In this lesson, we will learn how to export 3D objects into 2D graphics and complete the drawing.
So we will perform the process of displaying a drawing to create details or displaying an assembly drawing.
We will click on New, choose Magic.
To export a 3D drawing into 2D graphics, we will use the Drawing module to create a 3D drawing.
As you can see, there are many symbols in the Drawing module.
There are two main symbols.
One symbol is the DWG tail.
This symbol is exported to the AutoCAD file.
The AutoCAD and Inventor software can open this drawing file.
The second symbol is IDWG.
This symbol is exported to the 2D file, but only the Inventor software can open it.
To make it convenient, we can choose the DWG file.
So the AutoCAD and Inventor software can open it.
We will choose ISO-DWG to open the 2D drawing.
We click on Create.
First, we will create a document.
Create a drawing and a name according to the technical requirements.
You can see in this document, this document is Sheet1.
We will right-click to create a document.
Right-click and choose Edit Sheet Name.
We can change the name.
For example, I will change the name of the document.
Size is the size of the document.
This is A3.
We choose A4.
Each document can have two types.
Portrait is a vertical document.
Landscape is a hexagonal document.
Note that in Vietnamese standards, the A4 document is only for vertical documents.
In this case, we will choose Portrait for A4 document.
For other documents, such as A3, A2, A1, A0, we can choose Portrait or Landscape.
And we also pay attention to the Orientation.
Here we have 4 choices.
This is the choice of the position of the name compared to the document.
And the correct position here is that we have to put the position of the name at the bottom and right of the document.
We will click OK to change the document.
And so we have this document.
This document is A4.
This document is a vertical document.
We can also change this document to another document.
Then we choose A3.
Then we choose Landscape.
If we want to create a hexagonal A3 document, we click OK.
With just one command, we can change the size of any document.
And in this document, there are 2 elements.
The first element is Default Border.
This is the default border.
This is the Japanese text.
And on this Japanese text, people have marked areas with letters and numbers.
Here we can change it.
But before we change it, we will delete it.
We delete it.
It won't be there anymore.
To bring it back, we will click on the plus sign.
When you open the plus sign, you will see Default Border.
This is the default border of the software.
We can right-click here.
Then Insert, Join Border.
Click OK.
The default border will be loaded into the document.
We will delete it.
We will delete it temporarily.
And we can create a simple border.
It is more suitable for Vietnamese standards.
Right-click here and choose Delete.
Next, in this document, we will also see a default border loaded.
This is a city with a default name of Iso.
We will right-click here and delete it.
It will be deleted from this document.
However, it is still a city in the software.
In Title Blocks, when you open this plus sign,
we will see a city here, which is the name.
We will right-click and choose Insert to hide it.
However, to design a new name for Vietnamese standards,
we will click on Iso and right-click and choose Delete.
Now we will create new drawing frames.
First, to create a new drawing frame,
we will click on Borders.
Then right-click and choose Define New Border.
We will draw a new drawing frame.
Of course, we will use Japanese font to draw.
And we will draw a Japanese font of any size.
We don't need to draw a Japanese font that matches the size of the document.
If so, it will be very confusing.
And for each document from A0 to A4,
we have to draw a Japanese font that matches the size of the drawing frame.
We will not do that.
And we just need to draw a drawing frame and apply it to all documents.
By the way, we will determine the size of this drawing frame to how much paper.
Here we will use the Dimension command.
We will determine the size from the left edge of the drawing frame to the left edge of the paper.
We will set it to 20.
And the remaining edges from the drawing frame to the edge of the paper, we will set it to 10.
For example, the edge above this with the edge above is 10.
The remaining distances we do the same.
We set the size of this edge to this point is 10.
And then this edge to the last edge of the paper is also 10.
In this step, we will have a drawing frame that can be applied to all documents.
After we have finished drawing the drawing frame,
we will click on Finish Get and name the drawing frame that we have just created.
For example, here I set it to KPV drawing frame.
Then we will click on Save to save to this drawing frame.
And you will see that in this Borders section, we will have 2 cities.
The default borders is the default drawing frame.
And there is one that we have just created.
That is the new drawing frame KPV that we have just created.
We will right-click on KPV and select Insert to add a new drawing frame.
This is the way we build a new drawing frame
to make it more suitable and neater than the default drawing frame of the software.
Next, we will draw a new frame to match the Vietnamese standard.
We will go to Title Blocks.
I will right-click on Title Blocks,
then select Define New Title Blocks.
Here we will have to use the 2D drawing commands in the Sketch content
to draw a new frame.
That frame has content that meets the Vietnamese standard.
To save time, we can copy a frame that is already available in the AutoCAD software.
We will copy that frame and paste it in the Inventor to create a new frame in the Inventor.
To get a frame that is already available in AutoCAD,
we can use Insert in AutoCAD and select the frame that we already have.
This is a frame that meets the latest Vietnamese standard.
We will use this frame, copy it and paste it in the Inventor design.
We will use Ctrl and V keys to paste it.
We paste it in any position.
We don't have to put it in the lower right corner of the paper.
We paste it in any position.
When we paste it in, we have a frame that meets the standard,
as well as frames with the correct size.
However, we can still modify it to make it look better and meet the content we want.
For example, here I see this frame, after pasting it,
this word is a bit stiff.
We can make this word look better by modifying it horizontally.
We can also modify some of the content.
If this word is stiff, we can make it horizontal.
About font and how to write Vietnamese in Inventor,
you can choose some fonts here.
You can use Tahoma, Vietnamese 7284, or Chinese.
However, I think this Vietnamese 7284 font is very beautiful,
so we will use this font.
To write Vietnamese in Inventor,
we will open a Vietnamese writing software.
Here I am using Unikey.
I will put the code as Unicode and the style as Telex,
the code as Unicode and the style as Telex,
then close it.
If you have turned on the Vietnamese writing mode,
the software will display the letter V.
If not, it will still be letter E.
Note that when we turn on the Vietnamese writing mode with Unikey or Unicode,
the default language of the system must be English.
If you do not change the default language of the system to Vietnamese,
it will display the letter V.
But we have to leave the English language.
For example, here I will change this fan to a gas cylinder.
I will turn on the Cup Lock mode.
Then I click OK.
Next, I will put the letter Nghia here.
You can also change the content of it to match the drawing you are designing.
Click OK.
Some other content we will do the same.
Here I will quickly do some other content.
We will fix it again and again.
To fix the content in this file,
you can rest assured that we only need to do it once.
Just the first time.
Next time, we will use the file we created to continue the drawing.
You don't have to do it again and again to build a new content or drawing frame.
Now I will turn all the letters here into English letters.
To make the letter soft.
If you copy a content and it has incorrect letters,
you will have to fix it again and again.
I will fix all the content in this new frame.
So that it is a horizontal letter and does not have an incorrect letter.
So I have fixed the new frame.
It has a horizontal letter and I have changed some of the content.
Here I notice some of the main content in the frame.
It is the name of the detail in the position O.
This detail is in the product or the assembly part.
I will write it in this position.
The designer is your name.
Some other important content.
For example, the size of the drawing compared to the object.
After I have fixed it, I will click Finish Sketch.
And I will name the new frame.
I named it KT.
You can name it as you like.
But we need to name it to make it easier to remember.
Save.
Then we can fill in this new frame.
We right-click on the word KT.
Then click Insert.
So we have just created a new name frame.
And we just filled it out.
And now we have a drawing.
It has a name frame and a drawing frame.
It is more reasonable and meets the Vietnamese standards.
It is what we want.
Next, we need to save this drawing into a standard drawing.
At this point, this drawing is still not a standard drawing.
Because we still have to install many other things.
For example, the font, the text.
I'm sorry, the text, the lines.
And some other installations.
However, for now, we will turn this drawing into a template.
So that next time we don't have to draw the name of the drawing.
Then we will save it.
Ctrl S.
We will save it.
Not by using the jwg file.
But we will have to save it to another file.
If we save it to jwg in a normal format.
It will become a drawing file.
Here I want to click on New.
If we click on New.
The new drawing will appear at the position of the drawing module.
So we just need to select it.
Then we will have the name frame and the drawing frame that we have created.
To continue building the drawing.
For example, here I have a name frame created.
I know the word created is strong.
DWG.
To do that.
We need to save this drawing.
To the template in the Inventor.
Save it.
I will pay attention to the guide.
I will click on any drawing.
In here.
And I will save it to the template guide.
At the position here.
That is UC User Public Documents.
Autodesk Inventor 2022.
And Templates.
You can write it down in the paper.
Then we will save it according to this guide.
Here I press Cancel first.
Press Ctrl S.
We will proceed to save according to the guide.
That I just guided.
This is UC.
Then we go to UC Public Documents.
Autodesk.
We will choose Inventor 2022 according to the guide of the link.
Then we will choose Samples.
Sorry, not Samples.
Here it is in the Templates section.
Sorry, I will put it in the Templates section.
Continue to open it in this NUS section.
In Magic.
We will go to Magic.
Here we will save.
Save its name.
For example, Vietnamese standard.
Vietnamese standard.
Click Save to save.
Then we will turn it off.
I turn it off.
Here we will open New.
In the Join section, create 2D graphics.
Create a 3D graphic design.
We have just created a new graphic, TCVN.
We will click Create to continue to create 3D graphics into 2D graphics.
That's it.
We only need to do this graphic design once.
We will save it temporarily to the Templates section.
We will continue to use it next time.
Later, you will learn some other settings.
For example, setting for writing, setting for writing, setting for writing,
setting for writing,
We will save it to a new standard graphic.
It's better than this graphic.
For now, we will only do it to this level.
Unlike in Autocad, we have to design a lot of standard graphics.
Corresponding to each paper.
For example, A3.
For example, I open an Autocad graphic.
In Autocad, when we open a new graphic,
we usually have to design 2 papers.
A0 has to be horizontal, A1 has to be horizontal, etc.
However, in Inventor, we don't have to do that.
Because when we need to change the paper,
from A3 to A4, etc.
From horizontal to horizontal, etc.
We only need to use this standard graphic,
and we only need to add a very small step.
That is, we will click on this paper,
and choose Edit Sheet.
And we change the size of the paper to Size.
And set it to horizontal or horizontal in the Project or Landscape section.
For example, here I just need to change it to A4.
And for horizontal, it's done.
We already have an A4 horizontal graphic.
We don't need to create a lot of standard graphics
corresponding to each paper.
