Defeat At Old Trafford ｜ Man Utd v West Ham

Teams on the way out of the tunnel here at Old Trafford. Manchester United supporting the red campaign on the front of the shirts today in association with Snapdragon as they stride out next to West Ham United to take on what is a tough game at the bottom of the Premier League. And look, we've spoken about Manchester United, but West Ham are dangerous. They win the ball in midfield. They are physical where they need to be. And on transition with Bowen and Kudus, they are ridiculously quick as well. Into the penalty area comes Ahmad, looks to try and squeeze a pass in. In fact, picks up Bruno into the penalty area and his right-footed effort swept towards goal just grazes the crossbar on the way through. Out comes Bayern Dier, header comes in. It's actually West Ham that get the first head to it. Turn around the corner to Mason Mann, who holds it up well and turns away from danger and then looks for that switch of play out to the right-hand side. And it's a brilliant pass from Mason Mann to Ahmad, who picks it up in the gap between the touchline, 18-yard box. Harald Wan-Bissaka struggling, Ahmad, with this shot. Wan-Bissaka, reverse pass to Kudus inside the penalty area. Kudus smashes the cross and it's turned home. Dinks one over the top, looking for Rasmus Hoyland. Hoyland going to have a go at the distance. Oh, goodness me, what an effort that would have been. Ball into the penalty area, headed away by Nus Mazraoui. Bruno Fernandes trying to get tight to Kudus. Kudus gets away from him, chops it back to the edge of the penalty area. Shot comes in, it is straight at Altai Bayadir. And then, Agathe, dispossessed by Aaron Wan-Bissaka. And it's Kudus, up to the end of the penalty area, gets his shot away. Nus Mazraoui stretching for it, pulled back inside the penalty area. Jaron Bowen makes it 2-0. Bruno Fernandes, though, hits it absolutely perfectly into the path of Ahmad. Ahmad charging towards the edge of the penalty area. Got Hoyland out to the right-hand side, Hoyland with the finish. Big save, Arreola turns it behind. Ball in, maybe this is a chance for Maguire! Oh, Maguire's header. He bends the ball into the box, header comes in, and it's turned home, Isigno gets off the line. It's a brilliant save from Alphonse Arreola. Mistake by Viktor Lindelof, and Ward-Proust is in, it's a good save from Altai Bayadir. Full-time whistle is sounded by the referee, Jaron Gillett, Manchester United have lost to West Ham by two goals to nil. But it's a familiar story for this Manchester United side, plenty of opportunities created, good opportunities, that could have got Manchester United not only level, but ahead in the game. Unfortunately the finishing didn't match the quality of the opportunities, and once again Manchester United find themselves on the wrong end of a defeat here at Old Trafford this season.
