Creating a festive and cozy home for Christmas for my family while I get things done.
Grocery deal and haul, non-toxic and money-saving ideas to create a festive atmosphere at home.
What's new in my studio?
Small gift idea and many more. Stay until the end to see them all.
I love Christmas decorations that are easy to store but they make a big statement and I also
have a love for houses and I made so many paper cutouts but this one is even more practical
because it's stick to the window it's easy to pull them off and put them on and since the design
was for a bigger window I had to do some adjustment which was very easy to do. I just cut
off some of the hoses and I just started on the next window. Another reason why I love to decorate
the window in the kitchen because it's not gonna be in the way as I'm cooking and baking. It's
gonna be festive from the inside and from the outside as well. Since it's the weekend I'm
cleaning out the refrigerator and all the leftover turned into something new and this was a chicken
soup leftover. It was a whole chicken breast that was pushed around. I added some carrots and
gelatin and such but I will be posting them very soon because I find somebody who can fix my website
so I will be able to post again very soon probably after January or so. I had lots of
zucchinis from Costco and they started to go bad so I turned them into a cheese. I will have the
recipe down below in the description box. We are causing up by the fire and I'm going to continue
the Christmas decoration. The candles are turned out to be too thick so we have to adjust them.
Continuing the window decoration. That sheet got me. I just couldn't separate them. Either it wasn't
cut through entirely or I was peeling on the wrong side. I don't know. But anyway I still
have plenty of trees left to decorate with. That window itself makes me feel like there is a snow
storm outside so I really like it. As I was cleaning out the refrigerator I realized I have lots of
mushrooms that needs to be used right away so I thought I'm just going to dehydrate them so it
will be handy when I need them and I don't have to use them up all at once. I really love the shiitake
mushrooms and the trumpet ones. Adding some food grade silica packages and seal them with a vacuum
sealer. The parsimons are on sale at H Mart so we're going to stop by there.
Back at our warm home and I got some kiwis, shiitake mushrooms and this is Zsolt's favorite
canned sardines. It's in tomato sauce. These are the best tangerines ever. They are super sweet.
More mushrooms. Carnival grapes. They have a very unique taste and super sweet. This is a
back scrubber and I like to use this as instead of the sponge as I wash the dishes and I can cut
it into three pieces. The only sponge I like to buy this very thin almost see-through very light
scrubbing one. This too is a staple in my kitchen. I've got some cute bags that look like a jar. I
have a plan for that as a Christmas present. I got some rice pasta, roasted chestnuts, chestnuts
that needs to be cooked, enoki mushrooms, rosemary and of course the parsimons that we went for. So
one bag was one dollar. This whole entire bag was one dollar because they are not perfect
and we're okay with that. We're going to put them into the freezer.
This is the same pattern that I like to buy for the kitchen for years and I have a different one
that is for the bathroom but I love how it foams up all the detergent and it gets dry in about 10
this type of tangerines that has a leaf on it. They kind of on the softer side. They are very
sweet. We love this type of tangerine. Recently I watched a video on how to get your dishes very
clean with the dishwasher and one of the tips is to clean the filter very often and also before you
start your load you have to have some warm water in the pipes. Hand washing some pots before I turn
on my dishwasher because the water that it goes into the dishwasher at the beginning the rinsing
cycle that needs to be hot in order to dissolve all the grease and if you haven't had any hot
water used recently then cold water will go in there and the dishes will stay dirty.
As for the parsimons we're going to wash them very well. Chop off the top part and then just
cut them in half and we're going to freeze them and we're going to use a spoon just to scoop out
the inside once we are ready to eat them. Packing orders with Zsolt for a little bit. I'm going to
add some personal touches. We also ordered some washi tapes again and these are a much bigger
size and they work differently. It's not the same that I ordered previously so
I'm not going to list them I don't know but it's a different kind
it's more shiny and I have the butterfly keychains back in stock.
Restocking the butterfly keychains now in three different colors.
As the holiday season approaching I have more cooking and baking so I'm not going
to have that much time to create so I am going to clean up all this creative mess here
and I will get back to it in January but I don't want to leave this mess behind here.
These bags I'm going to use them as to create a very simple gift for my friends and the people
that I don't want to get a big gift and this is an excellent and cute way to give them some
loose leaf tea because I think they look very cute and it looks like it's in the jar.
It's an early morning making breakfast. I have some discard from my sourdough starter
and I'm going to try to create a muffin with that and I'm going to add some pumpkin as well
and pumpkin spices and just to see how and what I can create with that.
Feeding the sourdough. This is the morning when everybody leaves at a different time
so we are all over in the kitchen.
A quick reset in the bedroom and today I'm planning to decorate this room a little bit
for Christmas.
I'm going to grab some branches quickly before the rain arrives and I'm going to create a garland
that it's very light and easy to make. Whoa that rain came really fast I just barely put my feet
in here. My favorite greenery to decorate with would be the cedar because it has a long lasting
life and it smells amazing and it's very easy to create things with that. So now I just want to
have a very light garland. I don't want anything that is bulky so I just had this idea to
use a stapler to connect them and that made me decide not to use the stapler.
Two fingers I've got staples in there it was so painful and yeah I'm not going to use that.
I'm just gonna go with the old-fashioned way using a little bit of a wire. I need some tape
to fix that on the bed and I remember I saw it somewhere. I find it. Should I leave this mess
or clean it up? Let's clean it up first and then I will tape the garland to the bed.
Okay I'm on the roll. It's not that bad I don't know why I was procrastinating.
Okay here comes the fun part. Now I'm going to fix with some washi tape or I don't know it's
just a tape that you use when you paint the wall but it's kind of a similar color than my bed so
it will be perfect for that. I don't know how practical this ornament will be there
but I will give a shot.
Adding a few pine branches to the jar and then I will hide this in a basket. You can do this
with other things like I do with a lantern.
The next garland will go in the windowsill and I'm going to use a tension rod.
Rotating the housework with some fun decoration. I don't buy scented candles
but this one works even better. I like to use some pine branches,
cranberries, oranges, any apples will do it. I picked a pink rose I think that's how it's called.
They look beautiful so it's going to be a nice addition. Cinnamon stick,
cloves, a few cedar branches.
I found this beautiful glass dove at a thrift store years and years ago and I'm just adding
So I'm going to add a string light. This is from Ikea I bought it a few years ago.
Adding some cedar branches it's going to smell amazing when I sit in that chair.
This string light has a wire base so it's very easy to decorate with that.
The craft party that I want to do for my friends. I'm still brainstorming and I think I'm gonna go
with this project because I have these little houses and we can just turn it into a gingerbread
house with some chalk marker and I think it's easy to do. I saw a cute project on Instagram
and she made that look so easy so I tried to make a little Jesus in a nutshell and
that was actually harder than I thought and we would be limited with tools so I don't think I'm
going to do this with my friends on the craft party. When my friend was traveling she bought
me this lava salt and I looked into that it has so many benefits. It's so funny lately I'm getting
so many salts from my friend which I love so much. I think it's so genius, it's so useful
and unique. I'm going to fry a couple of lotus roots because this is what I'm craving.
