Welcome back to the channel. I'm Karim. Today, we're embarking on a new artistic journey
We'll be learning how to draw a girl's face in a 3-4 view
Our goal is to reach 1 million subscribers and become the largest art community on YouTube. Every like and subscription brings us one step closer
Let's create something amazing together. All right artists before we dive into drawing
Let's go over the basic guidelines for this 3-4 view using the Loomis method
It's gonna make our lives a lot easier. First, we divide the face into two main sections
The first section which is the larger one represents the upper part of the head
It's a circle that starts from the top of the head and ends at the upper jaw roughly around the middle of the mouth
This isn't a strict or always accurate rule
But in most cases it falls around the middle of the mouth
The second section is the lower jaw which consists of several slanted lines that define the shape of the jaw based on the angle at
Which we're drawing the face the lines are just to fit the appropriate jaw shape for that angle
Now we draw the vertical line which is in the center of the face
I started from between the eyebrows and ended at the middle of the chin or the middle of the mouth if you've been following my
Lessons consistently, you'll know this is my usual way of drawing this vertical line as for the small circle
It confuses many artists because they don't know where to place it
Simply put this circle starts at the end of the eyebrow and continues to the end of the large circle in most cases
This is where the small circle is placed. There are a few specific cases will explain in upcoming lessons
Now all that's left are the horizontal lines which divide the face into three equal sections created by four horizontal lines
The first line is the hairline which we draw in line with the top of the small circle next
The second line is the eyebrow line usually drawn at the center of the large circle
The third line is the nose line and we draw it in line with the bottom of the small circle its edge
finally the chin line which is equal in distance to the space between the hairline and the eyebrow line and the distance between the eyebrow
Line and the nose line is the same as the distance from the nose line to the chin line
This way we divide the face into three equal sections
Now after explaining all the guidelines we'll be using for this portrait if you truly want to learn the right way
You should follow along with me from the beginning to the end of the video without skipping any part
I recommend you try drawing with me step by step
