busy days in my life: hosting at my apartment, stagecoach prep, fun surprises

Hello. What's up you guys? Welcome back to my channel. We're going to do a few days in my life in New York City. I debated vlogging because I'm really in and out of the city, but today and tomorrow are pretty go days and I think I want to document them. So, I am fresh off the airport, off the airplane, should I say. Literally got in about 10 minutes ago. I'm wearing this little Monday body workout set. I really like it. Featuring my new tan lines. Yeah, that's right. I went down to visit my family in Florida for Easter and I'm so happy I did. I feel so refreshed, so relaxed. So, I'm in a little pink, but I didn't want to get a spray tan for Stage Coach, so we had to put in some work. With that being said, Stage Coach is literally this weekend. I'm so excited. It's a country music festival, and I will be vlogging that. So, that'll be the next vlog on this channel. But really excited. It's about 4:00 right now, and Brooke and I have a podcast, if you don't know, called Girls on the Go. It's really fun. And um we are having Wishbone Kitchen, Meredith Hayden on the podcast. I don't think she's ever done a podcast. So, we're really really honored and we're really excited. Um, so I'm about to start getting ready for that cuz we're podcasting with her today at 6:00 p.m. So, let's get ready. So, I think for my outfit when I think of Meredith, I think Hampton's, I think gingham, I think all the things. So, I have these Abberrombie. They're called the ultra loose lowrise jean, the curve love jeans. I love these so much. So, I'm going to wear these. And I think for the top, I want to wear this shirt. I just recently got on Revolve. I just feel like she would approve of this. It's so cute. It's just precious. Like a little gingham moment. And it's warm out in New York City today. I think I'm liking these vibes. And then I'll either do these white mesh ballet flats that I got from Amazon a while ago or I have these really cute red Mary Janes that are from DW. So, I feel like I could go either way, but that's the vibe. I think we're going to do curled hair. I'm still getting used to my longer extensions. I showered this morning before I left for the airport. Um, and I've got my makeup bag here. So, we're going to go to town. Hair is curled. Makeup is on. The outfit is just darling. I think it's darling. It's the only way I can put it. I wore this exact outfit in Charleston and I just loved it. Um, and then I decided on the white mesh flats cuz the red of the ballet flats were a little different. Tan lines are fun, but also it's just like, oh, she has tan lines. Let's do some jewelry. Yellow. Kind of feeling these. Am I? Or is that crazy? But also, a part of me just wants to wear my everyday gold hoops, which is kind of crazy. I haven't put on makeup since last week. I didn't put on makeup once while I was in Florida. Shouldn't have even packed my makeup bag. Here's the fit to go record with Meredith. I'm so excited. She said she's bringing us some cookbooks, which is so nice. She's launching her cookbook May 6th, and we're pumped for her. My hair is like I'm like trying to let it fall. It's not falling. As you guys know, we did that little surprise for her in tandem with her boyfriend, but her actual birthday was this last weekend, and she wanted to do something in the city. So, I'm having her friends over tomorrow, including Kelly, for like a cocktail hour situation. And then we're going to dinner after. And Cass and I have like kind of planned the whole thing. Like, Kelly told us where she wanted to go to eat. She wants to eat at COA Elbow, which is a great restaurant. But everything else we kind of took into our own hands. Like tomorrow, we're going to go to Trader Joe's. I'm going to make some floral arrangements. I've never done this in my entire life, but we're going to try it out. And Cass like knows someone that makes beautiful menus and place cards and everything. And but yeah, I'm hosting everyone here for a cocktail hour beforehand. So, I made these little menus on Canva. They're not amazing by any means, but it says the bar, Kelly's 30th birthday. We're just I have to get the ingredients for this, too. But signature drink, skinny, spicy, sexy margarita, dirty martini, and then some wine. So, I just put all the options. And I have these things that I got for my New Year's party, if you guys remember. And I kept them cuz I knew I'd need them. I hope these fit. These aren't going to fit because I'm dumb like that. Oh my freaking god. I could cut I can make some magic happen. I can cut the top off a little. This is so classic me. I just had them printed downstairs rather than like these I got printed somewhere. But I just I'm trying to like prepare my home to be a hosting spot, but then also pack for stage coach cuz I leave for stage coach Thursday morning and there's going to be a ton of people in my apartment tomorrow night. And I also want to spend time with my boyfriend, have a second alone, you know, do all these different things. So, I'm just trying to fit it all in, you know, but thankfully I have a lot of time and rest in Florida, which I'm glad. But, um, yeah, I'll doctor these up a little bit. So, I have two of these. We hired a bartender that we met at an event or like through someone else that like has used him for another event and he's literally a model. So, he's going to be our bartender, a model bartender, which is so fun. Ryan, I'm like, "Do you want Chipotle?" He's like, "Have you eaten dinner?" I'm like, "No, let's get Chipotle." But I feel bad cuz I feel like Ryan has Chipotle all the time cuz it's like near his work. Okay, so menus are done. What am I going to do now? I'm going to take the corset off. I'm going to get cozy. I need to unpack from Florida. I got things to do and I'm going to keep you guys along every second. I'm going to light a candle to set the vibes. I forgot to say one of the other things we did for Kelsey that's going to be a surprise is we hired a photographer um to kind of be like not annoyingly but like paparazzi. So when Kelly walks in for the cocktail hour, she doesn't know anything. She doesn't know that we hired a bartender or anything. We're going to like have her taking photos because Kelly always looks so freaking amazing. She's a makeup artist. If you guys don't know, makeup xka on Instagram. She's a celebrity makeup artist and she always looks amazing and she always has the best outfits too, let me tell you guys. She's just so selfless and like never Oh, Ryan's calling me. She just like never is like, "Oh, like take a photo of me." So, I'm like, "We're hiring a photographer so you can get your 30th birthday photo." Hello. Hey. No, I was just vlogging. Do you want Chipotle or No, from Chipotle. Chipotle. You love Chipotle. I just changed. I got this shirt off Revolve. I just love it. I was wearing in Florida. My brother was like, "Okay, number 67. Like, what is that tie to you?" I was like, "Nothing. I just like it. It's cute. Got some fun comfy pants on. Ryan and I Chipotle got here so fast." Like, seriously, he's not even here yet. Like, I randomly love Chipotle queso, so I did get a little queso. And then, oh, Brian, I'm obsessed with doing He got chips, too. I'm obsessed with doing group orders on Uber Eats. So, I just like send the link to whoever's involved in the meal and then they add all their things. So, I got I have had the same Chipotle order since high school. I don't change it. Actually, I recently changed it to the salad instead of the bowl cuz I wanted more greens. The It's the salad with double chicken. I do double chicken. That's actually new, too. So, but basically, I always do brown rice, black beans, chicken, mild pico, and lettuce. Like, that's it. I'm pretty boring. So, but I recently started doing double chicken for added protein. And then Ryan's is heavy. Gonna have these set up for Oh, no. Chipotle forks. Chipotle forks are the best. Kind of feel like I should start listening to some country. I not start. I listen to country. I was listening to it in Florida, but I should listen to country all week to get excited for Stage Coach. Speaking of Stage Coach, like I ideally would at least unpack from Florida tonight. It's hilarious. I pack all this stuff for Florida and I wear nothing. Especially during the summer. I literally just wear my swimsuits every day, but you know, you have to feel covered and like like you've got all your things with you no matter what. Um, so we're going to unpack. Hopefully at least tonight I'll unpack and then repack tomorrow for Stage Coach because I've already planned all of my outfits for the most part and I set everything aside here so it's an easy pack. But obviously I ordered more things cuz I'm crazy. So I need to open some packages too and like add to that. I'm listening to Midland because they're one of the performers of Stage Coach this year. So good. I forgot they do drinking problem. Okay, a little haul of random things that I got in the mail for Stage Coach. This brand reached out to me and they're like, "Do you need any jewels for stage coach?" And then I saw they had this two-tone beauty necklace. Like this is such a perfect accessory, not only for stage coach, but just for life. And then I'm in my hand chain era. Brooke influenced me. Like it's just such a nice delicate accessory especially for like spring and summer time. So they electric pics. This one's electric pics. They sent me their two newest hand chains. I kind of want to start wearing hand chains on both hands. I think that's a vibe. And then this one it looks like I'm like is that multiple fingers? I guess just one still. That one's cute, too. So those are the jewels. I got this brown silk bandana to wear with one of my outfits. And then I got, if you watched, I think I included it in my vlog too, but if you also watched my Instagram real/ Tik Tok of like trying on all my stage coach outfits, I had this Danielle Gizio camo corset and I didn't realize they were matching pants, so I bought them because I feel like I'll just wear them anyways. But I feel like this could be a vibe for stage coach with boots and the corset. And then I've had this I've had this in my apartment for 2 weeks, but Brooke was out of town for her actual birthday and I didn't want to bring it today cuz it was kind of rushed. But I have Brooke's birthday gift and I'm so excited to give it to her. Brooke introduced me to the art of pouches and just putting a ton of ton of pouches in your big tote bag for travel and stuff. So you have like your lip product pouch, your health pouch with like, I don't know, band-aids and Advil, you know, stuff like that. Anyways, so I got her a little Louis Vuitton pouch and I'm so excited to give it to her. I'm giving it to her tomorrow cuz we have another podcast recording in the morning and I got her a card so I'm going to write that. But the beauty this is already wrapped. So I mean she's going to know it's from Louis Vuitton when I give it to her. But I'm so beyond myself excited to give this to her and it's just so stunning. Dinner is done and Ryan and I have just been catching up. He's in my room. We're watching White Lotus season 2. I just finished unpacking. I'm going to fill up my water and we are going to go to bed. We have a busy busy and fun day tomorrow. So, I'll see you guys in the morning. Morning everybody. It's Wednesday. Big big day today. I'm ice rolling away. Ryan's in the shower and I'm just tidying up around here cuz I'm going to have guests here later. I'm excited to host. Um, I think there's going to be like 10 or 12 of us here today, but I've got my coffee. We've got the ice strawer. I'm enjoying my basically 36 hours at home before I head to California tomorrow. But yeah, dock it. This morning, Brooke and I are recording an episode of Gals on the Go with Hie and Jazz. We literally did this already and it was a pod swap. So, we did one for their podcast, one for ours, and something got messed up at our studio and our episode got messed up. So, all good though because now we're going to go do a new one. It's going to be even better. So, thank goodness to Jazz for being understanding. They were like, "We have had our fair share of technical difficulties as well." So, we're doing that at 11:00, but it's about 8:00 a.m. right now, and I'm going to take advantage of the morning and get emails done, tidy up. I'm going to order all the alcohol I need for our little bar tonight. Like I showed you guys on the menu, though. We're literally doing wine, dirty martinis, and skinny spicy margaritas. I don't drink either of those beverages, so I just need to like figure out and get approved by Cass, who is helping me plan all this, if those are the right ingredients to get. But I think I have vodka and maybe a bottle of tequila. So really, I just need to get like the cults. Guys, I can't stop listening to like tropical house/ specifically this artist. I think I've told you guys about Shallow already. But the vibes are just so it's summer. It's poolside lounge. I love it so much. A lot of people ask what this is, by the way. This is an Alexa. It's time to change my TV art. This is the Samsung frame TV. And I see they've brought the Life's a Beach one back. But also, I'm trying to think like I'm having people over tonight. Will they want to be in beachy vibes? Like for me personally, I want to do the starfish. Let's see how that looks. Oh, it's so cute. But are people going to be like, "What?" No, I'm going to keep it like that for now because it's making me happy. But maybe I'll change it to a more evening appropriate one later. Giving Ryan a refill of his Skin Fix Barrier Plus. Just finished getting ready for the podcast. It's a beautiful day. I follow this account on Instagram that like reports the weather for that day for New York, like rating wise, and they said today's rating is 10 out of 10. So, I'm thrilled. I am rewearing a ton of outfits this week. I rewore an outfit I wore in Charleston yesterday, and this outfit I wore in Austin recently. It's just outfits that made me feel really good. This top is from Jonathan Simkai, and it's just so fun. And it like matches the top of these pants perfectly. These are pricey. They are selling McCartney and they're in a set. If you guys remember my Jackson Ho vlog, I have a matching jacket with this too, but it just matches perfectly and you would think it's a set. And then I'm wearing some stodd little western boots. I think I'm going to do this bag. Yeah, just like a little neutral moment. Let me introduce you guys to the purse bowl. I got this on Amazon. It's linked on my Amazon storefront, which is linked down below. This purse bowl I now keep in an area where it's easy for me to refill my purses. This is all of the contents that I keep every day in my bags. So, because I literally switch out my bags all the time. I saw this idea on Tik Tok. Her name was Cocoa Flakes. And now I'm obsessed because I just empty out my purse, put it all in here so that the next day when I go to switch out my purse, I like don't have to go through that purse. Like it's just my purse is already put away. I take out my new one. I go to my purse bowl. I love it. Or I can if it's like night time, I can just take out a couple things from my purse bowl. You know the vibes. So here's today's bag. We're going to be on the go. After I record the podcast, I'm going to go with Brooke to give her her gift. Maybe we'll go to a coffee shop or something. And then I have a couple other little appointments and then we're going to Trader Joe's and getting flowers for tonight. So, anyways, these are my sunglasses for the day. They are also Amazon. I'll be putting these in my bag. I'm also just like I just throw things everywhere. hand sanitizer, wallet, essential oils, many various lip products, airpods, Fenty Beauty, which actually actually I'll wait till I put on right when I get there. It's just powder. Crown affair has a mini brush of my favorite brush that has like the soft and the plastic bristles. So, I am bringing that. More lip products, perfume, more lip liners, and then my favorite gum. My hand chain fell off my finger. So, now my bag is full. Purse bowl is empty and I'll put stuff in it later. I'm also going to wait to do my lips when I get there because I am going to crack open one of these Element sparkling waters cuz I feel like I traveled yesterday, traveling tomorrow, and I just feel like I don't want to be dehydrated. I don't even know what to do. I kind of feel like I want to do neutrals, but that's just me. I feel like Kelly likes that, too. Like, oh my god. I don't even know. I might just get things and then put it together later. Like this is fun. Some greenery and like white perhaps. These are also really pretty. I feel like they would be a nice touch. More hydrangeas. Okay, this is what we've landed on. This should be enough. Hello. We are back now and I am ordering the alcohol for tonight. Um, the countdown is on. I have 2 hours till Cass is going to get here and then I have 3 hours till everyone else is here and I have so much to do and I'm just kind of sitting here like, what do I do? But I was like, okay, I need to get the alcohol. I I think I have enough tequila. It's like people are only going to be here for an hour. So, it's like we don't need that much alcohol and I don't know what people are going to drink. So, I don't want to overby like I do sometimes. I don't want to under buy. But, I have like almost a full bottle of Kamigos. Like that's got to be fine, right? I might get another thing of Grey Goose to be safe. I'm doing Uber Eats on my computer. I love being on my computer so much. I love doing everything on my computer. So, we're doing the dirty martini and we're doing the skinny spicy margarita. So, I bought limes at Trader Joe's. I need taheen. Taheen on the rim. And also, how do you get the taheen on the rim? This place doesn't have taheen. I need orange lor. I feel like I used to have that. I might have that. I don't know. So, I'm over here wondering what do I do first? So, thankfully Cassidy will be here in under an hour and I already have my hair and makeup done from podcasting. It's amazing. She's going to help me do the flower arrangements. I have these little vases that she ordered here that most definitely will fit all the florals, if not maybe even a little more of what I have. So, we can kind of make some fun things out of it. This cutting board will be for the limes and the jalapenos. My friend Seb is going to bring taheen, cointro, olives. I hope I have everything. I've got some random wine. I have banana bread from earlier. In here, we're packing for stage coach. I am so happy with myself that last week I tried on all of my outfits. I am bringing two suitcases. I am doing that um because the boots take up a lot of space. The hats, I don't know, maybe I'll bring the hats on the um flight. Like I just crack myself up because I get all worked up. I'm like I'm not going to have enough time before everything. I am I will pat myself on the back. I am amazed at the things I can get done in a short period of time on a stuff like this. Like hosting. I'm just piping myself right now. Hosting, packing, prepping. I'm like running to my computer to get work done and like do edits for brands and just random things and cuz I was like feeling really overwhelmed and Cass was calling me to like do something for tonight and like I'm so excited to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday and I like cannot wait and it's going to be amazing cuz like once everyone arrives like I can't do anything else like I've done what I can do about every and it's just when I get home tonight I'll zip up my suitcase and we'll do the final things and then we're good. I just had to get through this like last 2 hours of just locking in. And so I was I was just like feeling stressed and I was like, you know, we can either choose to get nothing done to be stressed or we can lock the freak in. And it's go time. And I played Ain't No Love Oklahoma by Luke Holmes and we grinded. And it was a lot easier than I thought like because because I set myself up for success. I already have my toiletry bags packed. I just keep them packed. Like it's just I already have my outfits planned. Like I just get so worked up in my head. I'm like this was not that bad. I got this. And I'm about to have so much fun with my friends tonight and celebrate Kelly's 30th birthday. That's that, baby. Okay, before I start getting changed, Cassidy is going to stop by the restaurant first to see if we can like go in and put the play settings and the menus down first. So, I'm going to get started. All Kelly knows is she's coming to my apartment for like a pregame before Christina Alba. And um but then she's like posting on her stories right now like I'm putting on sunscreen cuz like maybe we're going to Danielle's roof. And so me and C are like we're not as of now like we're not going to my roof. Like we could totally go to my roof but I thought it'd be like more of a vibe down here with the music and like but like also today is the most beautiful day in New York and I didn't know that was going to be. So, I'm like, is Kelly gonna be let down when she realizes we're not going to enter the roof? But I figured we'd take the photographer up there and get cool shots of Kelly and all of us for her bday. I don't know if I said this, but it's Kelly's 30th birthday, so that's why we're going hard. It's a big deal. She's such a good friend. Like, always checking in on me. Like, I just am so grateful to have her in my life. Like, she's seriously become one of my closest friends here in the city. So, just want to make sure she feels celebrated, you know, and that's that. I actually think I got too many flowers. Haha, all that stress. See, always stressing about something. These are so cute. Okay, everything is now out of the wrapping. And we've got these cute little vases. I guess I'll put a little water in each. Not too much is needed. is just for the night. I was like, "Yes, please have him wait in the lobby cuz I literally need until the very last second. The photographer and him were supposed to be here at 5:45. It's 5:36 and I need every ounce of that time. Um, Cass is handling the restaurant stuff as we speak. So, it's kind of like me and him and Cass was like, "Do you think we could put some body oil on him?" I was like, "No, totally. Let me just get changed." Because also, not to mention, this is a birthday night for my best friend who's a makeup artist and my makeup has been on all day, so I'm like trying to touch off. It could be better.
