Hi friends!
Have you ever heard about the very special night when God rescued his people?
It was called Passover, and it was the night God set the Israelites free from Egypt.
Let's go on a Bible adventure to learn all about it.
A long, long time ago, God's people, the Israelites, were slaves in Egypt.
Pharaoh made them work very hard, and no matter how many times Moses asked him to let them go,
Pharaoh always said,
No.
But God had a big plan.
He told Moses, Tell my people to get ready. This is the night I will set them free.
God told each family to take a perfect little lamb,
cook a special meal,
and put some of the lamb's blood on their door frames.
That night, God sent the final plague to Egypt.
He struck down the firstborns of all the Egyptians,
but when he saw the blood on the doors,
he knew they were his people, the Israelites.
And he passed over those houses and kept his people safe.
The next morning, Pharaoh was so sad and angry, he told the Israelites,
Go! You are free!
And they left Egypt quickly, just as God had promised.
Passover is a special reminder that God always keeps his promises and protects his people.
And did you know?
Jesus is like our Passover lamb.
He gave his life so we could be free from sin and be with God forever.
