ABOUT THIS VIDEO:-
In this video, I will demonstrate "How to perform Logging Lifts Correctly" .
"Logging lifts" typically refers to the practice of recording or documenting weightlifting workouts or exercises in a log. This can include details such as the exercises performed, the amount of weight lifted, the number of sets and repetitions completed, and any notes about how the workout felt or any adjustments made.
Logging lifts serves several purposes:
1. Tracking Progress
2. Identifying Patterns
3. Setting Goals
4. Motivation
5. Preventing Injury
Overall, logging lifts is a valuable tool for anyone serious about weightlifting or strength training, helping them stay organized, motivated, and focused on their fitness goals.

today I'm going to be talking a little
bit about how you know if you're
progressing with your training so first
and foremost you want to make sure that
you are loging your lifts if you have or
you should have a structured training
program with a set amount of exercises
and a set amount of working sets and you
should be marking down what weight you
lifted how many reps you achieved and
how that felt so could be something as
simple as the last two reps were really
difficult I should go heavier next time
Etc so first of all just because you've
set specific numbers on a previous
workout that doesn't mean that you
should come in and go straight for the
heaviest weight that you lifted that
wouldn't make sense so we should always
look to be doing one to two warm-up sets
or fer sets whatever you want to call it
to make sure that you are feeling good
there's no injuries and the the path of
movement essentially feels comfortable
so for me last time I did this exercise
I achieved 54 kg for 13 reps my rep
range is 12 to 15 so I know that I need
to progress that so first of all I'm
just going to do a couple of sets to
make sure everything's feeling
[Music]
okay so that's feeling great I'm quite
warm cuz this is about my fifth exercise
in this workout so I know now that I can
pretty much jump up to that weight and
it's going to be okay I'm going to go
for 65 kilos today and I'm going to try
my best to achieve 12 anything more than
that is a bonus and that will get marked
down in my
log
[Music]
I believe that was around 12 or 13 I
actually lost count so I'll have to
watch this video back to check and you
probably heard of a saying called reps
in reserve that essentially means when
you get towards the end of your rep
range you could be two or three reps in
reserve meaning after another two or
three reps you would completely fail so
I'm going to mark that down as a really
positive set it's going to go in my log
book and next time I do this workout I'm
going to aim to either match the
or progress the data from this session
thank you very much for watching
hopefully this video was a little bit
helpful gave you a bit of an insight
into how you should be going about your
training remember like subscribe and
I'll see you on the next
