SK Siltron Tour
A year ago we announced that SK Siltron would be building a new facility,
investing over 300 million dollars, creating 150 good-paying jobs,
and bringing the supply chain here to North America. They chose Bay County because
they believe in Michigan. Today SK Siltron and Michigan are coming together to win and design
the future. Our legendary manufacturing heritage here in Michigan, our hard-working people,
and our spirit of collaboration are empowering us to compete for transformational projects.
We have the skilled workforce, we have a growing economy, and a strong business-friendly
environment. The products that SK Siltron manufactures are truly the building blocks
of countless other products and industries. This investment helps a community, it helps a state,
it helps an industry, but it also helps individual Michiganders. It proves that
when we work together, we all win. I believe in Michigan just like SK Siltron does because I know
what we are capable of. My message to anyone who is looking for a place of opportunity,
the answer is Michigan. Whether you're a multi-national, multi-billion dollar company,
or a talented young person looking for an opportunity and a place to start a career,
we're showing the world what Michigan is capable of.
