Walking Neiman over 10. His third.
Jeff, I don't know about you.
I think everybody's waiting for
Joaquin Neiman to play a little
better in the majors.
What a neat shot that was.
Almost hold it from the fairway.
If that job said.
Michael Block over at the power
for 11th for a long birdie,
which he just drills.
Nice start.
He had a good finish yesterday.
It's back right hole location.
Nice to see him playing a little bit better.
Had a nice finish at the Masters.
About a year and.
It's hard to believe as well as he's
played for the last five or six years.
Out to JJ spawned from the fairway.
And that was an important thing
to be in the fairway.
86% of the field hit the green
yesterday from the fairway.
And a nice start now at the 11th
at and with a great opportunity for
birdie to get off to a birdie birdie start.
And he did.
Well, the Greens are absolutely perfect.
You see how beautifully they're rolling.
Here's Lucas Glover at the 12th again.
One of the more difficult fairways to hit.
The first round you go from Aaron
ride two gloves.
Lucas Glover just goes oh natural.
And how about this for an approach?
Lucas Glover.
Long birdie putt for Eric Van Roy.
We saw lots of chip ins and
pitch ins and hole outs yesterday.
We also saw a lot of long putts made.
And we've got our first long
one in the second round.
At the bar 313th performed on the big stage,
he knew that he had something working.
Is now we check it at Max home at the 13th.
His birdie putt at the par 3.
Backs home. That's a great start to his
second round through four holes.
He's two under and back to even.
Here's our first look at the drivable 14th.
347 today it's going to be a little
bit more difficult to get it on
the green than yesterday when.
78% of players went for.
Holy smokes Max, was that any good?
You gotta be kidding me.
Well, thank you very much.
I guess it won't be so tough to drive about 14.
Putting up the hill,
this is going to break to the
right at the end a little bit.
Is it enough? Yes.
Gets him in the red numbers.
Over to 6 in our first look at the 6 today,
power 3252 yards.
I guess that's how you should play.
It just missed the green in
the left and pitch it in.
We've seen probably 20 pitch ins this week.
It's been amazing.
Michael Cartrude at the power 317th
playing 185 today, almost 40 yards
shorter than yesterday.
Hole cut right in the front portion.
The green green lot of water into play.
And what a terrific shot.
He was the last player to make
it in the field by a playoff.
Doesn't it feel like I mean,
we're seeing Hatton DeChambeau.
Morikawa Max Homa some of the best
players in the world seem primed today
to make a move up the leaderboard of them.
Cam Smith at the part 510th top spot,
but if anyone can do it.
It's cancer.
I finished your sentence for you.
Out here to 16 and Lucas Glover.
Fairway off to the tee.
Oh, we're just going to be handed
out birdies at 16 today.
Handed him out the back slope
and we get those tight line.
You're lifting out and you've
got to land it on about three
or four yards short of the flag.
Tricky, of course,
there you go again.
Have another try.
Yeah, meanwhile,
not a bad bunker shot to 16 and
home of your inside bunker.
That is well done from Max home.
How about a 10 Takumi Kanaya Eagle putt?
Looks good, it is good back at 16.
Bill Zala Taurus.
That is a professional golf
shot out of Zala Taurus.
He's going to look now home up
shots spun back to here.
Wow, shoots a 30 a six under par
back 9 over to the 3rd.
Johnny Vegas Jeff not making
it easy on himself.
No, you just want some nice easy
to putt files and show pots,
but he's going to be happy
with the tapping football here.
That's better.
Let's go to the first and Max home on.
600 through his first nine holes.
It was back in 2019 Vegas at the 4th.
Yep, and his second just off the green.
Not going to get there.
So Vegas will have that to save par.
Over to Matthew Pavone,
one of 70 international players
in the field this week.
A lovely play.
That one goes in out of that group.
Let's go to the 9th hole.
Aaron Rye 520 yard par 4.
How beautiful is this so good?
On a direct line.
We're at the 5th with Jonathan Vegas,
the leader by one.
Trevor could have made a lot of money
if you would have said he's low Texas
Longhorn after day one, that's right.
That's exactly right,
and that's another beautiful shot there.
It's Jonathan Vegas.
Let's go to the second and Max home.
I'm firing up the hill with his second.
What a start 30 the front 9 for Max Homer.
He's getting his game back.
Tonight.
Pavone able to get that out
beautifully out of that thick,
rough green side to secure a par.
Jordan speed.
This is a dangerous pin to go at,
but he has found it.
All that is magnificent.
He has to.
He has no option being for
far enough back from the trees
to get a bit of a break.
Nicely in the upslope set.
Save the second.
It's an excellent shot from home.
To get to 5 under. Quick.
Oh Max.
He has been in some dark places,
but what a breath of fresh
air for him right now.
Oh wow, good thing it hit the whole fancy.
Yeah, there's a lot of that around here.
Misses the whole that speed it can
get off the green at times.
Let's see if he can recover.
Yeah, that's well played,
but Homer is going to drop
one here at the part three.
So we go back out to the play at the 7th.
We're just going to bank on this Vegas.
He's going to take it on Frank.
Just 214 front had a really good lie.
Or risky. It's going to turn out well low.
The green light hole location can
land just short and bounce it in there.
And here at the bar 3 fourth
will Zala Taurus with his tee shot.
Zala Taurus fighting to get inside
the cut line and that's a good
way to try to get their beautiful
tee shot hard to control the accuracy,
but he does a great job of it.
About the green with the Clark for Birdie.
With the club, that's a nice bonus.
Birdie there gives him a little
cushion on that cut line.
He came up just short where that
grass gets really tidy and little
cushion under this one.
Couldn't have left in a better spot.
Second, grab into that upslope.
Tonight, man, this whole right here
will swallow you whole if you're not
careful in Vegas. Good news is he
missed it in the right spot.
Green to work with. Goodness.
Almost swallowed it.
That's why he's leading the
tournament right now by two.
Another part 5 or 10.
He looked in control all day long
with pucks like this when somebody
speed gets off. And he's done that
on several occasions today.
500 today, the Frenchman Pavone here
laying up with a short par 414,
taking his 80 or 90 yard shot.
And taking advantage of the
smart play off the tee.
That's sensational, that's it.
For Highsmith, who won down on.
Palm Beach Gardens.
Made his Masters debut.
Here he is in the PGA Championship.
Go in, do it.
What a shot. 47 birdies on this whole
yesterday, one of the easier ones.
How about Jordan's speed?
Not a one Shane Lowry.
For birdie on one.
Get hot with that club right there.
I'd expect to see something
in the 60s from him today.
His second. 5th.
Christian was a new and
magnificent effort there.
Donald finally dropped a shot trying
to get it back here on the part 313th.
He had strengths in his game and
he became number one in the world.
He drove it in just about every
fairway and he could handle the
putter and the third for Victor
Hovland he's worked so hard on
this portion of the game.
And he has proved a great deal.
Pay it off, get ready to go.
You just saw that Fitzpatrick
has gotten to four.
Here's how.
11 great opportunity to do that to 2.
The third shot for Luke Donald.
Luke would not have been here in two,
but well short with his third up the hill.
That's what he does best.
Gonna have some work to do.
Phil Mickelson.
Birdie putt on its way.
In a major championship.
It's been dealing with kind
of shoulder injuries.
Still a good two days off.
Here at Quail Hollow.
4th for Smalley.
Jeff, I can't think this even from the
drop area is a totally comfortable shot.
No, you don't want to be hitting
your third shot into this grade,
except for if you could do that.
20 brother Rasmus here as well.
The shot of four is dialed in.
After birdieing 14 following
the sensational drive.
McIntyre for Birdie on 15.
One under.
I don't often have hair envy.
Boy, does he go have swing at me as well?
What a great Fitzpatrick told him
or showed him you gotta get it there.
Look at that stride.
Up the hill on 18.
Make it and he does.
Both thrilled to be playing
here in North Carolina.
Another Tar Heel, Ben Griffin
at the wind down in.
New Orleans is for eagle.
Go go Carolina Lana.
How about it?
Aggressive line right at the flag.
That's good looking golf shot.
Second hole. Tom Johnson.
Who said a lot of really neat shots?
Even hung there in suspense
for a second or so.
Well, Phil Mickelson,
he has made a little bit of a move.
Still got a lot of work if he
wants to play over the weekend.
Trying to hook one in there.
Bounce right next to the hole.
Don't put it past him.
Still swinging the club really well.
Alex Norin.
Second year on 5.
Hamstring injury had him on the
shelf throughout the winter.
Played last week.
5th hole JT Poston.
Excellent shot.
Challenging.
Flagstick 30 paces back on the right.
Right on the cut line,
but as listeners to SP Podbell on
the Mount Rushmore of active flushers.
Seamus power on the T at 17.
Need some real magic on two tough holes.
Couple of bounces.
Great shot well.
He's got a pulse.
Let's go to 18 clocks.
Is 3 under?
After a perfect drive.
Staring at it up into it,
Curtis and almost a perfect second.
See what Kim's playing really well today.
He's 400 part of currently has
the best round going of any
player out on the golf course.
Re under overall one of the best
shots we've seen at number 6.
How good?
Amazing. He's had more of those
on tour than any player.
Danny McCarthy on 13 buckets.
How about it? 3 under par?
For the championship.
Just started in Millard Green and hit us
easy draw back into the back right hole
location just like that that's spectacular.
Well done, let's go to the
grand at 16 and Hoy guard.
Interesting choice of play there.
It worked the second shot on 15.
The Max Grasemann.
Need some help coming home
and that's a great start.
That'll work its way back towards the whole.
Look at that.
Tony Fina for Eagle.
It's a little bit from his right
as we've seen today.
A little bit downhill right here.
One time I get there.
Shout to my folks in Memphis.
Tony Fina where he be now right there.
2 under par.
Shots we've seen.
I think Andy, you could sort of see that
coming after the swing he made last hole.
Loosening its grasp to 16 and Sam
Burns from the fairway bunker
200 yards for the second shot.
How about that birdie at the 16th?
Let's go back to the 15th.
From up the hill off the green.
The green Eugenio Chicago.
Double bogey twice as likely on Friday.
But he knows what he needs, Curtis.
Gonna take dead aim here.
It's a hard location to get to, but.
I knew what he needed to do.
Took on the whole location uphill putt.
Not an opportunity.
Yeah, Danny McCarthy 110 to one value
play before he teed off this afternoon.
Jesse Dromer's 5th shot a moment ago.
We heard the roar.
Wonder did he go make his nose dromer?
