Okay guys, so for today's video I'm really excited because I'm going to be sharing with you a few ideas that you can make for gifts as a Mother's Day gift or you can do it for any other occasion for someone special to you or you can do it for yourself. This year is a little bit different, we're stuck at home so I really want to share with you ideas that you can make by yourself and that are going to end up looking amazing and beautiful and with a very high end looking. Okay guys for the first project I will be using this one inch by four inch by eight feet long wooden board that I get from Home Depot. A long time ago I have it at home and it cost me less than two dollars and you can do several projects with this wooden board. So for the first project I'm going to cut three pieces of seven inches long of this wooden board and I'm going to be using my saw machine to cut this board and the one that I'm using you can find it at my Amazon favorites link in the description box. Before painting the wood it's always good to use a sandpaper or a sanding machine to make sure that the surface and the edges are smooth and I'm going to use my sanding machine. This one is not extensive at all and it works perfectly in projects so in the description box you can also get the links of where you can get this type of sanding machine. To paint the wood I'm going to use this wood stain in espresso color and to apply this stain I'm going to use a piece of cloth and I'm going to apply the stain in my three pieces of wood and once you finish you must let the wood dry extremely well maybe in the sun for several hours. Once the wood is dry I will glue the three pieces of wood together using wood glue and I will place it on the edges of the wooden board and glue the three pieces together to form a sign and this one is going to be 11 inches wide. Once the glue is really dry you can start working on your project and I'm going to put a decal that I made with my Cricut and if you don't have a Cricut it's okay you can use stickers or you can write it by hand with paint or markers you have many options and I wrote on the top in these moments time stood still and I used one board to put the information of the birth of each child that the person that you are giving this gift has or of your children if you are doing it for yourself. I put the name on the top and then I put a clock with the time it was born and how much it weighed and on the bottom I put the day that the child was born. Guys like I said I used one board for each of the children but it depends on the number of the children that the person has hanger on the back side of the sign just in case the person wants to put this sign on the wall and that's it this is going to be the result of the first project this DIY it's super easy to do you can be very creative doing this project and guys Pinterest has many ideas that you can also be inspired by. Okay now this project is another idea that I saw on Pinterest and in this case this mom has only one son so I'm going to use only one wooden board and I'm going to cut it seven inches long and I'm going to be doing the same thing I'm going to be sanding all the wood piece and then I'm going to use the same stain in espresso color that I used in the first project and let the wood dry very well and then I put a transfer paper on it and I stick it on my sign but remember that if you don't have a Cricut you have many other options that you can do to make this project. I made this decal a little bit different because I put an icon to represent everything a calendar for the day that the child born, a clock for the hour, one scale for the weight, a ruler for the measurements and a location icon for the country where he was born. You can put a tooth hanger on the back side of the sign to hang it on the wall or you can maybe add some beads on the top of the sign or you can put a piece of ribbon if you want or something that you have at home that you think is going to look nice on your gift and guys this will be the result of another great and beautiful and special gift that you can make from your home. Guys I want to quickly show you this DIY that I made last year for Mother's Day for myself using things from Dollar Tree and without a Cricut. I made a sign and for the time of the birth I made a small clock. I also made a small sign that said the name of each of my children and and lastly I made a black and white photo of the day they arrived in the world and made me the happiest woman in the world.
