I just opened up the world's best McDonald's and there's hundreds of people waiting hours
just to get a taste of our burgers.
But why?
It's no secret America's in trouble.
One in eight of the world's population are now classed as obese.
Toxic.
Ultra processed.
Food.
Obesity rates for kids have tripled.
It's a double chunk chocolate cookie.
And I believe there's one company to blame for all of this.
McDonald's.
So I've created a plan to take them down.
The plan?
Create the world's healthiest and tastiest fast food restaurant.
And I'm going to call it McDonald's.
Oh, um, McDonald's sucks.
Now according to ChatGPT, because the logo is slightly changed, I should be able to get
away with it.
Also, the founder of McDonald's himself right up just stole the business from these two
dudes so we'll just call it Get Back.
McDonald's, please don't sue me.
I'm just, I'm just a chill guy.
So now I have a logo and a name and now I just need to find a place that's willing to
let me have my McDonald's sucks grand opening.
The next day we started our mission of finding a restaurant.
Restaurant number one.
Hi.
Um, I was wondering like if you guys would be open to the idea of us like renting out
this location for a day and opening, um, like a, like a fake McDonald's?
No.
Okay.
Alright.
Well, thank you.
Have a good one.
After this, we started speed running local restaurants with the hope of finding one by
the end of the day, but unfortunately none of these restaurants seem to be too fond of
our idea.
I don't think so.
I doubt we could do that.
No.
Next question.
That's the only question I got, so.
Yeah.
But that wasn't going to stop me.
One after another, I was pitching these places my idea and once in a while I get a glimmer
of hope.
99% no.
I'm holding on to that 1%.
Alright.
Thanks man.
Have a good day.
And same with this place, Irv's Burgers, which literally looked perfect.
Okay.
Well, um, I think I'm going to have to get in contact with my manager.
If you want to write your number down, that'd be awesome.
Perfect.
Yeah.
Sure?
Yeah, yeah.
I'll give you a call.
Okay.
Perfect.
Mike?
Yeah.
It's Mike?
Alright.
Thanks.
Appreciate it.
I gave them my phone number.
The manager hopefully will give us a call, but I think we should probably keep asking
around.
So we kept asking relentlessly, but to no avail.
I realized this would be much harder than I anticipated and honestly started doubting
the plan just a little bit.
It's been a rough day.
Not much luck.
We're going to keep going.
Hopefully we can get a yes.
But as the day was coming to an end, we got a surprise phone call.
Hello?
Hey Jack, it's Mike from Irv's Burgers.
Oh, how's it going?
Um, yeah, uh, we talked to some people at your restaurant earlier today.
Is that something that you guys would be interested in or would be possible in any way?
Right now it's not a good time for us.
It's pretty busy down there.
Is there like any upcoming dates?
Like even one day?
One day.
If it was any day, it would have to be Friday.
That's the only option I got is this Friday.
Do you have like a rough estimate on like how much that would cost potentially?
Yeah, sure.
We can do the numbers.
On the spot, I'm going to have to go with about $2,000, Jack.
Okay.
Yeah, we'll do it.
We'll do it.
I can like send you all the details and we can like lock it in.
Okay, sounds like a plan.
That sounds good to me.
Alright.
See you soon.
Yeah, yeah.
Bye bye.
Hopefully that's not a mistake.
Woo!
Okay.
That was actually one of our favorite places we went to earlier today.
So yeah, not only is it this Friday, which means we have only a week to get it ready,
but it's going to cost us $2,000.
For the love of God, please join the movement and subscribe to the channel because we're
going to need everything we can get.
I think we can call it a night.
Hopefully it goes through.
Let's get out of here.
The very next day, we locked in Friday to rent out herbs and made our way down there
to meticulously measure every inch of this place in hopes that we could create perfectly
sized decals to make this place look like a legit McDonald's sucks restaurant.
Back at home, I did some rough Photoshop work and created all of the decals.
I called a ton of decal places to see if any of them could get them done in time.
And one place said,
So I placed the order.
With that out of the way, I started designing some absolute drip for Herb's Burgers employees
that would be helping us serve up all of our meals.
Finally, I sent them to get printed at a local print shop.
Now that all of that was done, all that was left to do was hope it all comes in time.
Okay guys, it's day three, which means we open in just four days.
Look, I've been doing a ton of research on ingredients and I think I've literally created
the world's best fast food meal.
This meal makes Ronald look like an absolute clown.
Our goal is to serve 250 meals, which means we're going to need a lot of each ingredient.
Now we could try to profit off these meals like the money-hungry folks over at McDonald's,
but I've decided we're already in the hole financially, so let's just give the meals away for free.
You know, something for the people.
It's probably a horrible business move and I might go bankrupt,
but, you know, I think fast food has just gotten way too expensive.
Alright, let's get to work.
And I'm back in frame, because I gotta turn the camera off.
To buy ingredients, we made our way to Whole Foods,
which is basically a grocery store for rich and healthy people.
And it's the only place that has the exact cheese we need.
Pasture-raised organic cheddar.
I'm telling you guys, this is the good stuff.
The problem is, when we asked to buy 250 slices,
they said they didn't have nearly enough.
But they did tell us...
I know the Whole Foods in Tustin is a little bit bigger,
maybe you might want to check with them.
So we bought out their entire stock and made our way to the Whole Foods in Tustin,
where they let us buy out all the remaining cheese we needed.
Is it drippy?
Is it what?
You know, I like my cheese drippy, bruh.
While we were here, we also grabbed some grass-fed butter,
as well as a bunch of organic ketchup.
Now we had to go all the way to another store called Sprouts to get our beef patties.
So, we're gonna have to...
Oh!
Ow!
What the...
Is that...
Is that Ronald?
Dude, I think so.
That was Ronald McDonald right there.
Does he know what we're doing?
Dude, there's no way.
Did you see that?
What?
A dude just came by, Ronald McDonald, and he socked me in my eye.
He punched me in my face.
I'll probably, like, get him back or something.
Yeah, I don't really know.
We still have to get ingredients, so...
Let's just...
Let's just keep going.
Ow!
Yeah, so that was kind of jarring,
but luckily, they had the exact beef patties we needed.
Organic, 100% grass-fed patties.
There is literally not a single fast food chain that offers beef this high of quality.
Not only is this stuff healthy, but it's delicious.
We wanted to buy 250 of these patties.
250 of those patties.
When do you need those patties?
Um, a week from today.
I have to order them.
Can you give me a call tomorrow for that order?
Just in case we run across anything, because it is the holidays.
The warehouse are very limited, so we don't know what supplies they have right now.
Dude, give me a call tomorrow.
Yes, sir.
Appreciate it.
So that night, I called and placed an online order for pickup,
and hopefully, they'll arrive in time.
The next day was arguably the most important part.
Promotion.
Now, I spent hours emailing a bunch of local food and health influencers
on behalf of McDonald's Sucks
and hoped that some of them might post it or even show up.
Then we made our way to pick up a box of flyers.
We just picked up 1,000 flyers.
These things look actually super professional.
Guys, my Photoshop abilities, they're getting pretty good.
We're just gonna try to spread the word as much as humanly possible
in hopes that hundreds of people show up to our restaurant.
We started by putting these things up next to Irv's Burgers
on every single wall.
Guys, can I talk to you?
Yeah.
So what are your names?
My name's Owen, his name's Jack.
They have McDonald's logos on this, and it says McDonald's Suck on it.
Mike, do you know about this?
Sorry, guys.
Which literally took us like five hours.
We have some spectacular news.
Our boy, Santa Cruz Medicinals, 500,000 Instagram followers.
He just posted a story saying that we're opening this McDonald's.
I hope that we get some traction.
I'm hyped on that, so hopefully that does something.
We're gonna keep promoting this thing.
So we made our way to go promote this thing even more
and everything was looking up.
But then...
Wait, bro.
Hold on, slow down.
Wait, pull.
Yo, pull over.
Pull over.
Bro.
For what?
Is that who I think it is?
Yo, Ronald!
Yeah?
How do you feel to get punched in your face?
You McLovin' it now?
Freakin' chicken nugget.
Give me extra cheese with that, yo.
Hey, give me...
Let's go.
Okay, he's not coming back.
And now that Ronald was finally taken care of,
it meant we can keep promoting.
We put these flyers all over local colleges.
Y'all be there?
Yeah, we'll be there.
I love you, bro.
Love you too, man.
High schools, middle schools, and every other place I could possibly think of.
And by the end of the day, I knew there was only one place left to hit.
The Ops.
Hey guys, how's it going?
Enjoying the burgers?
We're opening a restaurant.
It's named McDonald's Sucks.
We're just kind of handing these out.
It's completely free.
You know, a little healthy alternative.
Keep it up, brother.
Thank you, guys.
All right, we've converted two.
It's named McDonald's Sucks.
But we don't want any trouble.
I don't know.
I'm just going to leave a few here.
And, you know, I'd love for you to come.
I feel good about that.
We just spent the entire day putting up flyers.
If this fails, we can confidently say that we tried our best.
I need some sleep.
And hopefully people turn up to this thing.
With only two days before the grand opening, I was getting pretty worried our orders weren't going to be ready in time.
But luckily, the call started coming in.
We took a long drive to pick up our employee outfits.
We picked up our shirts.
I'm thinking about the turnout of the event.
If there's even going to be people there.
I'm stressed and worried about the whole thing going to plan.
Usually, I cut out the low moments in these videos because I try to keep it as positive as possible.
But I thought I might as well let you guys know even we have our off days.
But we're not going to use that as an excuse to quit because we still have a ton of work to do.
We're turning out these videos as quickly as possible.
And with that comes a lot of uncertainty.
But we're trying to get to that million subscribers.
And we're out here grinding as hard as we can.
Let's keep this going.
Let's keep pushing forward.
And let's get this restaurant open, baby.
And we pushed onward to get our decals.
Big shout out to Sinarama.
They came in absolutely clutch.
Yes, this is perfect.
Dude, this is going to look like a real restaurant.
McDonald's sucks.
Hamid.
Are you okay?
Yeah.
All right. Thanks, bro.
We loaded everything into the car and prepared for tomorrow, the day before the grand opening.
This thing's rolling.
Good morning, guys.
We're here outside of Sprouts.
And we're here to pick up some more ingredients.
We got a long day ahead of us.
We have a lot to do.
Let's get track of lacking.
First, we picked up our 256 beef patties.
Bro's got more beef than Tyson and Jake Paul.
And then we needed to get a ton of organic potatoes for our french fries.
Can we just take a second to appreciate this wonderful woman here that hand counted each and every one of these potatoes?
Now I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret here.
This is called beef tallow.
And it's what McDonald's used to fry their french fries in.
It's not only tastier, but it's way healthier.
Unfortunately, no surprise here, but McDonald's ended up becoming stingy.
And now they fry their french fries in this.
All of these ingredients.
Nasty.
Then we got even more potatoes and 250 spring water bottles.
This is what 250 water bottles looks like.
We then loaded everything into the car and made our way to Irv's to store everything to keep it nice and fresh.
And now it was time to cut these potatoes into french fries.
We assembled these fry cutters we got on Amazon.
It's time to cut our first potato.
Hopefully this thing works.
It works.
And then we started speed running some potatoes.
These fry cutters low key sucked and they kept slipping and getting jammed.
Which made this process much harder than I anticipated.
After the fries were cut, we would throw them in this ice water to get the starch out of the potatoes.
So they'd get nice and crispy when we fry them.
Then we dry them off super well before putting them in the freezer.
Watch out Gordon, you might have some competition.
Probably not.
That just took three hours.
And we're only halfway done.
I'm delusional.
It's been a long day.
It's been a long week.
But this is the home stretch.
And then tomorrow we're going to be up bright and early to open up the restaurant.
We're going to take down McDonald's.
We ended up cutting potatoes for a total of six hours before we were finally done.
We ended off the night by attempting to put up some decals.
We got our first decal on.
It looks so good.
We're going to put these up all over the restaurant and slowly transform this place into a McDonald's sucks.
And after a bit of decorating, this place was really starting to come together.
Alright guys, that's going to be a wrap on today.
I am so exhausted.
We got like half the restaurant done.
I think it honestly looks incredible.
One of the security guards walked by and literally thought that it was McDonald's.
Which I think is hilarious.
I'm super super nervous for tomorrow.
I don't even know if people are going to show up.
That's it. I'm going to bed.
Alright, today is the day.
It's 6am.
And today is the grand opening.
I can't believe I just said that.
I'm super nervous.
And I don't know what to expect.
But let's do it.
With no time to waste, we made our way down to Herb's to get this place set up.
We started by putting up all of the outside decals.
We put the fries in the bag so you don't have to.
What up Jimmy?
And then the banner.
And to finish it off, we added some final touches.
Introducing the world's first McDonald's sucks.
This place came out way better than I could have imagined.
That looks insane.
Oh my gosh.
That literally looks like a McDonald's.
And it seemed like people were starting to notice our creation.
I was like, did McDonald's buy in and out?
I live on Belleville Island and they had the Friar Champ down here.
Nobody realized it at the time.
And I went, no, if you look it says McDonald's sucks.
I started to worry that nobody was going to show up.
But regardless, we started firing up the Friars and getting our employees in their outfits.
It's currently 11 o'clock.
So technically it opens in about an hour.
No one has showed up yet.
So I don't know if that's a bad thing.
Hopefully people start showing up so we can actually serve some burgers.
Time was passing without any sign of any customers.
And I thought we might be screwed here.
But then the customers started coming in.
What's your name?
I'm Jack.
Oh really?
Nice to meet you.
Are you here for the burgers?
Yes, sir.
Oh, sweet.
Yeah, yeah.
We're going to start serving in probably like 45.
Okay, for sure.
Yeah.
And with 30 minutes before we opened, the line was looking like this.
There's a line of people everywhere.
All right, guys.
It's about 30 minutes later.
We've acquired quite the line of people.
There's probably, you know what?
Let me just show you.
Come on.
Oh my, dude.
What are we going to do?
Oh my god.
What are we doing?
Oh my god.
What are we doing?
Dude.
Dude, it's packed.
People lined down the street.
Dude.
What the?
I'm like super excited, but I'm like really overwhelmed.
We open in like, what, 10 minutes?
Yeah.
So we got ready to cook the first meal.
We threw down our grass-fed patty, followed with organic pasture-raised cheese,
and laid onto Herve's buns with some fresh shredded lettuce.
The burger goes in the custom McDonald's sucks bag,
and the seasoned beef tallow fries are thrown in as well.
And to top it off, a spring water bottle.
This is definitively the highest quality fast food meal there is.
And just like that, the first meal was served.
But the question is, how does it taste?
Out of 10?
Yeah.
Nine, for sure.
We started serving meals at a rapid pace, one happy customer after another.
This is going to be really ******* good.
Maximum burger.
I'm speechless.
I'm exploding in my mouth.
Pause.
It's better than the burgers my boyfriend makes at home.
Oh!
What'd you say?
Oh, no, nothing.
She was saying, like, you make the best burgers, dog.
OK, thank you.
We've been open for an hour, and I don't even think we're like a quarter way through the line.
So I'm starting to get pretty worried about if we're going to be able to serve everybody,
and how long it's going to take.
Then, somebody special showed up.
Santa Cruz Medicinals.
The same guy that helped us out by putting up that story post.
Funny enough, I happened to watch this dude's content before we ever reached out to him.
So we had to get him a burger.
He was one of the first health-conscious people I ever followed or watched online.
So I accredit this dude to a lot of the inspiration for this actual restaurant.
Hey, now, I would never eat McDonald's.
This is grass-fed beef.
This is pasteurized cheese.
Dude, I will eat this for sure.
That's a 10 out of 10.
Let's go.
OK.
Let's go.
We kept serving these meals, and the people were loving it.
Now, this turnout is better than anything I could have ever hoped for.
But I didn't realize how far people would actually go just to get one of these meals.
Where did you come from?
Fountain Valley.
For burgers?
Yeah.
I was at Balboa Pier, and he handed out a flyer.
And that's how you found this?
Yeah.
It must have been us.
I wonder if we have the clip.
I bet we have a clip handing a flyer to you somewhere.
Maybe it looked a little familiar.
I think it was you.
OK.
Let's go.
That tastes real.
It was worth the wait.
What was it, like two hours?
It was worth an hour to get here.
It was worth it.
We started to get pretty low on meals at this point.
But luckily, the line was much shorter now.
So we kept serving in hopes that everyone would get a burger.
You remember me?
I showed up.
You're from the McDonald's.
Yo, dude!
We're opening a restaurant.
It's named McDonald's Sucks.
I really respect that you came.
We are fighting against McDonald's.
We have officially turned a real-life McDonald's customer into a McDonald's Sucks customer.
Fun.
Is it better than McDonald's?
Way better.
Yes, baby!
Let's go!
As we served the final customers, some relief came over me.
And all I could feel was thankful.
Everything is going pretty well.
Hopefully, we have enough burgers.
I'm hoping everything continues to go well.
I'm kind of just...
Yo, what the...
Yo, Ronald!
Hey, come here!
All right?
Yeah!
Keep walking.
Only he's coming back.
The fact that we were able to give people a cheap and healthy alternative for just one day
and prove that this is even possible is everything I could have hoped for.
And the crazy part is, you guys watching pretty much made this entire thing possible.
So, thank you.
We're serving our last customer.
What was your name?
Steve.
I'm Jack.
Nice to meet you.
Oh, yeah, baby.
Is it better than McDonald's?
Oh, heck yeah!
Yeah!
Let's go!
McDonald's Sucks!
We're done.
We did it!
McDonald's Sucks!
Subscribe.
I'm leaving.
Guys, as epic as that all was, this war isn't over.
I'm going to be honest with you guys.
My relationship with food hasn't always been the best.
When I was stressed, I'd eat junk food.
When I was lazy, I'd eat fast food.
And when I was craving, I'd eat candy.
And as an effect, I didn't like who I was becoming.
I felt out of shape and just disappointed in myself.
And I'm telling you guys this honestly.
This was a genuine struggle that I had in my daily life.
But going into the new year, I am going to be healthier and stay away from these nasty foods.
And I hope that you guys will join me on this journey.
And remember, next time you want to go grab some food, choose wisely.
This is the moment.
Tonight is the night.
We'll fight till it's over.
So we put our hands up.
