Gregory Scott has been working as a professional astrologer for more than 10 years. He has a triple earth placement in his natal chart and gives concrete guidance in his personal readings. What does your birth chart reveal about you?
Hi Capricorn and welcome to your horoscope for May 2025. Thanks for joining me. It's a pleasure
to be with you today. My horoscopes are based on the UK time zone and please watch them in this
order for your rising sign first, then your sun sign and then finally your moon sign. So I'm going
to be watching this for my moon sign because my moon is in Capricorn. I'm going to break May down
into four weeks. I'm going to pay particular attention to what the moon is doing, how it
moves through the houses of your chart and in what areas of life it supports you and when.
So week one or the first four days of the month really, Thursday the 1st until Sunday the 4th of
May. On the 1st of May we have the moon in Gemini and it's in your six house of daily routine,
your physical health, the structures of your life and work. So the moon in Gemini is about
problem solving, it's about communication and Jupiter is good luck and growth and good fortune.
So any work presentations that need doing, the first of the month is great for that.
Any changes you want to make to your routine, if you feel inspired to make any changes,
go with those. They're not going to let you down and making changes to the way you eat,
your nutrition, your physical health as well, that's going to have a positive effect.
Now on the 1st of May we have a Celtic festival called Beltane and it means we're halfway between
the spring equinox and the summer solstice and it reminded me of a Persian fire festival and
excuse my pronunciation, I have zero Farsi, Chaharshanbe Suri. It happened on the 18th of
March this year and it's the day before Nowruz, the Persian new year and it's this wonderful
ceremony where people are prompted to jump over a fire. So what I love about it is that it works
on so many levels. First of all the fire jumper has to gather all their courage and their strength
to actually jump over this fire and what it does is because it's the day before the new year,
you're jumping into the new year full force, you're saying whatever happens in this coming
year, I'm here for it, I'm embracing it, I'm completely showing up for it, which in my
experience the universe rewards people who commit and who take risks and also by jumping over the
fire, the flames cleanse away any negativity and detox things from the past. So that's what I'd
like you to think of May here as a beginning of a whole new year. It's a wonderful month that's
about building things. For the first 20 days of the month, we have the moon in Taurus and
Taurus is a fixed earth sign that's about creating things, actual tangible objects,
things that you can build, money, security, work, structures, your physical health, your physical
body. So on the 2nd and 3rd of May then we have the moon moving into Cancer and it moves into
your 7,000 relationships next to Hades in Cancer and it's interesting because the moon in Cancer
is very sensitive. The moon rules Cancer so it's happy in that placement but Hades is the thing
that you really don't want to look at. So the 2nd and 3rd are an opportunity for you Capricorn
to fix any relationships that are problematic for you at the moment. Maybe you're estranged from a
family member, maybe you had an argument. Even if you don't want to look at it, you know that it's
in your best interest to fix this. The 2nd and 3rd is the best to kind of jump over your own shadow,
to swallow your pride and to say let's just get this fixed. Then the 4th of May we've got the
moon going into Leo and it joins Mars, the planet of masculinity and drive and your transiting
ascendant. They're both in Leo in your 8th house and the 8th house is institutions, authorities
and this is a great day. It extends into the next week as well. The moon stays in Leo in that 8th
house on the 5th of May as well. It's a great time to present yourself to any institutions. So
to get your foot in the door, if you want to get your manuscript looked at and published, if you
want to go for a job interview, if you want to do a public presentation, if you want to launch your
podcast, if you want to launch your YouTube channel, anything like that. It's also a good time
for negotiations, any legal issues, anything to do with the government, with the tax people,
for you to show up in a way that's confident and for you to get an outcome that you're happy with.
On the 4th as well, Pluto, the planet of transformation and change, death and rebirth.
It retrogrades until the 13th of October and when the outer planets retrograde, the energy is
expressed inwardly and Pluto retrogrades in your second house of money and what you'll notice is
Pluto and Aquarius is about new ideas coming to life and between the 4th of May and the 13th of
October, you'll start to get new ideas of how you can create an income, maybe an extra income.
If you're retired, how you could create a side gig or an income other than your pension. It's about
ideas that lead to you having more financial security and prosperity and having a bit of
extra that you can use to spend on whatever it is you want. What's also very, very interesting
and great about May is that we have all the personal planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars,
they're direct all month. So Mercury is communication and transportation. Expect
very few issues with that. Venus is the planet of love and beauty and creativity and what you give
life to. That's in Aries in your fourth house. So now's the time to start the new business,
to start the new relationship and Mars is ambition and drive and that's in your eighth.
Now it's time for you to make the presentation, to present yourself, to stand your ground and to
get what you want and to engage in conflict if you feel you've been treated unfairly.
So in the first four days of May, the moon starts on the first in Gemini in your sixth house
and it ends up on the fourth in your eighth house. So that's the right hand side of your chart. It's
about the descendant. So the first four days are about acquiring what you're looking for,
what you don't have in your life just yet, whether that's relationship or that's better health or
a settlement that you're happy with. The first four days are really about asserting yourself
and getting what it is you want. Week two, Monday to Sunday, the fifth to the 11th of
May, the moon is still in Leo on the fifth, which I mentioned. Then on the sixth and seventh and
eighth, the moon goes into Virgo and it goes into your ninth house of education, travel in the
realms. And what's also in that ninth house is your south node. If I'm looking at your natal
charts in a personal reading, your south node and your north node, they show me where you're
coming from on a spiritual level and the direction you're moving into. So what your life purpose is,
what you're trying to accomplish, right? And here on the sixth, seventh and eighth, Virgo allows you
to travel to places that you're familiar with and to recharge. It allows you to learn things
that you may have forgotten and to brush up on knowledge that's necessary now that would be
useful. It's also a great opportunity to get a message from the higher realms that either confirm
or that give you an answer to some sort of a question that you've had.
On the sixth and seventh, we've got the Ita Aquarids meteor shower, which is best viewed in
the southern hemisphere. I'm a Western astrologer, so my astrology is based on the seasons and it's
based on the northern hemisphere. So whether you're watching this in the northern or southern
hemisphere, the energy is the same. But these meteor showers, you'll be able to see them in
the southern hemisphere in the actual sky much better. And they stem from the constellation
of Aquarius. So it's an opportunity to see beyond the detail of your life and to discover things
that are designed for the betterment of humanity that will serve everyone in some way. And what I
think would be a good idea, and I mentioned this to all the signs, instead of making a wish for
yourself, make a wish for someone you know, like, instead of saying, Oh, I hope I meet the love of
my life this month, make a wish and say, I hope the the my Amazon delivery guy, I hope he finds
all the happiness in the world or the person I met at the gym, I hope they reach their training goals.
Make a wish for someone else, what you put out, you get back. And I think with this
meteor shower, magical things will happen when we make wishes on behalf of other people.
On the ninth and 10th, the moon goes into Libra and it goes into your 10th house of work.
So this is a great two day period to connect with your work that you're already doing to connect
with the people you're working with to problem solve. Libra is a bridge with a bump in it. So
to overcome obstacles in your work, and to solve problems that have been unresolved before.
On the 10th of May, particularly, we have Mercury that ingresses into Taurus, and it moves out of
your fourth house in Aries, and it moves into your fifth house of what you love to do, and who
you love. And Mercury is the communication planet in Taurus, it thinks in a very earthy type of a
way. And again, it will help you to get clear on this is the work that I do. Do I love this work
or not? Is this something I want to continue or not? And if the answer is yes, I'm in the perfect
job. That's going to be amazing, because it will allow you to commit to it even more and to throw
yourself into it completely. But if it's not right, then you'll have the opportunity to say,
well, what are my other options? What can I change here? On the 11th, the moon moves into Scorpio,
and it goes into your 11th house of hopes and dreams. And it stays there on the 12th and 13th
as well moving into week three. And this is kind of complicated because the moon in Scorpio is very
sensitive. And it's very able to see beyond the surface of things and to get to the root cause
of things. And Black Moon Lilith is sitting in there that represents in your natal chart
that represents the part of the chart where your shadow self tries to hold you back.
Vesta represents the home and Juno represents endless summer, something that would make you
incredibly happy. So with the moon hanging out over there in your 11th for this three day period,
what you're going to be able to discover is what is it that you're afraid of pursuing when it comes
to doing work that you love? And what is it that you're afraid of when it comes to pursuing who you
love, which are difficult kind of topics, you know, like, for instance, if I want to work as
an engineer, I may be afraid that I'm just not mathematically skilled enough and that I will fail.
And then I'll make a fool of myself and all that money invested into the studies will be wasted.
And I'll be embarrassed in front of my family. Or if I want a particular type of relationship,
I may be afraid of approaching that person because I don't feel good enough or I don't feel like I'm
in good shape enough or I don't feel like my circumstances put me in a position where I seem
like I'm someone who's desirable. So these three days aren't going to be the easiest for you.
But it will show you where you're holding yourself back. And when you do the opposite of what Black
Moon Lilith tells you, or scares you off from when you push through the fear, and you do it anyway,
that's when you succeed. So if you are interested in a particular person, or in a particular type
of person, pursue that person, talk to them, say hello. If you're thinking of working in a particular
field, but you're scared that you'll fail, try it. It's better to try something and to fail
than to have never tried at all. And don't let fear govern your life. And the second week here,
this three day period is an opportunity for you to beat fear into the ground and to say,
there you go, I have mastered you, I'm not going to let you run my life. So in week two, from
let's see from the fifth of May, the moon was in your eighth house, and it ends up on the 11th
in your 11th house. So that's the very top half of your chart. And that is really your work,
and your hopes and dreams and what you know, and the organizations and the groups you belong to.
So what is it that in any of those areas where you're holding yourself back, and where you can
jump over your own shadow, and you can say, actually, I'm not going to be afraid.
This is something I've dreamt about, I'm going to make a go, I'm going to see if this will work
out for me, and see where I end up. And it's very likely that you succeed. Black Moon Lilith
is very telling, because whenever it sabotages you like this, it's an indicator that when you
do the opposite, you're getting warmer, and you're likely to succeed. Week three, Monday to Sunday,
the 12th until the 18th of May, moon still in Scorpio on the 12th and 13th. Then, especially
on the 12th of May, we have a full moon in Scorpio. So the moon reaches its climax point during its
28 day cycle, it's going to be fully illuminated and it lets go of all of its energy, it showers
you with Scorpio energy. So that's the day where you will be clearest on this is my fear, this is
what's holding me back, let me do the opposite. On the 14th and 15th, the moon moves into Sagittarius
and it goes into your 12th house of spirituality and spiritual strength. The moon in Sagittarius
is an adventurer, it's an explorer, it likes to have new experiences. So if you're a Capricorn
who's never been interested in spirituality, or maybe it's been one of your fears, what if I try
and meditate and there's nothing there? Or if you've just never, it's never showed up on your
radar. The 14th and 15th are a great time for you to explore the spiritual side of things,
and for you to discover something that brings you great joy, and that provides you with a sense of
confidence and power. Then on the 16th, 17th and 18th, the moon goes into your sign of Capricorn,
and it goes into your first house of self. So these three days are great for you to get any
work done, but also to make plans to work on realizing those things that you've been afraid
of in the past, where you haven't put yourself out there enough, and to overcome those blocks,
and to put them in the past. So I know that a lot is being asked of you here, and it sounds
kind of frightening, but Capricorn, we all have fears in life, right? And if we let our fears
prevent us from doing what we really, really want, our lives are going to look very small.
And that's what the shadow self wants. It wants us to be isolated and unhappy,
so that we resort to behaviors which are even worse, and then it becomes a downward slope.
Now the houses the moon has covered in week three, on the 12th, it started in your
11th, and then on the 18th, it ended up in your first house. So that's houses 11, 12 and 1.
That's the very left-hand side of your chart, and that's very much about your ascendant. It's
much about who you really are. So spirituality, getting real on your hopes and dreams,
doing the work. That's what week three is all about, and it enables you to make a ton of progress
towards getting to where you want to be. Now week four, this isn't really a week. This is
13 days, I think. It's Monday to Saturday, the 19th to the 31st of May. So it's pretty much the
second half of the month. On the 19th and 20th, the moon is in Aquarius, and it's in your second
house of money next to Pluto in Pallas. This is a great two-day period to make financial decisions.
And on the 20th of May as well, the sun enters Gemini, and it goes into your sixth house of work.
So these two days are great to look at your investments, your securities, your finances,
but also the work that you're doing, and whether there is a way to renegotiate your contract so
that you're getting more out of the work that you're already doing, or to even look at other
options when it comes to your work and working differently. If you're a student, it may be an
opportunity to look at, hey, is my major still right for me? If you're retired, it may be,
you know, I'm working towards something. Maybe I've lost interest in that. Maybe I want to work
towards something else. So it's about getting back on track as far as your interests are concerned.
Then on the 21st and 22nd, the moon goes into Pisces, and it goes into your third house of
communication next to your North Node and Saturn. Now, Saturn is structure and security.
If I'm looking at your natal chart, the North Node shows me what you're trying to accomplish
in your life, like your life purpose. And here in this chart for May, with the North Node being at
24 degrees in Pisces in your third, the point of the 21st and the 22nd is for you to have some
sort of spiritual connection or experience. So the message I'm getting is that the universe wants to
get through to you somehow. It wants to encourage you to face something that you've been avoiding
and to succeed as a result of you showing up and facing the music head on. And it wants to support
you in that so you're not on your own. On the 23rd, 24th, the moon goes into Aries, and it goes
into your fourth house of family. It sits next to Neptune, Venus, and Chiron. They're also in Aries.
Now, Neptune is the planet of hopes and dreams. It's been in Pisces for the last 14 years.
It's gone into Aries on the 30th of March, and it's time to realise your hopes and dreams.
Now, the message I'm getting for you, Capricorn, is that if you have had certain things occur to you
that you're like, hey, this is something that I have always been interested in, but I've dodged
for whatever reasons, and I'm now going to pursue this, and you start telling family members about it,
some of them may not be able to share your vision, and there may be conflict. So I would suggest that
if you've got plans for the future, don't share them with family members on the 23rd and 24th,
because a lot of them will try and bring you down or will try and encourage you
to keep things exactly the same because they don't want to worry about you, which is code for them
not wanting to have to think about you too much, for you to just be on track and fine so that they
can get on with their own life and not have to worry about you or think about you. Keep things
to yourself if you want to avoid conflict. On the 24th, Saturn also enters Aries, and it goes into
Aries until September, and it joins that fourth house. So Saturn is structure and security.
These outer planets like Neptune and Saturn, they change signs very rarely, right? So Saturn is
dipping its toe into Aries here until September. It again goes into your fourth house of your roots,
your family, and next to Neptune for the next, what, four months, it's going to encourage you
to pursue things that you haven't pursued in the past in order to build more security and structure
and a greater sense of self-worth for yourself. It's not about talking, it's about doing,
and it's about jumping into action. On the 25th and 26th, the Moon goes into Taurus,
and it goes into your fifth house of what you love to do and also love who you love, romance,
relationships. We've got Uranus in there, and we've got Mercury in there. So if you're single
and you don't want to be single, these two days, the 25th and the 26th, are the best two days to
approach the person you're interested in to make that connection and to have a happy outcome.
On the 25th of May, we have Mercury ingressing into Gemini, and Mercury goes into your sixth
house of work. It joins the transiting Midheaven, the transiting Sun, and the transiting Jupiter,
the lucky planet, all in Gemini. So from the 25th of May until the end of the month,
expect something really positive to happen in your working life. Good news, some sort of
unexpected surprise, something positive happens in your daily routine, your working life,
or the structure of your life. Maybe some pressure is taken off, maybe something positive comes in
that inspires you. Then we have the Moon joining all of that energy in the sixth house. The Moon
goes into Gemini on the 27th, the 28th. And on the 27th, we have a new Moon in Gemini. So that's
when the Moon goes pitch black, pulls a ton of energy in in order to start its next 28-day cycle.
And again, that happens in your sixth house of daily routine and work and structure.
So Gemini is an air sign that's ruled by Mercury, the communication planet. Mercury is in Gemini,
in that sixth house. So expect a problem in your life, something that has shown up in your daily
routine to go poof, to disappear, and for you to celebrate that and for your life to look a lot
easier and to have less obligation and duty in your life. Then on the 29th and 30th, the Moon
moves on into Cancer. And again, as before, beginning of the month on the second and third,
it's an opportunity to make nice with someone you've had conflict with and to resolve those
kind of issues, even if you don't necessarily want to. The key, you know, you've got options,
you can either leave that as it is and say, you know what, I want to have conflict, I don't want
to make up, it's not up to me, I don't care. But the key thing is you have so many positive
things happening here. You have the ability to overcome your own hopes, your own fears that keep
you from your hopes and dreams. So solving conflict and getting rid of difficult relationships by
simply reaching out, it's just another way to make the landscape of your life in May look much
more pleasant and positive than if you don't take the action. So I'll leave that up to you here on
the 29th and 30th. But if there is an issue with another person, and you want to resolve that issue,
they're going to be open and willing to work through it with you. I think that's a better
way of saying it. Then finally, on the 31st of May, we have the moon going into Leo,
and it joins Mars again in your eighth house of institutions. So this is another great day for you
to present yourself for you to get your foot in the door to go for job interviews. But on the 23rd,
on excuse me, on the 31st of May, we also have Venus, the planet of love and beauty and creativity,
which is in Aries in your fourth house, that's going to be at its greatest Western elongation.
So it's going to be easy to see Venus in the sky in the east just before sunrise. And with
Mars in a fire sign in Leo in your eighth, and Venus in a fire sign in Aries in your fourth.
It's really when you put the male and the female together, usually you get some new beginning.
And the 31st is a day to take a risk to put yourself out there to again, overcome your own
fears. And you'll get a really wonderful outcome on the 31st, where something takes life. So
the the investment is that they say yes, we'll give you the money or yes, we'll publish your
book or yes, we will hire you or yes, we will patent your invention, whatever it may be.
So take the greatest risk at the end of the month, you'll have the best outcome.
And have something to celebrate at the end of the month. So I hope that gives you an idea of
what you'll be working with here in May. I hope you have a fabulous time. If you would like a
personal reading with me, please get in touch via my website is gregoryscott.com. To draw up your
birth chart, I need your place of birth date of birth and time of birth. If I don't have the time
of birth, it's not the end of the world, I can use sunrise. But the problem with that is that the
ascendant and the house placements are then going to be off. And because of that, there's
a process called chart rectification, you send me 10 or more significant events that have happened
to you in your life. And by looking at those and looking at your chart, I can manually work out
your time of birth so that the chart is accurate. And then once I have the charts in front of me,
I can analyze it and see what your life purpose is, what your vocational aptitudes are,
where you're naturally lucky and supported and where you don't have to do much work and also
where you do have to work extra hard because you're not as blessed. Things that are destined
for you in relationships and finance and spiritual development, and friendships and
belonging to organizations and all these other things. To look at what's coming up in future,
I look at your transits and your progress chart. And to look at locations and which locations will
work for you. I look at your astro cartography. And what that does is it takes your birth chart,
but it just changes the perspective. So when I'm looking at your natal chart, it's me on earth
looking up with the astro cartography, it's the other way around, I am in the sky, so to speak,
I look down on planet Earth, see how the planets were moving over different parts of the earth at
the moment you were born, and how certain areas then influence you. So Mexico City may be ruled
by the sun and may be great for you. But Geneva in Switzerland may be ruled by Jupiter and maybe
even luckier, maybe even more positive. So if you're thinking of making a move on changing locations,
and you'd like me to look at the astro cartography for you, then please do get in touch for a personal
reading via the website GregoryScott.com. If you like this video, give it a thumbs up,
