Korat 🇹🇭 vs. Queensland Pirates 🇦🇺 - AVC Champions League 2025 | Highlights - Pool Play

Big experience, a big thing for the top two teams. The Pirates getting it started. It's a service error. Atmosphere here, the weather, the climate, everything. Smith being activated there in a big way. I was looking at her during hitting practice during warm-ups and she has that. Formidable lineup for Nakon Ratchasima. Straight to the libero, varying the attacking of the block. Just a setup here for the Pirates, unable to do so. Mixing it up from the back row. Ava, not the best reception from that service. It's a free ball here for Nakon Ratchasima. Take full advantage. And Ram Waruni. Great setting on the part of Nakon Ratchasima. Holly Mallet, you know, again, but it really stems from good passing. It is imperative in their game that they pass. Execution there from the Pirates. Keep it alive. Right down the middle. Three's really doing a tremendous job here in the first set at least. So difficult for the Pirates to anticipate who's going to be the weapon used. Keeping it alive for the Pirates. Chantava, back row. Kept alive. It's a free ball. Straight back. They're gonna have to improvise here. It's Smith. Nice little combination there. She enjoyed that one. Touched the line. It's a service ace. Obviously, they're in this tournament also to get or to gain more experience moving forward. Average age of just 22. Yeah, for the Aussies. Readjust on the floor there to keep it alive. Running hit. Well anticipated at the net. And Chantava finding the corner. That'll do it. Yielding in a really formidable roster. And they went to work quickly. Certainly flexed their muscles here early on. Dominantly dispatched in this. Level certainly didn't drop while she was off the floor. Shows the depth that they have in their squad as well. A great start here. Little pinball action. A lot of coaches will say count. Tight game. Hit off the net there. And that's a lovely block. It's the first kill block of the game. That could be huge. That was Scarlett Rudder. Again, we see. Extremely important confidence builder for the Australians. Good dig. Scrambling over was White. It's a free ball now. Right down the middle. Straight back. Smith. Huge hole there on the corner. Yeah, we saw the defensive formation of Queensland Pirates. Nobody in zone one. And in between zone six. So Lily brought in as a service specialist. Just one player in the background. They managed to find it. But in the end, Shantava using that height to good use. And he will pose the question. How many chances are you going to give Nakon Ratchasima? Two-point game. Sanohevich for the service. Smith towering over everyone. Puts it away. She just, she's just so unlucky. He has the hang time, right? That's a deadly combination. A girl named Anuma came in and started serving the lights off. Powerful double block. And managed to keep that in play. Has been the real positive in this second set before the Pirates. The presence at the net has improved dramatically. If I'm not mistaken, that's the third. Both of the blockers and they're successful. Down the middle. Smith needed to stop the bleeding. What you have to realize with Anuma turning 39, that actually pulls up the average age of the squad. And you can stay aggressive there at the net. Sipaborjo again found a way through. This time, the ties have a response. And Marley tucking that one away. Significantly here. And it's a service ace for Sassipapron. Ponglai is gonna stay as the center. The two linking up immediately there to get things started. This time, not the best first pass. It's very rare that we've said that for the ties. Did it take a touch? No, it did not. So was there a touch? Yes, there was. Stanohevich was correct. Forced to scramble. It's gonna be a free ball. Ponglai. Wonderful execution. Nice running hit from Kate Kalaya. Speaking of, one more from Rudder. I think they're blocked tally. After... It seems the Pirates have figured out how to nullify her a little bit. Yeah. Fantastically disguised by White. You can feel the confidence right now from the Queensland Pirates. Kamultala at the service line. There's great movement from the Pirates, but Ava knew exactly where it was. Chantava appreciating that set. Well anticipated. Chantava with another kill block. Set it at the target once more. That's a good dig. Right down the middle. Both ends. Attack and defense. She's been very effective. Tiga Korn, Bun Lerd. Celebrate those blocks more than anyone. Reception from Ellie Denzey. Stanohevich has been a go-to. Volleyball simplified. And Nayakpacha coming on at match point. Almost a service ace. Really utilizing the full squad here. The ties. And that is out. And that'll do it. Well spotted. And that is the game. Thank you.
