Incredible scenes as fans gather outside Elland Road to celebrate Leeds promotion 🤩

Yeah, the celebrations here have been incredible tonight. Don't forget the last time that Leeds were promoted into the Premier League, it was during COVID. The players weren't able to celebrate with the fans properly, but they're certainly doing that tonight. You can see if I just step out of shot, some of the fans that have congregated outside at Elland Road alongside the players. Daniel Farker told us earlier that he will give the players permission to celebrate properly tonight, and he's certainly doing just that. The players enjoying themselves. They've still, of course, got two games to go, but promotion is secured. And after a long season in the championship, the demands of the championship, it is relentless. And that's the word that probably best describes Leeds United this season. They have been relentless. A record-breaking total of 94 points for the club this season. Daniel Farker with his third promotion from the championship. And these scenes have been incredible. Since the Burnley Sheffield United game finished, wild celebrations. The fans outside Elland Road enjoying the evening. And I'm sure these celebrations will go on long into the evening. Something special, something to savour for these Leeds United fans and for the players as well. Richly deserved. After a season that I think these Leeds fans will never, ever forget. Wow. Like you said, Tim, they have been relentless and it's a record points total for a single season as well. 94 points. They've still got a couple more games to play. How impressive do you feel their season's been? It's been incredible. When you look at the home form this season, Leeds have got 94 points. They've scored 89 goals, which is a remarkable achievement. Six of those have come today. So when the pressure was on today, when Leeds needed to produce a really special performance, they were three up inside 20 minutes. And I think that just tells you a lot about the character of this team. And also, this is a Leeds United side that were beaten in the playoff final last season. Quite often when a side loses in the playoff final, there's a hangover the next season. But that's not the case for Leeds United. These players have been phenomenal this season. And they're back in the Premier League when Marcelo Bielsa took Leeds up. That was after a 16-year absence. Leeds had their period in the Premier League before relegation a couple of seasons ago. But this club is ready to go back into the top league, ready to make an impact. And the players, the fans, everybody associated with the club are enjoying the celebrations tonight because this is a very special night for Leeds, a very special night for the players and a very, very special night for the fans. You can see just how much it means to those fans. We're just drinking up these pictures, Tim, because that is incredible support for a club, isn't it? Around Leeds United. But I just, I wonder now, yes, they're going to celebrate, but are they going to be thinking about going up to the Premier League as championship champions? Yeah, absolutely. Daniel Parker spoke about it at his press conference after the game. Yes, they want to win the title. He knows how to do that. He's achieved it before with Norwich City, but he also made it pretty clear that it's important that the players enjoy these moments because they've worked all year for nights like tonight. They've worked all season. So the manager, I think, is quite happy for them to have a night off tonight to relax, to enjoy the celebrations. But when they're back in ahead of the next game, it will be focused very much on picking up back-to-back wins and trying to win the title. But these are nights to savour for players, for fans. It was a wonderful atmosphere inside Ellen Rowe today. It really did crank up a notch or two before kickoff. And that, I think, helped the players to produce one of their best performances of the season. And at the start of the day, nobody quite knew what to expect. But this is the outcome that all Leeds fans wanted. Leeds United are back in the Premier League.
