Hey there crafters! Today we are going to make these adorable bunny napkin ring holders for
our Easter table setting. You can get the SVG file and the free printable from geniseecreats.com.
I am going to show you how to make it with your Cricut and use the print and cut feature,
but if you don't have a cutting machine I also include the printable PDF file. You can just
print it out and cut it with your scissors. I have instructions at the top and it comes in brown,
white, and a pink bunny. So once you have my file downloaded you will find it in your downloads
folder. We're going to right click and hit extract all and save it to the same location.
Inside you'll find the SVG, PNG, EPS, and DFX and also my printable PDF file
and then along with my free license. It just lets you know the terms and conditions to use my files
and we are going to open up the SVG file in Cricut Design Space and if you are on a Windows
PC it might display with a internet icon and say HTML file. After it's uploaded we're going to
make sure that it uploaded the correct size and if it didn't please change the width to 6.5 inches
and that is how big we need our napkin ring to be. Then I'm just going to copy and paste
or hit duplicate so I can make more than one and I'm just going to make three so I can show you
how to change the different colors so it can match whatever cloth napkins you may have
or it can match your table setting. So we are going to ungroup all of these
SVGs that we just copied and we are going to select the bottom layer and you can see over
in the right layers panel the different shapes and I'm going to select the whole napkin ring except
the cut lines and then I'm going to hit flatten so this will make my whole napkin ring printable
and I am going to bring it under my cut lines. So I brought my cut lines back to the top so my
flattened image can be underneath and then I select both layers and I attach so that is ready
for a print and cut. So my second one I'm just going to select the whole napkin ring shape
underneath and change the color to pink and then I can change the little nose to
a different color pink just so it can stand out when it's printing because these shapes if they're
the same color on top of the same color it's not going to show. So I'm just changing each of my
features so it can stand out from the pink that it already has and next I am going to select all
the layers like I did with the first one except for the cut lines and hit flatten and then I'm
going to drag those cut lines back over the top because each action you do sends it automatically
to the top so that's why we got to get our cut lines back on top of our image and then we attach
it and then I'm going to do the same thing with the bottom one but I'm just going to make it white
so I'm just going to select my colors and get it to my liking so I'm just going to change this nose
to a lighter pink for my white bunny and then we're going to select each layer except for those
cut lines and hit flatten and then we are going to attach those cut lines to the flattened image
so now I have all these three napkin rings ready to print and then cut and I don't recommend
cutting out each layer with vinyl or cardstock because the facial features of the bunny like
the detail in the eyes or the whiskers can be hard to cut and it might just be too difficult
to adhere it to the cardstock so it's definitely up to you if you want to give it a try but I think
this SVG design is better as a print and cut and it's a lot easier and faster and
it will give you the same result as if you layered it on with cardstock or vinyl so just make sure
you use the bleed and you turn on system dialog so you can change your printer settings to high
you can leave it on plain white paper for cardstock and then just change your quality
print to high and then you are going to load it into your Cricut machine and it will read
your registration mark and I'm cutting on cardstock plus and then once they're done cutting
we could just take them off of our mat I like to flip my mat over and bend it back and now we have
our cute little bunny napkin ring holders and then really quick I want to show you how to use
my pdf file you just print it out straight from the document on a high quality print and then
you're going to cut it out with your scissors and you're just going to trim as close to the edge of
the napkin ring as possible and then there is dotted lines that you also need to cut slits into
and for around the face there's also dotted lines and we are going to use a exacto blade or a box
cutter to cut the slits because we are not cutting all the way through we're just going to cut along
the dotted line so just make sure you're on a cutting mat and do the slits around the bunny's
face and then to close up our rings we just curl them around and match up the slits and they will
stay closed and then I am using a 14 by 14 linen napkin this one is a blush pink that I got off
of Amazon and I am just going to fold it in half diagonally and then I'm going to start at the long
end with the two points and roll it until it is complete and then I am going to grab it in the
and cross it over so it can make an X and where it meets you just grab your napkin ring and wrap
it around and close it and then you can flip it over and now you have a cute little bunny
to put on your place settings and here is how adorable they came out you can change the colors
to match your linen napkins and if you want the option of having a name tag you can use a sharpie
marker on an artificial egg and write out your name in cursive and now you have cute little name
tags attached to your easter bunny. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial let me know what you
guys think down in the comments.
