Once upon a time in a quiet village, there lived a small wooden mirror named Miro.
He wasn't shiny like the fancy mirrors in big city shops.
He had a few scratches on his frame, and his glass was just a little foggy in the corners.
Because of this, he always felt like he wasn't good enough.
Miro lived in a cozy house with a kind girl named Lila.
Every morning, Lila would smile into Miro's mirror and say,
She didn't care about the scratches.
She liked how warm and safe she felt looking into him.
But Miro didn't see what Lila saw.
He thought,
One day, a big shiny mirror from the city was delivered to Lila's neighbor.
Miro watched as everyone admired it.
It was tall, spotless, and glittered in the sun.
Now that's a real mirror, Miro whispered to himself.
The next morning, Lila walked up to Miro like always.
She brushed her hair and smiled at her reflection.
Miro couldn't help but ask,
I'm not like the shiny new mirrors.
Lila blinked in surprise.
Then she knelt down and looked right into him.
Miro, she said,
You remind me that I'm okay just as I am.
Messy hair, sleepy face, and all.
You've always been here.
You've always been enough.
Miro thought about that.
He didn't need to be the fanciest.
He just needed to be himself.
From that day on, Miro didn't wish to be like anyone else.
He stood proud on Lila's wall, scratches and all,
knowing that being himself was more than enough.
Moral of the story is,
you don't need to be shinier, bigger, or better.
You're enough just as you are.
Thanks for watching.
