gonna download it And after you download it what you're gonna do is you'll be able to come down here We're gonna open up Cricut Design Space today Okay now I love Cricut and anytime I post a hypercritical video where it's just like me being open and honest people get confused I love Cricut I love Cricut Anyway we're just going to go to upload We're going to come over here to our Finder We're going to go to downloads We're go unzip it And we are going to open the folder and we are going to drag and drop that SVG Here is the file It's again a very basic shape Technically I guess you couldn't build this yourself but why would you um we're just going to press confirm and upload Super easy Love it So all you're going to do is uh we're going to be able to size this And I'm just going to go ahead and ungroup it cuz I want this to be able to do its own thing So love it Love it We're not cutting that out of the uh paper Yeah Um Christine it that is a great question for customer I want to take our amazing amazing um little mat and we just need to measure it So let's go ahead and grab a amazing measuring tape This the best measuring tape Yeah So we have Sorry I'm having to reach over the Cricket Um we have roughly 5 in by I say seven So we could do maybe like a 3 and 12 by five maybe Let's see what happens when I do this Three and a [Music] half It makes it pretty big of your candy that you're putting in here These are pretty big And what kind of emit like top of what they're just kiss They're just plain old Hershey kisses but they're pretty Love it I love it Love it So they're exciting when you open So we're going to make this pretty big So this is roughly Let's see how wide our little ears are here So our ears are roughly Yep Right at 3.75 And we're looking at almost seven So yeah this is very similar to the size So we're going to leave it just like this Um and yeah so it's super simple We're going to cut the little flower We're going to cut two of these out So I'm just going to duplicate and I'm go change the color of these two Maybe make one smaller since they're the same Yeah we'll do it green Um and then we'll make them a little smaller Tanner I'm surprised you have not closed that cricket One thing about Tanner the way this is I'm going to tell process stuff Tanner will come to mine or Lauren's desk and he will stand behind her cricket just like that and we'll be talking and he will close it He'll close the cricket every single We'll be talking and I'll just mess around with the cricket while we're having a full conversation So and then we'll go to use it and like close So um that is pretty much it We're go press make it and we're going to first cut on the mat We always cut on the mat Um we're going to cut This is the hardest part is cutting our beautiful little uh little bunny out with the amazing amazing paper bag So we're gonna not cut the paper bag apart Okay We're not doing that We're cut through both We're gonna cut through both It's gonna be a little hacky hack Yeah Very excited We're going to use card stock setting But the most important part let's go overhead Notice that we are one inch down and one inch over So one inch down one inch over And then we're going to tape it So from here you need some masking tape You're going to tape the stove So technically guys the top of the mat is where it says Nicipa Yep And there's the hole at the top of that's the top left of the mat So that's why it's directed this way Yes Yes Yes Yes And honestly since we're t cutting through the whole one like I wanted to make sure it's like not getting down here at the bottom like we're using this main area Okay So we're just going to secure this down And you are prone You're more liable You're more exposed for a craft fill but it's kind of part of the fun Yeah And the good thing about it is you're not wasting a bunch of money because you're using Dollar Tree brown paper bag Love it Okay So we've taped this down We're now going to position the bunny a little bit below that 1 in mark here And it's over So it looks really good It's going down to the little bit below the 9 in Oh my gosh It's going to be perfect I'm actually going to move it down a little bit more Okay So position that now You're going to press continue We're connecting to our machine We can load it in And we're going to use medium card stock You can do a lot but we do want it to cut through all the way So we're going to load this in White bags would be so cute with this too And I think they sell white bags at the Dollar Tree as well Guys my cricket buttons flashing You have to really push Yeah you just have to like push it like you mean it That is one thing about these new machines Yeah And I don't know if it's just ours And if you guys have a new maker let us know But we have to like push it hard Yeah Okay So we're going to stay on the main camera We're going to press the go button and we're going to see what happens We can go little pom pom or a cotton ball would be so cute for a tail Adorable Or just any type of round like little button would be cute for a little bunny tail These are like crafts that I would have made without like without a Cricut just for fun I feel like this is something you could just whip up Oh for sure For sure Okay So we're going to have this ready to go and we're going to go to mat one And what we're going to do is we're going to press edit We're just going to move one of these over to the corner So you need one in this corner one in this corner Press done We're going to use medium card don't actually sew on the ears because we want our ears to be really floppy So we're really only sewing this like a little snowman shape you know What would you say to someone that has never sewed before um I would say if you're wanting to this is a good beginner project but also this is paper so it's different It's different Yeah it is different Um but it's fine We're going to we're going to get through it together Love it Okay so this is the original I don't know if we need to flash back over there so you guys can see it Um at first we were going to use like little like the pins Um but these were just not working You can It's such an easy sew that you really don't have to do that So you want to leave an opening We're going to stack them together as neatly as possible And we are going to put this right under here This is already threaded Okay I'm going to start right here at the base of the neck And I'm gonna go in about a quarter of an inch Okay So we're just sliding this right underneath on under the foot of the sewing machine And I'm just trying to find a good spot Okay And then this paper is very thin Okay I mean we're dealing with Yeah So you don't ever if you're sewing you don't want to just like put the foot down which is this little piece You don't want to just put it down and then start onto the petal because um well it can break your needle There's lots of reasons Um but you want to take your knob and punch through the fabric or the paper first and then you'll start sewing Okay So we're going to go slow I've got this on just like a standard stitch Um nothing crazy You can do a zigzag stitch if you want to be cutesy but you know we're not going to get crazy And actually now that I have the needle in I'm going to kind of angle this So I'm just going to spin this So I'm lifting the foot up and kind of angling it so it can start at an angle Now sewing circles is a lot harder than sewing squares And that's like known Now where are we going to leave it open for the candy i'm going to leave a little flap open about halfway through the belly Honestly it doesn't matter too much Um but you do want to make sure you leave a big enough spot I may even leave his head open Okay Okay Let's go And I'm just going to go slow at first Slow And then It's so fun to watch sewing I love sewing Why is my I've got my speed like dialed all the way down You know what we're just going to keep it that way I mean I think we need it today It's so slow Oh I love it But it's working really well How thick is your seam it's about a/4 inch Okay So I wish you Look how cute I don't know why but the stitch just makes it And honestly you could do like a baby pink color stitch or baby blue like an Easter color Yeah And it would be so stinking cute y'all I have the petal all the way down I appreciate this speed I do too because um I don't sew paper a lot but you don't want to make your seam too big otherwise it's not going to puff open for your candy So okay we're just going to do that like this is honestly a little bit too far in I probably could have done less but also it looks really cute So you got to find that happy happy balance So I'm going to go all the way around up onto the head but we got to leave an opening So don't sew it up or you've got to Yeah I don't know how seam ripping is going to go on paper projects so you don't want to have to do that All right Love it This is great posture I have here I agree Okay Now I'm right at the nape of the neck on the other side I'm going to kind of lift my foot I could technically just keep sewing You got to be careful cuz the little candy has to fit I know I'm going to just sew to the base of this ear Okay So I'm going to sew to the base of the first ear It's fine And I think that'll be a big enough space for us And you can put like we have pretty big candies You could honestly just do like jelly beans or like moose candy Yeah we love some prepackaged Yeah we do Okay And then I'm going to open that Make sure you pull your needle up If you try to pull it out it's going to rip your paper Fabric wouldn't normally rip but paper's going to rip We have me like little scissors Little scissors Or these are fine Okay These are fun Okay so let me show you guys what this looks like so far Oh yay So we've sewed it to there We started at the base of the neck and we've got this little baby opening Oh that's going to be closed No that's what I was worried about it I was worried about it It was so tight Here I'm just going to loosen it Let's see how one fits in here Put you got Maybe Will it Will it If it fits it ships If it fits it ships It ships I was This is me trying to put my This is me trying to put my jeans on last night for We've got pictures tomorrow Okay look What I'm going to do is just loosen this stitch Give me You want like tweezers give me a weeding tool Well this was featured on Makers to Learn My Favorite Things so I've got to give it to you These are Lauren Caesar tweezers Look at that Okay If you accidentally sew it up too much all you're going to do is loosen this stitch You can use a seam ripper but remember it's paper We got Cricut tools We're crafting We're crafters We use Cricut tools And I am just loosening these stitches up And we'll sew back over it Okay I'm learning how forgiving sewing can be Yes that's the beauty of sewing Okay I think we just needed a couple inches couple centimeters maybe Let's try Okay Nope We need a little bit more We need a little more You would think that that but this little I think the secret is to leave the opening down here Yeah I think so too So leave your opening down in the big belly part Yeah because that neck is so narrow Yeah And we want it we want it to be like a half an inch in or quarter of an inch in Right So I'm just going to love the problem solving we have today Yeah And I'm sure you know you guys are going to run into this to do Exactly Exactly Just by the tips of the candy Listen did someone say just about the tips of the candy yes I've already been eating I've already been eating them all day every time I pass by Oh no Okay I mean if that don't fit honey There she goes Okay I'm going to shove that one down in there And then just keep putting them in You could probably fit like four or five in here maybe Depends on how chubby you want your bunny Love it I'm You know you got your own fabric scissors usually Yeah Okay So what I'm going to do next is I'm going to sew this up So you're going to want to keep your little bunny pieces together Don't let them Don't let it separate get out of line Yeah cuz it's full of stuff now So it's a little bit wonkier Yeah So I am starting back where we stopped You're just going to start back where you stopped Line up your stuff It kind of will overlap just a little bit Is that okay yep that's fine And then you just want to line it up Now you didn't back stitch or anything after you quit Is that okay yeah I think it's okay for a project like this because we're going to be ripping it open Okay But if it were something else I would add a back stitch um for this Aren't you proud I knew something about sewing i am actually proud that you know what a back stitch is I know I'm crazy My Listen my sewing knowledge is like equivalent to like any standard crafter sewing knowledge Like I've just learned everything as I've Well you know you know how to do it Yeah I do love it I made um if you guys didn't know already I made car trash bags for years and I sold them in like uh vendor spots in town and my shop name was so trashy Stop it Trash bag My logo was I had a local tattoo artist draw my logo and it was like a mom tattoo and it said so trashy It was like my favorite I was in so good Um but anyways yeah that's how I learned how to sew And I watched a DVD that came with my sewing machine A DVD What year was this like 2008 I got a sewing machine Wow For Christmas Yeah Wow And I sat on a stool in my floor A my parents house Courtney says "The secret to learning sewing is doing it in the floor."
