I think that relentless motivation that I seem to be able to find is from just pushing the
progression of the sport and I think that's what it's always been about for me, from racing to
opening the bike park and now with starting Atherton Bikes it's just all about pushing that
progression and you just feed off the people that are around you and we've got such a good crew here
you know at the bike park dig in and on the bike company and everyone's just constantly pushing
and it motivates me to like get up early and just always be on it. I think for a long time I've had
the bike park in the back of my mind but it's never been the right time or it's never been
the right place and it was really really hard to find the right place. Dovey was an area that
we'd always come to ride but when we were racing it was a long way from airports and
as I kind of finished racing it suddenly became a bit more of a possibility and moving here and
starting the bike park and doing all the film projects that we do here is you know the locals
have just been so kind of on board with it. That's been so inspiring to have people that are fresh
and like up for it and like no kind of job is like too big everyone's always like so up for it.
So the boys are just doing like a final prep top to bottom before we open the bike park back up
for summer. I feel like so privileged to have found riding and particularly mountain biking
when we were so young. I've always felt like it's right there was never like any questions there it
was always exactly what I wanted to do and like it's so motivating to feel like that and I feel
so so so lucky to to have found it you know it's been it's been my life and it's been our lives
and to have that and to have that direction and that passion is it's just such an amazing thing
to find in life.
