What's up everyone?
I'm Jeff Teague.
I'm on location in California, and I'm going to bring to you right now, we're going to
walk around the outside.
The inside.
I'm going to show you what I know about the all new 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro.
This is the capstone edition.
Let's get started.
Let's get started in here.
Okay, so here it is right here.
This is the supersonic red capstone.
Just take a look.
Feast your eyes on this monster.
There are going to be five different trim levels of Sequoia.
You'll see SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and then the capstone.
Look at the use of chrome and color keyed accents all throughout the exterior styling.
It's amazing.
You'll also notice, we're going to get a closer look, you've got those 22 inch alloys.
First time on a Sequoia.
Look at the styling all the way around it.
The bumper accents, the lights.
As we look around, you can see marker lights.
You can see light bar, fog lights.
We've got front cameras, and then it's got the 18 inch BBS forged TRD wheels, matte black
with red accents.
You can also notice the technical camo that we found on our friend Tundra as well.
And then let's open it up here so we can see what we've got for capabilities here.
This is the I-Force Max, which means it's a 3.5 liter twin turbo parallel hybrid system,
which means the electric motor is right in between the engine and the transmission.
It's made into a 10 speed automatic transmission.
Together, you get amazing power.
We've got 437 horsepower, 583 pound feet of torque.
This thing can fly.
Now, if you look at the front end, you're going to see a lot of similarities to our
friend Tundra here.
As a matter of fact, you'll see a lot of similarities to Tundra and the Global Land Cruiser.
It's got the fully boxed frame, just like you see in Land Cruiser and in Tundra.
Look at these LED lights that swing around here.
It's beautiful.
It's menacing.
It's imposing.
And then we've got LED fog lights down below, and you'll see gloss black accents along with
the silver accent too.
But then we've got this beautiful chrome grill.
You'll see the blue.
That's right.
Sequoia is only in hybrid form.
This is the I-Force Max.
You'll see parking sensors on the front and the back.
And look, we've got cameras, so we'll have different camera angles as well.
Look at this grill.
Does that not look tough?
It's menacing, in fact.
But you can see the marker lights, the Toyota Heritage-inspired grill, got the front camera,
Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 on this one.
You can see it's got parking sensors along with the LED fog lights.
And as the lights wrap around, you start to see TRD Pro.
Now what's interesting to me is, again, the profile.
It shares similar properties to Tundra.
We see bold lines throughout, but it's very simple in a way, and it gives it its own identity.
Now we'll see use of chrome accents.
We'll also see cameras underneath the side mirrors in the back, front grill, but we've
got side mirror caps, chrome, door handles, chrome, the plate line, chrome.
Window accents.
Whoa, baby.
How you doing?
Look at those wheels there, Joey Tribbiani.
What do we got?
22-inch.
And take a look at the profile here, and notice the use of gloss black all the way through.
We've also got some technical camo, got gloss black accents here, and then we've got color
keyed handles, black side mirror caps.
It does come with turn signal indicator and also blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic
alert as well, my friends.
And then I'm going to go in a little bit closer.
So we can see this one has the TRD boards.
It's also got the technical camo that you see on Tundra TRD Pro as well.
Those wheels, it's impressive, my friends.
And then this also has the Fox suspension.
So you'll see the Fox shocks with internal bypass reservoirs.
That way, it's off-road capable.
Now, the back end is really interesting here.
I love how they've got nice, bold, but simple Sequoia label here, built-in license plate,
apparently.
We've got a backup camera, but also a backup camera washer.
And watch this.
Although the glass does not raise and lower like you'd see in a Tundra CrewMax, it does
have the glass popped, which is what a lot of new Highlander owners are hoping for is,
where did the glass go?
Well, maybe it's in here.
But we've got parking sensors, gloss black.
And we'll see down here, I'll pan in on this one, that's the hands-free sign.
So really, you can walk up to it and kick it.
If I had the keys in my hand, you could kick it open.
That way, if you got cargo, load it, load it, load it.
If you want to open it up, backup camera here, got a little floodlight.
Then we've got dual pipes down here, parking sensors.
And you can see that this is part of the new cargo system.
We've got cargo shelves, so you can stack things at different levels.
And that way, you can make the best use of storage possible, which is really great here.
And you can start to see the black and white semi-aniline behind the seats.
Look at that storage system.
And then we do have 400 watts, 120 volt grounded outlet, along with the light.
And then, let's see if we can get this to...
See how the seats fold down, huh?
Okay.
We're going to do that one too.
Now, what you'll notice is, you're not going to see them fold flat into the floor.
Buffalo Bill says there's a little bit of a hump there.
Then we'll give you a quick tour of the inside.
This is black and white semi-aniline leather.
It's incredibly soft. Feels like oiled leather.
This is not the Sequoia we all know and love.
This is the new Sequoia we're all drooling over.
This is amazing. What a great job.
Toyota hit a home run with this one.
This has standard second row captain chairs.
And then what we can do is, we can tumble it forward to expose the third row.
You can see it's got a sunshade, which is an unusual thing because you've got built-in sun protection in the glass.
But then you've also got an unusual shape, but it fits the retractable sunshade.
So here's the third row.
And then with the third row, if we want to raise it.
And here I am in the back.
You can see it's a little tight as far as headroom. I'm about 5'8".
Now this one here has a seat you can actually slide it forward 6 inches.
And that's a great benefit because you can free up more legroom for people in the back seat and stretch out.
And then take a look here.
As we look at the interior.
Look at the use of black and white.
And then as we focus on and look at the perforated seats.
We have grab handles as you approach.
Sunshades, I like.
We've got rear temperature, USBs, as well as a USB in the back in the third row.
And grounded outlet.
And you see that panoramic roof.
It has memory seats.
This is American walnut with open pores so you can see the grains.
It's got power folding side mirrors.
Look at all the controls.
This has automatic running boards and I can push this button.
And then they go back in as well.
Pop that up.
I see thigh extension.
Power steering wheel.
Leather wrapped steering wheel.
So as we come over here.
You can see more of the accents.
Look at that detail that's put into these seats.
That's premium.
That's distinguished.
And then similar to our friend Tundra.
Got a multi-stage with USBs.
Capstone is available in two-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel drive.
We've got drive modes that include normal, eco, sport.
Sport S plus.
Electronic parking brake.
We've got different camera viewpoints.
You can see the trailering.
You can see along the sides of, overhead, in front of, behind.
It's all digital here.
And then we've got that giant JBL system.
14-inch multimedia touch screen.
And some room up here.
And then I believe it has the 10-inch color head-up display as well.
So what do you guys think?
And then let's look inside.
You can see, again, if you're familiar with Toyota Racing development, TRD Pros.
You're going to notice I see a moonroof up there.
I do not see pano moonroof.
But you can see a lot of properties similar to TRD Pros in other popular Toyota models.
You see technical camo.
Black with red stitching.
And you'll see badging all through the front.
Because we want people to know that it's a TRD Pro, right?
It's got memory seats.
Power folding side mirrors.
Again, this is something that's going to be known as capability.
But also high class.
Has a lot of features similar to what you'd find in the luxury trim levels of other vehicles.
I like the grip on the steering wheel here.
It also has a heated steering wheel.
14-inch multimedia touchscreen, I see.
I love this volume knob.
We've got USB on the right-hand side.
And this one comes capable of your off-roading adventures.
It's got to handle it, right?
We've got locking rear differential.
But we've also got, that's right, we've also got downhill assist.
We've got crawl control, multi-terrain select, different drive modes, and tow haul mode.
You can see the room here for the wireless charging.
And then look at this.
The Toyota badge right here.
How retro is that?
That is fantastic.
Like Arnold would say, it's fantastic.
And then storage there as well.
Let's pan over to the back seats.
You see it has standard second row captain chairs.
And the third row is down for now.
Hop on in, Dukeboy style here.
If you want to recline your seat, you can do that.
As far as headroom, it kind of slopes upward to open up just a little bit.
I'm 5'8".
This one here just has a clear walkway.
It doesn't have a console or anything like that.
But there are holders in the sides where you can put your drinks and things like that.
It has pockets.
Pretty cool stuff.
I like the room though.
And this is with the seats down.
If I want to put the seats up, I can do that.
We're doing it at the same time!
Holla!
Keep going.
Alright, there we go.
Still figuring it out.
But down here we also have a grounded outlet and our power controls.
And if I want to tumble this forward...
I'll tumble for ya.
Here's the room that we've got in the back.
And this one does slide.
Look at the rear seats.
They actually slide forward about 6 inches.
See? 6 inches.
And then slide back.
More power controls.
Etc.
And etc.
And here's the view from second row.
Boy, that is really something.
You sure this is a Sequoia?
Sequoia iForce Max Hybrid is scheduled for production and retail delivery starting in the summer.
Pricing in MPG, so don't ask.
It's not available right now, but we're gonna get it.
We're gonna get it, I promise.
Everyone, thanks for watching.
