I bought these farmer's cheese sticks with different flavors. I think it's actually a
Russian thing, these farmer's cheese sticks. I don't recall seeing them elsewhere. And this is
shingui. I love them so much, they're like so tasty. When I was little I used to just love them.
Finally I'm happy that I can have them back. I'm gonna have this one now. It's a simple chocolate
one covered in chocolate. And that's how it looks on the inside. This is just the basic one without
bulgur and some bell pepper. My today's meal. Hey guys, it's really early in the morning,
but I'm already outside. It's like half past six. Guess where I'm going? I'm going to my final
driving exam. Here I have my certificate of the finishing of the driving school and also my
medical report that I'm able to drive. And yeah, I do feel of course a little bit nervous,
but I thought it would be worse. I don't think that I'm gonna pass, of course I wish to pass,
but you know in the last moment yesterday they changed the location of the autodrome.
All we were thinking it's gonna be the one that we were driving before, but
yesterday they just sent a message to everyone that it's gonna be another one.
So that was a nice surprise as well. Anyway, I will just try myself, you know, try to do it,
try to be calm. I will see how it goes. Wish me luck, wish me calmness, and I will keep you updated.
Also I'm really not a morning person. It was so hard to wake up today. What's calming me now?
Is this bird singing? Do you hear it? Okay, I need to catch my bus.
Four people went. I told the guys it's like very difficult here. Almost no one is passing for the
first attempt. My exam was lasting like about two minutes actually. I made a mistake straight away.
But my mistake was like so minimal, so that was a little bit upsetting. The mistake was that
the inspector told me to make like a U-turn and proceed up direction and I was moving in the
right line and I needed to change the line. And when I was doing it, there was like a big truck
going from behind me and I was waiting until it passes. But my inspector said that I was making
like an obstacle for this truck because apparently I moved a little bit to the left.
I think I did not, maybe just like super minimal, but according to him that was a serious mistake
to make an obstacle and that's why I didn't pass straight away. So now my next attempt will be like
in about one month or so. But anyway, I was not thinking I'm gonna do it today, so it's okay.
Guys, check it out. It's first rain of this spring. That is so sudden. Not to see snow, but rain instead.
Guys, I'm still kind of trying to shake off this experience with today's driving exam.
Not gonna lie, it was kind of traumatizing again. This whole place there in general
is making me anxious. You probably already started hearing about my exam, but it's kind of my main
event right now. You know, like everything went wrong today since the very start.
Originally we were practicing in our driving school on the certain autodrome, that's how we call it.
But the one where we were going to pass the exam, it was a different autodrome. I've been there only
once and that was already a little bit, you know, uncomfortable. I was not very familiar with it,
but I was thinking at least I've been there once, so I know where everything is situated there.
But yesterday, just like one day before the exam, they suddenly are writing that we're gonna have
our exam on the third autodrome, on which I also been only once at least. So I was like, oh my god,
okay, new situation. But all right, I will have to adjust somehow. And today when everyone came to
this third autodrome, the inspector of this transport police came and said, hey, we are now
all together going to completely new place, the place where no one have practiced and even have
never been there, you know, so we didn't even see this place before. So everyone got super terrified
and nervous. And even though I was trying to calm myself, I also like kind of got nervous. And when
we got there, we started to figure out how to do everything while we were waiting for the start of
the exam and how it was happening. I was second who was going, so the first girl sat to the car
with the inspector and they started to drive. And other three girls, including me, were driving in
the next car with our instructor as a driver, so we were just following them, waiting when she
finishes, so I will sit next to him. Normally, if she would complete everything, the exam would last
like about 15 minutes. If she makes mistakes, the serious one, the exam could stop straight away,
and next person comes to the car. So that exactly what happened, she was driving like about five
minutes, then she made a mistake, and I sat next, and I also made a mistake even faster than her.
And another two girls after me also didn't pass the exam. I don't even know if any of those people
who are coming today passed the exam, because the instructor was like really, really serious guy,
the tough one. So yeah, my next attempt is in one month. I don't even know how to prepare myself,
to be honest, because it's not that I don't know something, I kind of think I have all the skills
needed. I'm just nervous, you know, and I'm actually wondering how many times it should take for me to
stop being that nervous. And so I will have another attempt in one month, if I don't pass this one,
I will have another one in one month again, and if I don't pass these first three ones,
then the next one will be only in half a year. So we will see again. Dinners for my sons,
the meat that I made earlier with rice and cucumbers with tahini.
We'll make a little sweet treat for my sons.
See ya!
Wow, such a frozen pond. Check out, guys, that's how my son organized his tangerines,
from big to small, very funny. My mom brought us this dessert yesterday,
it's called chak-chak, it's very popular in Russia. I'm pretty sure it's coming from one of the
Middle Eastern countries, not sure which. If you know, let me know in the comments,
I will show you now how it looks. Basically, it's like a pieces of dough, like little pieces of
bread, I guess, and it's sticked together with honey, and it's really delicious.
My son's today lunch, a mix of bulgur and rice, sausage and tomatoes.
Hey, guys, I'm on the way now to one cool spot, at least I think it's really cool,
I haven't ever been there, but it's an old donut shop, which is like older than 60 years,
so it goes back to Soviet Union, and apparently it hasn't changed a lot there, and even the recipe
of the donuts is the same, and all the design inside. And the cool thing is that this place
is like really close to me, it's like just 15 minutes walking, but I've never been there,
and my mom used to tell me that when she was little, when they were finishing school,
they were running all together to this donut shop, but for some reason I've never been there,
so today is the day, I want to check it out, and actually I'm meeting a friend there,
so it's gonna be double the fun. Also today in the morning me and my son forgot his drawing
in the shop, when we were returning from his classes, and luckily they still had it now,
when I came, when I stopped by on the way, that's great news, because I really like this drawing,
what translates to Russian as donut shop, basically, and check it out,
if it's right, and if it even remains the same, I guess. Check out this mosaic on the walls, guys.
These for sure remain the same,
and this one represents the Russian tea party, with a big samovar and tea pot.
These windows are so cool,
so, so, pretty.
Oh, also I haven't spotted it at first, it's written there,
which means donut to your tea. While I'm waiting for my friend, I've ordered something that is
called apricot nectar, some kind of apricot juice, I guess, but the cute thing about this is the glass,
it's something what everyone used to drink from in Soviet Union,
this particular type of glasses, and this is not a donut yet, it's just a bun called
and I will give it a try until I'm waiting, and later I will order some donut as well.
Let's try the nectar.
It's something in between the juice and compote.
Also, it was like super cheap, I spent only 80 rubles on these two things.
I'm already back home, that was a lot of fun, I met my friend like from very very old times,
when I used to live here in Novosibirsk, we used to sing together in a band, and it was great times,
so it was just so cool to meet, and it felt almost like we never separated,
was like really comfortable to be with her. Anyway, even though I ate some donuts,
I still feel kind of hungry, so we're gonna cook lunch for myself now.
I did a little bit of groceries, I needed to buy the tomato paste, I will make a chicken of it
right now, so I bought as well the fillet from the chest and from the thighs. Also, I saw this
it's like kind of a jam, a preserve, and it's made of pine cones, and I just had to buy it,
because I never tried it, even though it's kind of traditional for Russia, I guess people are doing
it, you know, it's because we have a lot of pine trees here, so yeah, people are creative, and they
even doing varenye out of it, and you know, this one had a really good ingredients, just
two actually, pine cones and sugar, so I really wanted to try it, so we'll do it today.
And then I just bought a garlic salt, there is not only garlic, but also timyan, basil,
pepper, and other stuff. Then I saw these lucky cookies with kittens, and I also had to buy it,
because my little son is obsessed with kittens and obsessed with lucky cookies, and those two
have all of those together in one box, so it just was a no-brainer. Then I bought the sour cream
and tomatoes, and this farmer's cheese stick with condensed milk, and just simple cocoa.
Wow, so much for spring.
Let's try the pine cones jam. I can never open the jars. Okay, I need a minute. Okay, I'm back.
It has a really weird smell, reminds me... I don't know what it reminds me about. Check it out, guys.
They're like real little baby pine cones. Everything is dripping, oh my god. Okay, let's try it.
It's kind of jam, you know, just sweet, has a little weird flavor. If you can imagine pine cone,
but a jam made out of it, that's exactly how it tastes. Probably it's not going to be my favorite, though.
My groceries today. I bought some apples, cucumbers, bananas, white yogurt,
some toast bread, and Napoleon cake. If you haven't figured yet out of my latest videos,
I'm currently on a Napoleon cake. Let me know if you also like it. Guys, remember I was making the
breakfast thingy in my last video, when I was mashing the banana with white yogurt and some
flakes and dry fruits. If you haven't seen it, you can check it. So what I thought, that actually it
would make an excellent pancake dough, if I would just add an egg to it. So that what I'm going to
do right now, I would like to experiment with this. Wish me luck. So I will use these products,
the banana, egg, yogurt, the white one, this mix of flakes, and some frozen berries. First of all,
we will mash the banana. I'm actually a little bit of worried about this banana, because
it's kind of not ripe enough, it's a little bit greenish, so probably it will not be sweet enough
and not soft enough. So maybe I will have to add some honey. Okay, so I mashed the banana. I think
I did it as well as I could, considering it's not too soft. I even got a little tired doing it.
Now let's add the white yogurt.
Added everything. Now add in the egg. It kind of has a really weird shape, don't you think? Anyways,
egg is here. Now we'll add these flakes. Then I'm adding the spoon of honey.
Also I think I will add some baking powder. I don't know if it's gonna be helpful, but
I feel like everyone does it when they make pancakes, so let's do it as well.
I'm gonna mix everything now. That's the dough right now. I will also go ahead and add the berries.
I will let it for about five minutes, so the flakes will soak the liquid.
All right, let's do it, guys. I'm a little bit worried, not gonna lie. Spreading some butter
and waiting until it's warm enough. Prepare the pancake thingy. Okay, I will start.
Okay, the first turn was not very successful. The rest were not that bad.
Okay, the dough is over and it's my last batch. The pancakes are done. I'm gonna try one.
I did a little pre-try and it kind of was not sweet enough, so I'm adding this caramel.
It's kind of a little bit too sour in my opinion and well, not sweet enough. I mean,
it's kind of edible with some topping like caramel or some kind of jam or condensed milk. It's kind
of not bad. I think I just probably needed to add some more sweetener to it, like
more honey or some syrup and it kind of would change everything.
Yeah, when it's sweet, it's kind of tasty, so not bad at all. Check out, guys, what a beautiful piece
of Soviet architecture. It requires some reconstruction, of course,
but I just love this type of buildings from Stalin era. Look at these beautiful details.
Actually, all the buildings on the street are kind of from this epoch, from these times in history.
So pretty. I think this one across the street is kind of the twin of the one which I showed you
before, but unlike the previous one, this one was reconstructed and colored. Also, check out
this entrance to these internal blocks. They also were preserved from everything that was so monumental back then.
Mom just brought us borscht.
Also my current fixation, eggs with tomatoes and beef mince. Do you also, guys, go into stages
like these when you eat the same foods every day for like a month and then switch into something
else? Also, guys, I wanted to say a big thank you for your response to my latest video, where I
announced that I made a new channel, where I'm sharing more of my personal thoughts, my experience
on overcoming anxiety, on my spiritual journey, on nervous system regulation, awareness and other
related topics, and I had no idea that so many of you would want to follow me there as well. That
was so incredible and I'm so grateful for this. So if you're watching it now and you also would like to
check out my other channel, if you are interested in these subjects too,
you are very welcome, I appreciate everyone there, it's called Be Nastya, and I will link it below as well.
