Scored a hat-trick the last time the sides met in that 10-1 thrashing back in September. Granada put up more of a fight today than played a neat Granada half at the moment. Pass in, field, and it's shot over the crossbar. And Alexia just couldn't keep it down. Alexia dispossessed by Janna. Barcelona again, certainly on their through here. Paloelo onto her left foot, and the shot's blocked again. This time it was Lowry. So far not managed to find a way through. Here we go again. Vicky looking to ask questions. She tries a shot, and it's a comfortable save in the end for Sandra. Good feet there from Vicky. Challenges, here comes Granada in behind. An opportunity, a real chance here. Edna, she's tried a little bit wide, but she tries a shot anyway. Comes off, Marta, in goes Ank for a throw-in. Again, that long ball downfield. Perhaps you could look at the exploits on Thursday night. 6-1 thrashing of Wolfsburg to make it into the Women's Champions League semi-finals. Tend to an aggregate that certainly have taken something out of this Barcelona team. But here they are on the attack. Paloelo making her way inside the penalty area. And a real chance here. And Alexia's touch just lets her down at the vital moment. But Barcelona will have a chance from a corner. Paloelo, Juba is there. To define the clear lines for Granada. Edna making a nuisance of herself. And she does well, gets a break of the ball. And here comes Granada on the attack. Perez. And the shot comes in. It's a decent attempt from Laura Perez. But just unable to find a target. Good strength again from Edna. Wasn't much on for Perez. Cheeky backheel. Xhana with the cross. There's a header. Glancing header. No real purchase on it. The shot comes in. It's deflected wide by Lauri. Edna with the header. Here comes Granada on the attack. Back putt here. Maria Leon. First involvement of the game. Paloelo. Xhana. It's by Alvarez. And cuts the ball across. It's a big chance. What a save that is! From Sandra to deny Pina. It was well worked, you've got to say. Xhana with the cutback. Huge stop. It was a Vicky. Maria Leon. Brutus. Oh, that's a teasing ball in. And Vicky again. Finding herself in behind. A touch lets her down. And a look of frustration on the face of the teenager. What a cross that was from Esme Brooks. I certainly hope for that. Chase. An opening goal. Shot comes in from distance. Another huge stop there from Sandra. That was hit with venom. Paloelo with the effort. Left footed drive. That was rifled into the corner. Brutus. Another wonderful pass. Paloelo. Into her left foot once more. But closed down. Patrick. Vicky. A drop of the shoulder. And then there's the opening goal. And Barcelona eventually find the breakthrough. It's a teenager. A huge sigh of relief for Barcelona. Huffed and puffed for 73 minutes. But they find a way through. Passed Sandra Estevez. And it's Vicky Lopez with a deaf finish. Barcelona again. Looking to add a second in quick succession. Real danger for Granada. And there is goal number two. Alexia, the skipper. Surely puts this game beyond doubt. And just like that, Barcelona find themselves hurtling towards another three points. Two goals in as many minutes. Pena. Paloelo. Big save again. Huge hand from Sandra. Paloelo. Engen. Maria Leon. Here's Brutus. Another tantalising ball inside the penalty area. And it nestles onto the roof from Payot. She's desperate to get her name on the score sheet today. But just unable to keep her header down. Engen. Well, there goes the full-time whistle. Barcelona emerge victorious here in Granada. But they were made to work for their victory. Two goals in as many second-half minutes. The first from the teenage sensation Vicky. A wonderful finish from the 18-year-old to break the deadlock on the 73rd minute.
