Aiglon & Manchester City Football Club, Partnership

In 2023, Eglon College proudly partnered with Manchester City Football Club. This collaboration has since flourished, offering our students unparalleled opportunities to develop both as individuals and as footballers. Beyond technical skills, the program emphasises personal growth, leadership, teamwork and resilience. Students are trained by a full-time Manchester City Football Club coach here at Eglon The partnership has facilitated trips to Manchester, New York City and Abu Dhabi, where students trained at the City Football Academy, toured the Etihad Stadium and attended Premier League matches. The campus had the privilege of welcoming the Premier League, Club World Cup and Community Shield trophies. This was a historic moment for the school and an inspiring experience. These experiences provide insights into professional football environments and the array of careers within the sport. I decided to join the Man City program because Man City is a really good team that I like and I love football and I want to learn their techniques. The collaboration has enriched the Eglon community with visits from football legends who shared their invaluable life lessons and inspired our students. Our unique football program, Kick Off, here at Eglon Summer School provides students aged 10 to 16 years old an opportunity to experience the team's playing philosophy and methodology in the alpine setting of our campus. This partnership teaches Eglonians to dream big and helps them see that nothing is impossible.
