How's it going everybody? I'm Nikki Delventhal and these are my dogs Rodney and Camper Delventhal.
For over three years we lived in a Toyota Prius but now we're in a 4x4 Sprinter
and we're here to take you along on the wild ride. So fasten up your seat belts and let's have some
fun. Don't forget if you like what you see, like, subscribe, comment, share with your friends and
Wow, what a pretty morning. Good morning Camper. Hi. Morning. Wow, how old-fashioned of you.
Incoming. All right, can my girl join this boy party?
What do you guys say we have some coffee and then we'll tell you guys what's going on here.
It's amazing. If you can't tell, we've been living here for a week. This is like
little cabin in the woods dirt bag edition. We didn't clean up like everybody else does.
Fancy. Free. To the swimming hole. In case you guys haven't picked up on it yet, we are
staying in a little cabin in the woods but this is no ordinary cabin. We are at a literal adult
summer camp. It is structured. There's places to be at certain times. This is something that
Justin's family has been doing for how many years? 62 years. 62 years and we are lucky enough to be
able to join all of them in the activities. So first thing, we get the dog's energy out
and maybe take a little cold plunge. Yeah? Let's go. You guys, I will sleep 300 feet in a tree.
I will do so many crazy things but for some reason jumping into water
from any height, it's like my biggest fear. This is so high. I think I should go to the
bottom one. I think I have to work my way up. I'm so scared. I'm shaking.
By the end of these three weeks, I'm going to go off the high one. Yes, I am.
You're the coolest person I've ever met in my life. Do it. Yeah. I did it. I leveled two
badass. What was it like being the most courageous female ever to jump off a cliff?
It's a hard job but I just want to be out there to inspire all the other powerful,
independent females and honestly, I'm so glad that I hit the world record today
for biggest b**** on the planet.
We just had a fantastic breakfast a la Justin and now it is time to pow wow for the day. So
in the mornings, it's kind of like a free-for-all. If you want to see people, you can. If you don't
want to see people, you don't. So we'll do things like bocce ball tournaments, pickleball,
golf tournaments. It is so much fun. What other things can we do here? We can do
volleyball, tennis, horseshoes, cornhole, bocce ball, table tennis. The possibilities are endless.
Basketball. But first, we have to think about dinner. Oh, that's right. We're having people
over tonight and we got the hostess with the mostest here. This guy can cook. What do you
want to do? I think we should do pizza tonight. Oh, we could do a sourdough crust. Let's do it.
Yeah, let's go inside and make it right before we start. Right now. I got this 15-year-old starter
from a bus couple that I met in a hot spring and it has been the absolute best thing we've ever
had. So we fed the baby this morning because we gotta feed her every day, otherwise she gets mad.
Then we make a big boy dough here. We don't have a scale, so we're gonna eyeball it and just
hope it comes out good. All right, drop her in. 250 grams of water.
Oh, that's pretty good. The trick about sourdough is it is an all-day process, but you're not
adding yeast because it's using its own bacteria to keep growing and rising. It's such a cool
process. Wet washcloth. See you in an hour. Morning activity for today.
Bumper shoulders. Pickleball. This is my second time ever playing, but we're both extremely
competitive, so this should be a good one. He's already doing the loser walk. Entering the arena.
Game three. All or nothing. Everything's on the line. Okay, I lost three out of three games.
I will accept my defeat nicely. You got spunked, kid. Anyways,
pickleball's tough. Like, that's a really great cardio. I've worked up an appetite.
You thinking what I'm thinking? Let's go fishing. Yeah. All right, time to add the salt and fold the
baby and then realize we didn't make enough go. Actually, is that enough? It's a baby. It's a baby.
Today, we are catching our own lunch. Hopefully. True. Let's get down to the river. I caught one.
Oh no, I lost him. All right, I'm gonna bet we catch one within
15 minutes. Barefoot hiking. This is how you get stronger. I apologize in advance for all of the
background noise. This is how you get them. Oh crikey, we gotta make it through the jungle
to get these big chompas. Catching fish now. Not having the best of luck here, but still hopeful.
This is gonna be the one. So this is one of my first times fishing, and I gotta say,
one, it's badass to be able to catch your own food, but it is kind of like a
semi-meditation. I see why everyone does this. We're moving upstream, finding another hole.
I'm determined, but we also are out here kind of late. The best catch
is in the morning. So we know they're in here. Osprey just got one. Now it's our turn.
Oh, I got one. Oh, you got a baby. Too small to eat. We're gonna put him back in.
Look how cute. Let her go. Oh, we got another baby. Pretty.
Yeah. Nice. Does it look big enough to eat? Yeah. Got lunch, baby. Not the best day of fishing,
but not the worst. We got some fish. Let's go cook them. You know what we should try next?
What? Spear fishing. Gotta get a spear gap. I'm serious. That'd be fun.
You'd have to make a sound when you spear him.
Hi. Hello. Hello, boys. We missed you. Hi. Fresh sourdough.
And skip to when it's done. Lunch is served. Rainbow trout on avocado toast.
Cannonball.
Did I get him?
The next gift you could give yourself is the gift of adrenaline.
I've never rope swung before, so I'm kind of nervous.
I did it. That was my first rope swing. You know, another thing that I don't think we realize until
we're in this situation is the learned anxiety that we have and the habit of anxiety. For me,
we've been here for one week. It took five days for me not to feel like I had to be doing
something. I had to be checking my phone. I think it's an addiction that a lot of us have. So
I highly recommend if you have the opportunity to just get off grid and force yourself to not even
look at your phone and to actually not work. Another thing is we do need to practice what
we preach. For the past four years, I think I've only taken two weeks off where I haven't
posted a video. I'm career oriented to a fault. So we're going to do it next week. I'm going to
take the week off. I'm not going to post a video and I'm actually going to immerse myself in
connecting and being healthier and yeah, truly getting off grid and resetting my mind. So I
hope all of you get the opportunity to do so. But on that note, let the games continue.
Free Willy!
I gotcha! Did I touch you?
All right, time to add the salt and fold the baby.
It's pizza night, baby. So here at Adult Summer Camp, each cabin takes turns cooking for everybody
else. So for the rest of the week, we don't have to cook at all, which I'm really excited about.
But tonight is sourdough pizza. You guys ready? Let's do it. We got J Mac on the onion chopping
because we know Nikki can't handle it without a snorkel. We're reducing the sauce.
Wait till you check this baby out. Ready for the big reveal? Yeah. Look at that movement
and those air bubbles. Oh, I'm stoked. Look who we got here. We got Megan,
Phil, and friends. All right, group hug. Bring it in, Justin. We're making a video.
Three even slices. This is good. What kind of pizzas are we making tonight? Spicy Hawaiian.
Veggie delight pepperoni. Oh, it's actually good. Oh boy. I know. Thank you.
Are you guys ready for the best pizza of your entire lives? Is it going to be today?
Probably not, but someday.
Would you look at this? Are you going to tell me that's not the best looking
pizza you've ever seen in your life? It's pretty good.
Veggie delight. Cheers. You guys ready for the main event? One of them. Exactly. So every single
night they do something so wild and so fun at eight o'clock and tonight's agenda is? Big bucks
bingo followed up by the dart tournament. I'm so excited. Some other activities they do here too
are line dancing, which is one of my absolute favorites, knowing that I used to be a dancer,
but also they do a talent show, which last year Justin tried to tell me that in order to be
initiated into the family that everyone always showcases a talent. Well, I did and I found some
girls to dance with. It was so much fun, but afterwards everyone was like, wow, you're so
brave. And I'm like, what? Apparently you didn't have to do it, but she did choose a sport sport.
Anyways, you guys, we are about to walk right into bingo. I'm so excited. We're going to win.
You always win. I don't know about this. First thing that happens is you show up early so you
could stake out a good table. Then you pay 50 cents per card and try to pick the best possible.
Justin has a habit of picking cards that have all 66 on them. Me on the other hand,
no rhyme or reason. You ready? Well, got one. He's fast.
From there, we drowned our sorrows of not winning. There was an ice cream.
Then they decided let's just do one more round and guess who won.
Nice. That was good.
These are the outfits that the losers have to wear. Justin ended up modeling it for everybody
before we made it back to our chair. Justin, what'd you do here? I built you a custom seat.
I whittled this. I sewed it. It's custom.
Here we go.
I'm so scared. Are we going to keep going a little more? Okay, keep going.
We made it. You didn't die, Herman. Thank you, taxi. Oh, hello, boys. Hi.
Hi, there. Hello, boys. Hi. Good night, Justin. Good night, camper. Oh, you look so happy.
Night, everybody. If you think that was fun, let me show you some of the highlights from the rest
of the week. For one, Justin and I had a challenge where we would go to a thrift store, pick out each
other's outfits. Here you go. Dress each other up. What do you think of that? And then join the whole
group to go line dancing that evening. I even gave Justin handlebars with mascara. It was so much fun.
What pisses me off most is that I spent 35 years of my life learning these dances,
and Nikki takes 30 seconds, and she's got them nailed. Nikki, you're hot, but annoying.
Another great adventure, whitewater rafting, which, by the way, is one of my biggest fears,
but you guys know that I face them. On this adventure, we attacked a bunch of class threes.
We also made a ton of stops along the way, climbing rocks,
and again, facing my fears, cliff jumping. Oh, shoot. I can't hold my nose and my helmet,
which was terrifying, but I also jumped off the highest cliff of my life, which made me feel so
good. I did it. I'm a type three badass. Okay. All right. Let's do that one more time.
I mean, look at that smile. Besides all of the splashes, we made a bunch of recoveries,
which ironically was not from the time we got stuck on the rock and took four minutes to try
to maneuver our way out. We got it. We got it. This did inspire us to ride up to a rapid
and voluntarily jump out and go with the flow. This was an adventure I wanted to say no to,
but I was so happy that I said yes and tried everything, of course, with the support of a
great crew. This past week, we also played a ton of games, even had relay races for the dogs,
had naps, campfires. I even took my swing at golfing, which by the way, apparently I'm a
natural, and last but certainly not least, even went ghost hunting, as this area has a ton of
history and spooky stories. As always, thanks for watching. We love you. We'll see you on an episode
next Friday. Wow. I'm not allowed to film anymore today.
