what's up you guys welcome back to another weekend in my life in New York City this is a special weekend for me because I'm only in town for one weekend in the month of April and that is this weekend in my life i am excited i just am coming off of a trip to Austin Texas and then straight to California but I had a really nice leisurely morning kind of is i was kind of jetlagged so I kind of woke up a little late but you know I took about an hour or so and then I met Brooke we had some meetings which was really honestly kind of fun because we got to bop around the city together and it was a beautiful day sorry about my microwave making noise and then I popped by my girl Mickey for my nails i wanted to do a butter yellow color for spring and my nails are slowly growing back i did like the short nails last month and now they're slowly growing back so I love the little butter yellow color but it's Friday afternoon i clearly need to unpack i don't know if that'll happen today honestly i'm going to take a little bit chill and then my friend Cass invited me over tonight might do that but I have lots of fun activities planned this weekend thanks to Groupon i'm so excited um to kind of take you guys along the weekend and yeah I just wanted to kind of do a little intro but hello one thing about me I'm gonna get comfortable immediately so finished up some work hopped in the shower washed my hair i hadn't washed my hair since Tuesday and today it's Friday actually that's like not a lot of time at all i feel like I've just lived a lot of life since Tuesday i was in LA we were doing podcast recordings live show in Irvine if you guys were at our Irvine show thank you so much it was such a fun night and then I was at I don't know i just feel like my hair has been all over the world this week so I needed to wash it and it feels so nice and it's air drying right now i just changed into this set this is from Gap so cute we're having a chill Friday night my friend Cass and I both realized that our boyfriends are out of town ryan's on a bachelor trip his first bachelor trip ever he's so excited and then her boyfriend's at a wedding so I don't know we were just like we should hang out so I don't know it just kind of happened so she invited me over she just moved to this beautiful new apartment and she's honestly just treating me to a lovely night so but I did say don't you worry cuz I know she loves a sweet treat and I have this cookie dough that can be used so it's a little used but I used this with her when she was here the other day we made cookies so like she'll understand why this has already been open so anyways that'll be my contribution we're getting 12 chairs and I'm really excited it's just kind of a nice tone to set for the weekend because the rest of the weekend we have lots of plans we're booked and busy so it'll be nice to just chill on her couch and giggle and be cozy so let's go okay let me get the food oh I can't get over her apartment she just moved here and it already looks amazing she also worked with my interior designer Sierra oh my god she has Sex in the City on also she put this fire together before I got here all on her own i'm assuming it's like a real fire she's like I got some wood it's so cute in the Sex in the City on we're about to have the best night ever wow we got 12 chairs so what did you get what's that um this is like a meat in a meat oh fun i always get like different things than you yeah try different things this is dumplings they have dumplings at 12 wow you really did get all kinds of things do you remember the hummus now that you got it that you're seeing the pre-done hummus so good looks good the salad it's so freaking good this is the hummus which looks No it's so juicy and like the pa is warm and this is chicken for the salad but we're going to dig in no so yay ah this looks so good girls night girls night we're by the fire well I wanted you I want to figure out So Cass said she saw a movie on Netflix that she thinks that we'd like cuz it was like trending or whatever don't tell me it's anyone but you oh oh I haven't seen this yet um we'll watch the trailer okay yeah we'll watch the trailer i'm so excited okay we're going to watch The Life List and I said "Am I going to cry?" We might i don't know but I'm excited nonetheless hit it oh yeah oh I love that it's a New York movie though i'm excited hey guys i literally sw like not breathing sobbing i'm worried cat kept going "She's happy now she's happy." I'm like she's fine great it's Connie she's like it's Connie Britain like she's happy oh my god great movie it's on Netflix called The Lifeless it was like cute too we had giggles like it was We laughed we cried everything you need on a Friday night you know everything you need danielle's going to be puffy in the middle a little puffy from the tears good morning everybody i just finished doing some light makeup and I slept in my heatless sock curls last night which was amazing except the front pieces sometimes never curl great so I just used my tried and true dry bar wand and curled like these front pieces and then I curled the two my two like face framers and put them in these itty bitty rollers because I think it's going to rain a little bit later and like I bet it's humid out so I just want to protect the curls i'm headed to an event this morning with Kate Spade kate Spade and the Target are doing a collaboration and they've invited me in to create content and my best friend Morgan is coming to help me which is so nice on a Saturday morning like I'm so appreciative of her i love her i was like I will buy you dinner and we get to catch up and stuff and I think we're going to hang out tonight too so we're having a day yeah didn't really sleep in this morning because of that but I'm going to sleep in tomorrow that sounds really nice yeah so I'm going to get dressed so we're going to go and then we're going to come back and we're going to do like a instead of a Sunday reset we're going to do a Saturday reset i'm going to clean i'm going to unpack hopefully if I have the energy because we have some fun plans tonight thanks to Groupon we're going to New York Comedy Club which is one of my favorite spots ever and Groupon had this amazing deal like a bundle where you get four tickets which I'll explain more later but I'm so excited so that's that on that i want to show you guys my little dress this is from the Kate Spade Target collab you guys know I love a halter top and a little lippy liner and a little gloss i really hope it doesn't rain i'm just like not in the I mean when are you ever actually I have been in the mood for rain before like staying in or if you've been out at the beach all day and then you're inside you just showered and like a thunderstorm happened love that love that a little road lip this morning i just decided little road lippy for the road cute i feel like it doesn't look like I have mascara on but I totally do okay let's go all right we're at Sephora now sephora savings event let's get it doing some repurchases i need more of this mini money i love minis always minis obviously restocking this yeah that's what this is this is like Kellyanne's favorite i use it we're having too much fun you guys right now like it's Sephora sale and we were really close to Sephora me and Morgan were like "Let's go." Oh my gosh i didn't know that Urban Decay still has these this is like OG YouTube days like Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion sin remember it's like in the color sin or this is the original one oh my gosh I'm actually emotional right now this is crazy to see okay I feel like my vlog clips were just so confusing and chaotic morgan came she helped me take some videos i don't even know if I've said that my friend was coming to help me and then we were right near Sephora and she was like "I'm going to go to Sephora i'm grabbing some like restocks." And I was like "Oh Sam I was wanting to go cuz it's Sephora sale." And she didn't even realize the Sephora sale so we'll do a little haul most of these things I would say were repurchases including this we have the Color Wow Money Mist my dishwasher is gone he's so good okay fenty Beauty Invisimat the powder i literally have purchased so many of those of course Makeup Forever Wherever Walnut lip liner morgan got one too i influenced her summer Friday is just like the vanilla beige one or more of the Touchland hand sanitizer i got another one of these Sephora 93 Pro Blush Brush i love it it's just like an angled blush brush great for cream blush specifically I would say and then I got two minis i got more of the mini codly beauty elixir and then I didn't know that they had a mini money mist which is perfect it's basically like a leave-in it is It is a leave-in conditioner and then this is a repurchase i haven't used it in a while but I was wanting to try a new cream bronzer and I used to love this one for Makeup by Mario and then I finished it i got it in the color medium it's like a cream bronzer situation and it applies so nicely and it's not super intense which I love this is the only like new thing I guess I got obviously I love Necessary i use their eucalyptus body wash sometimes and then they came out though with any body lotion or any product that has a pump like I'm immediately down and this I thought would actually look good on my bathroom counter it's body lotion and it's the Santal scent and whenever I'm like headed out the door I'm like "Ooh like I need lotion on my legs or something." Like I want something with a pump so I saw this and it smelled amazing and obviously I love their products so that's my little Sephora savings event haul i am now going to take off this outfit i have my like trench on it was kind of cold out and we're going to clean cleaning montage begins now how did I get the After my little Saturday reset I decided to take myself on a little date this place is called Inter it was so cool it was on Groupon of course and I literally felt transported it was $29.99 for a oneperson ticket i needed this like I don't know what it was but it just kind of took me out of reality and I just focused on the sights and just everything it was such a sensorial experience and it literally brought me peace at the end there was this beautiful like meditation situation which my mom would be really proud but it was really nice i had a couple hours before dinner and hanging out with my friends i was like let me be crazy it was a rainy day felt nice to kind of go somewhere that was indoors it was just nice this is the little chamber I was telling you guys about the gongs were going it was like a 3minute meditation before you go back to reality um which I thought was really special so love group for that you could not even see the floor of my closet i don't know if you guys could tell in the montage so I finally tidied this all up tidied my bathroom have I unpacked no but the rest of my apartment is nice and tidy now i just unboxed some clothes over there so I need to put those away as well but that's kind of the lowdown i am going to touch up my makeup and touch up my hair and pick out an outfit for tonight because some friends and I are going to dinner in a show my favorite favorite favorite Saturday night activity so we're going to do that okay I'm getting dressed right now and we're going to dinner at this lovely restaurant called Dirty French in the Lower East Side it's so good meeting up with my friends Morgan and Caitlyn i'm so excited to catch up with them and then we're going to the New York Comedy Club so comedy club's pretty cash but dirty French is kind of fancy but it's like kind of rainy i just want to be comfortable so I've just got on this black long sleeve Skim top it's literally April and it's 48° outside i'm just Every day is a little different here but it's okay i just got these jeans from Still Here New York i was influenced by Brett's Bites Brett Chody we had her on the podcast i love it cuz there's like no waistband essentially like there's no it's very like you can wear it lowrise but then it has this elastic to kind of secure and I just like where it hits i like everything about it now I'm wearing this because I kind of want my jacket to be the moment like this kind of dresses it up but it's also so comfortable this is like a Frankie shop dupe jacket but it's from Abberroi i've been eyeing this so much online like this specific color it's like this chocolatey brown taupey color i've been seeing people just wear jackets like this zipped up except the fur is getting stuck i probably shouldn't wear this on a day that it's raining but I'm going to bring an umbrella and I think it's so chic zipped up and then you don't even have to worry about whatever you're wearing underneath i think it's cute and then I'm just going to wear like black pointed toe boots i think though with these jeans we got to keep it open we do i feel like you need to kind of show a little skin a little tummy i think this is it because then if you're cold in the comedy shows they usually get a little chilly i think it's cute my hair honestly fell pretty nicely i kind of like this just like natural wave look i'll throw some texture spray but I'm just going to quickly update the curls here in the front yeah I use a wand i can't with the clamps i just can't I want to be the girl that uses the clamp but I just can't figure it out so I just curl it down and pull it a little bit if that makes sense i'll do this piece too just while I'm here feel like it gives that nice beachy wave rather than like voluminous which is also really fun but I'm just kind of wanting like an effortless looking beachwave might as well do this front piece as well so like I literally hold the barrel down directly down so it doesn't go back it just goes down okay do this piece too sweet okay and then I've got Color Wow texturizing spray i love this stuff adds a little something something i probably should do hairspray as well just because it's like rainy humid or a hairspray sweet okay I added some eye shadow and a little liner and just tried some of the new products I got today obviously and threw on some black booties i'm going to use this bag literally from Amazon tonight because it's big and it can fit an umbrella and I don't want to be umbrella umbrella umbrella umbrellaless so I think I have a new hack i feel like living in New York there are so many things to do so many options of places to go that when presented like a free afternoon or a nice Saturday or a Saturday night I have no idea what to do i'm like actually overwhelmed at the amount of things that there are to do that is where Groupon comes in groupon has now become where I go to figure out what to do that day because there's so many different deals you've learned about new places that you might have not thought about yes I've been to New York Comedy Club but I love it so much and I was able to get this amazing discount i got four general admission tickets to New York Comedy Club tonight for $59 instead of $116 that's literally 40% off so I was like "Friends tickets are on me tonight we're going to have a night." It was just so nice because I had a free weekend this weekend my friends were like "Tell are you in town this week?" I was like "Yes let's hang out." So then I went on to Groupon and I was looking at the activities and New York Comedy Club popped up that discount boom boom so we're so excited one of them's been before the other one hasn't and she's so excited so I've got the tickets on my phone i just show the voucher when I get there and they apply it boom done so I absolutely love Groupon for that it's seriously my new place to go if I'm trying to find something to do so yeah here's the final fit the the bag may be a lot with the jacket but also it's New York City and I do love I do love New York for that so we're going to head out i'm getting hungry i'm very excited for dinner i'm so excited so we're totally almost in the front row we're second row are you ready to be made fun of yes sir you excited yes now we're going to go out just to like one bar why not why not it's Saturday pack in girls it's Saturday night we got cute outfits on we got to hit the town good morning guys honestly it's not a good morning i'm not even going to say good morning because it's not a good morning i woke up I don't know if you guys can hear it to the sound of construction right outside my apartment like jackhammer central like oh my god on a Sunday morning like that's just rude anyways that's just living in New York and that sounds of the city last night was so fun and then we came I came back and I was feeling a little crampy and my back was hurting a little too and I was like I'll just go to bed and feel better in the morning usually that's what happens woke up this morning and I'm still feeling crampy which sucks and then I looked at my flow app and I am supposed to start my period in one day so I guess that's why it's just the most uncomfortable feeling ever and Cassidy texted me this morning and was like "Do you want to go for a walk?" And I was like "Actually that's the last thing I want to do right now." And she and I told her cuz I was cramping and she facetimed me and she was like "I hate to tell you this but one of the best things to do when you're cramping is go for a walk it feels counterintuitive but it just gets things moving whatever and I do know that i do know that to be true but the thought of like doing that is really tough for me right now she's just like the best and she was like "No I'm going to walk over i'm going to get a coffee so that'll give you a little time and we're going to go for a little walk okay just like a little walk along Westside Highway let's just get you moving." And like she doesn't have to do that but she is and that's really nice and it means a lot to me because that's the one thing about living alone sometimes is no one's here to like push you to get up or to take care of you you know I feel very grateful for our friendship but that also means the clock is ticking and she when she she's going to tell me when she's on her way to get coffee and that's my countdown that I have to get up and put on an outfit but I'm eating a little toast so that I can take some Advil i had like a couple drinks last night but I don't think that's what's going wrong i think it's that time of the month rock on i just got this set from Monday which is Monday Swimwear's like activewear brand and it's I mean you guys know how much I love brown right now but this tank top I love how it fits i'm listening to Odza washed my face did some skin care feeling a little better i hate to admit that Cass was right i needed to get up and now I'm going to meet her and everything's going to be better so now we've walked to Cassid's house we're just apartment hopping probably end up at mine again later no I'm kidding and she was like "Wait come over i'm going to make muffins and you can watch and help." I helped a little with the mashing but like honestly she did the dirty work but So these are banana chocolate chip muffins mhm it's very exciting divine divine guys cass and I have reached this point in our friendship where I'm laying on her floor and she's cooking um and I'm being so unhelpful but it's fun sometimes it's just nice to have silent friendship time where it's like where neither of us are alone but we're together i'm back from Cassid's now we were just having such a random day this Sunday and she was baking the muffins and realized she needed baking soda so I just went to the grocery store with her and I was like I'll pick up a couple things so they sell Eat Clean Bro at Gourmet Garage in West Village i was thrilled so I got two meals i was craving melon so I've already dug into it i got cantaloupe and watermelon cuz it's as it gets warmer outside not that it's literally warm out at all today i feel like the fruit or the melon is better like watermelon and peak summer is so good i got more carrots sourdough bread and eggs so random but this is my little grocery haul ryan's on his way over he was on a bachelor trip like I keep saying this weekend so I'm excited we're going to have a fun little evening as I've been saying I went on to Groupon and I was just looking for things to do and we're going to go bowling tonight i'm so excited they literally have this amazing deal i'm on my computer on Groupon right now $36 for two people to bowl and you get free shoot rental like that's incredible it says it's normally $103 total so 65% off we love that so we're going to do that tonight i'm so excited we went bowling over the holidays and I forgot how much I love it and it's so fun and it's just like a cute little date night we're going to go to Lucky Strike Bowling at Chelsea Piers so I just got that voucher on Groupon so I can show it to them when we get there my meatballs are done ryan will be here soon and then we're going to come back and watch White Lotus okay Ryan's here and we're walking to Chelsea Piers and we're going to go to Lucky Strike we've walked past it a ton so I'm excited to check it out hey hey hey i'm catching up to Ryan whoa oh my god another strike you're kidding three strikes three in a row three in a row game over congrats winner congrats next game next game okay guys bowling is done and we just went to CVS got some cookie dough some ice cream we are ready for White Lotus we are back now and going to make some cookies i also got these these are like gluten-free and they're also really good but Ryan and I decided tonight we're going to do Nestle House so preheating the oven it is 9:01 it is time for White Lotus i'm so excited guys we just finished White Lotus that was insane i literally posted on my story i was like "Please DM me we need to chat."
