Hi, I'm Brandon Chin and I'm excited to introduce you to your first Canon EOS V series product.
This series represents a new platform of camera products intended to empower the creative vision
of video content creators for the future. Know that we at Canon are here to create with you
and to show you that we mean it, this is the new EOS R50V, an interchangeable lens camera product
built to be as creative as you are and blending the cinema EOS and EOS camera lines together.
This camera was designed for video content creation. It is bold and a departure from our
standard EOS line of cameras. And using creator feedback, it features exciting user interface
elements to empower creativity, ease of use, and to solve the daily challenges of creating.
Firstly, we've optimized this camera not just for traditional video, but also vertical video
creation. Just like our cinema EOS C70 and C80 cameras, it has both a horizontal and a vertical
tripod mount. This allows easy vertical mounting without the need for a cage. The camera automatically
detects when it's vertically composed in video modes and seamlessly rotates the shooting
information for optimal viewing. When using the RFS 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens, the camera's
zoom lever offers convenient one-finger zooming that has two speed settings, and it is fully
customizable. And since many content creators are not just working behind the camera, but also in
front of the camera, this new design features two video recording buttons, one in front for easy
access when vlogging, and another on top for traditional operation. Additionally, the combination
of a front tally lamp and a red recording emphasis frame on the variable LCD screen will help you or
your subject to know when you're recording. In a departure from tradition, the new mode dialed
experience features seven different video focus modes at your fingertips. Newcomers to video can
utilize the fully automatic functionality, including a dedicated video mode for close-up demos,
for e-commerce demonstrations. There's also a dedicated movie mode for movie image stabilization
for those recording vlogs on the go. And because appearance is important on camera, a dedicated
smooth skin movie mode is also included so you can have confidence when recording. This camera
isn't just for the video newcomer. The EOS R50V provides a tremendous value and feature set for
advanced users. The use of the camera is slow and fast mode. This allows creative control of your
video frame rate and playback speed separately in-camera for slow motion recordings or fast
motion time-lapse sequences. There's oversampled 4k full-width recording at 23.98 and 29.97p,
4k crop recording at 50.994p, and full HD recording at up to 119.8p, all featuring audio
recording. With long-form recording capability of up to two hours, it is a great fit for podcasts
and other applications. For workflow flexibility, Canalog 3, HLG, and PQ recording are all available
to deliver rich color at up to 422 10-bit. A new color filter mode has also been added,
providing 14 different color options accompanying the well-known picture style menu. And now creating
cinematic aspect ratio video is easier than ever with the new cinema view mode, which creates
letterboxed cinematic aspect ratio video. It also has the dual pixel CMOS autofocus 2 system,
as well as the register people priority function for incredibly powerful autofocus.
Overall, there are far too many features to list as you can see on screen. But with all that said,
rest assured that the EOS R50V has powerful stills functionality with a full-fledged
photo mode available. Ideal for content creators creating social media posts, BTS images,
thumbnails, and more. This camera also offers tremendous networking capability,
offering 2.4 and 5 gigahertz band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in live streaming capability
via both Canon Camera Connect app and the Live Switcher mobile app. Additionally,
its USB-C terminal offers USB streaming for use of the camera as a webcam. And separately,
an HDMI streaming mode offers a clean HDMI connection to HDMI capture cards, providing
multiple options to connect with your audience. All these settings can be accessed through the
live button. But if live streaming isn't your thing, it is one of eight different customizable
video buttons on the camera. So for those of you looking at the EOS R50V as a first-time
camera buyer, there's a lot of versatility. It sports a powerful 24 megapixel APS-C image sensor
and a Digic X image processor. And as a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera,
it is built with the Canon RF mount, allowing the use of over 50 different RF and RFS lenses
in our ever-expanding line, as well as our tremendous catalog of EF and EFS lenses
through our suite of EF to EOS R mount adapters. In short, this means tremendous creative potential
and a lot of options for growth and expansion. Thank you to all the Canon creators who have
shared their passion and insights with us over the years. We hope that you enjoy this new camera
and all the ways we've used your feedback to empower it. Know that this is just the beginning
of the new Canon EOS R series. I'm Brandon Chin. Thanks for watching and have fun out there.
