Hey art friends! We're so excited to draw with you again today. We're live aren't we? Yes. Yes,
yesterday we pre-recorded but today we're live. Are you excited? Yeah. What are we going to draw?
A cherry. Two cherries. Two cherries. Yeah, but before we do that we need to spotlight one of
our awesome art friends. What's her name? Marley. Marley and she did a great job drawing. What did
she draw? A grill. Yeah, she drew a really awesome grill and it's also on fire, kind of like the one
and what's your favorite part about her drawing? The little girl in the background. You like the
little girl in the background. I love the background. She did such a great job and all
of our art friends that entered the challenge did awesome. We love looking at all of your guys'
drawings. Marley, great job. Congratulations on being our lucky art friend today to be spotlighted.
I love the marker. She used marker to color everything in. Okay, you ready to get to get
started? Yes. You got your marker? We hope you guys have a marker or something to draw with.
You don't have to use a marker, right? You could use whatever. You could use a pencil if you feel
more comfortable drawing with a pencil and also you need some paper and what's over here? Some
table. Coloring. Yeah, there is a table there but also some colorings.
All right. Yeah, I was pointing at the table. Now we hope you guys are going to follow along with
us. If you're just joining us, you don't have your art supplies ready. Remember, you can always
pause even the live video and rewind it if you need to. All right, you ready to start? Yes. We got
both cameras going. You're excited for live. It's your favorite thing to do now, isn't it? Yep.
All right, let's start. We're first going to draw. We're going to draw two cherries and we're also
going to use the word overlapping. We're going to use that to make our drawings look more 3D.
We're going to draw one cherry in front of the other. Okay, so the first cherry we're going to
draw over here on the right and we're going to start by drawing. Watch this. It's a little
tricky but it's not too bad. We're going to start. It's going to look like we're drawing a circle.
Okay, so we're going to come around like this. Oh, I'm drawing it really big but watch this. When I
come up to the top, instead of connecting, we're going to go back inside and then curve up. There's
our cherry shape. Is that cool? So just like you're going to draw a circle but then right at the end,
curve in and then back up. I want to say hi to all of our art friends. I'm going to try to
keep an eye on our comments too so we can answer some of your questions. Unique Love said, I need
paper. That's okay. Don't panic. Don't panic. You can pause the video and you can start the video
back up once you have paper. All right, and Morgan Eli said, I'm a huge fan of your channel. Thank
you. That means a lot, Morgan. Okay, are you ready to draw our second cherry? Okay, now we're going
to use overlapping so we have to imagine the cherry going behind the other cherry. So we're
going to start right next to it like this. Watch this. We're going to curve around
and then we're going to connect back in to the other cherry but we don't want to keep drawing
through it. Okay, so it's almost like the letter C. We'll start right here and we're going to draw
a curve that comes around and connects into the cherry. Oh, Bodie Dunn asked us to draw a cruise
ship. That would be really cool. Let's see. Can you draw the Incredibles 2 logo? That would be
way fun from Kendall. Would that be cool? Yeah. You're excited for that movie, aren't you? Okay,
now we're going to draw the top of our cherry on our second cherry. So we're going to imagine this
line going behind the first one we drew and it's going to curve up just like we did on the other
one and then back in. Look at that. We drew the same, repeated that same step. Yeah, you did it.
Now this is called overlapping. This cherry is in front of this one so it makes it look more 3D.
That's pretty fun, huh? Now let's draw the stems to our cherry. Okay, we're going to draw a curve
that comes out of this one. Watch. We're going to curve up and then we're going to curve back
down to connect them both. How does slime say, Hi, I love you guys. We love you too.
Someone said they're left-handed. That's okay if you're left-handed. I think it's awesome.
Adriana said that. What's the name of your site again? It's artforkidshub.com. Yeah. Okay,
what are we missing on the top of our cherry? The leaves. The leaves. Let's draw one leaf. We're
going to draw a curve that comes out of the top. Then, if you want, you can just draw a simple
curve back but I'm going to draw a little trickier. I'm going to curve. I'm going to
make an S curve. If you want, you can just curve. Oh yeah, tricky, huh? That is tricky.
You did a great job. All right, now let's draw our other leaf. We have two leaves for our two
cherries. We're going to repeat the same step but this one's going up. Draw a city. That dope
vlogger says draw a city. That would be cool. Draw a city. If you're an art club member,
we have some really cool member lessons on how to draw in perspective and we did a city with that.
You did? Yeah, it was way cool. I did it with Jack. All right, you ready to finish your leaf?
We're going to draw another. I'm going to draw another S curve and then connect to that.
Can you draw a wolf? We have a really cool wolf. Oh, Christy says your nails look pretty,
I think your nails look super pretty too. I like the color. Okay, let's draw the inside of our
inside of our leaves. We're going to draw one over here and another curve
on each leaf. All right, what's our funny cherries missing? A funny face. Yeah, funny face.
Okay, let's first draw the funny face on the right way. I'm going to draw two circles.
Austin, it's the first one that did that funny face thing. Yeah, and then now we do it all the
time. He did it on the taco one. Was that the first one you did it on? Yeah. Okay, now we're
going to draw a smaller circle inside of the little one. Yeah, I got a really small and then
we're going to color in the big circle but leave that little one white and that makes the eyes look
shiny. We like making our eyes look shiny and friendly. I love how small your eyes are. Okay,
now let's draw the mouth. I'm going to draw a little curve and you guys can use your imagination
to draw your funny face any way you want. You don't have to follow along with us on this part
if you don't want to. That's a really happy cherry. Then I'm going to draw my mouth kind
of to the side and color that in like this. Then I'm going to give them little eyebrows
and then let's add a funny face to this one too. This one I'm going to draw. This one's a boy. This
one's going to be a girl. So they're like buddies. Oh, big eyes. I like that. Big eyes and little
eyes. I'm going to draw that little light shine in there too. Yeah, just like that and then
color in the big circle. I'm going to add eyelashes. This one's overlapping so I'm
going to imagine the eyelashes are behind this other cherry. Alana says, I love the smile on
your heads. Can you draw a family? That would be awesome. From Kaylin, love you guys so much. You
are the best. That's from Sade. Thank you so much. That means a lot. You guys leave the nicest
comments. Draw a Fortnite battle bus from Aaron Voss. Okay, that's on our list. I'm working on it
though. He loves Fortnite. I'm going to try to make the battle bus really simple. So I'm working
on that and we'll do it soon. I promise. A flying bus. A flying bus, yeah. Okay, I got to add the
little smile to mine. Okay, we're done with our cherries. What should we draw next or what should
we color? What should we do next? You said it, color. I said color. Okay, we're going to use red
and green. I have a dark red and a light green and we're using our Prismacolor colored pencils.
Now let's color in our cherries. But one thing we could do to make our cherries look shiny,
just like we did with our eyes, we could draw a little circle up here at the top
and that's just, it's exactly, it's on the same side that we did on the eyes. It's kind of like
a balloon. It's just like a balloon. Anything that's shiny, you can add a reflection, a highlight
and that will make it look shiny. So while we're coloring it in, I'm going to see if I can answer
a few more comments. Can you draw a cartoon teacher? We have. That's from Chris. We have
drawn a cartoon teacher and Shayla says, cute cherries guys. Thank you. Oh, someone says they
bought the same colored pencils that we did. That's Bodie. That's awesome. I bet you love them,
Bodie. They're my favorite colored pencils ever. I like other ones too, but these ones are my
favorite. I always say that. Favorite colored pencils. All right. We don't use oil pastels
anymore. Yeah, we don't as much anymore and it's because I think we have too much fun drawing with
our colored pencils. We still love oil pastels and sometimes we do because they're really fun
to blend. I love blending with the oil pastels. All right, let's see. Can you draw yourself? Yeah,
and that's some, I just lost who said that. No, we haven't. We've drawn Olivia as a baby.
Well, we haven't drawn the rest of the family and we need to do that. I think that would be
way fun to draw each of us. I draw you and then you draw me. Yeah, well, I think we would do a
whole lesson just on drawing you. We do a whole lesson just on drawing Jack and me. Yeah, that'd
be fun drawing me. We could draw a black hat and a Sharpie. I'll go like this. Yeah.
Let me sweep your drawing. All right, let's see if we can answer a few. Draw more Fortnite. We
will. Luke says, draw more Fortnite. And then, yeah, someone already asked, Pug Gaming asked
if we could draw a Fortnite bus again. We are. We're going to draw a Fortnite bus, I promise.
And the whole family, J&S Productions said, can you draw the whole family? Something's
clicking over here. I don't know what that is. Yeah, we're going to draw our whole family. That
would be way awesome. And you know what? I think we're going to draw tomorrow is Solo. Han Solo.
That'd be fun. Cartoon Han Solo, because I got to go see that movie. I'm so excited to see that.
All right, we're going to keep going. I'm going to try and draw this or finish coloring this
really quick, and then we'll answer some more comments. I'm going to put another reflection
over here on this, on the second cherry and color that in. Color it in, except you don't
want to color in that reflection. Yeah. Highlight. I almost did. Did you? Yeah. Uh-oh. Hads, you're
almost done with school. Are you super excited? Yeah, we only have like one more day. One more
day. I know you're way excited. Today was like, it was your field day and a fire truck showed up.
And squirted us. Yeah, it sprayed. Yeah, it was all over. It was huge. Did it knock you over?
Almost. Almost. Well, kind of. Kind of. They shot it in the air. Shot it into the air,
so it was more like it was raining. Yep. And then did you guys do water balloon
tosses and stuff like that? No. No? I thought I saw some. Well. No. We did this sponge game
where you toss sponge over your head that are like soaking wet and then you have to squeeze it.
Oh. And try and fill it, fill up the bucket or the bowl fast. Cool. What are you most excited
about for summer? Swimming? Yes. And maybe like playing with my friends. Playing with your friends.
And drawing. And drawing. Me too. I'm super excited for swimming and drawing. Swimming and drawing.
I know. All right. I'm going to answer a few more comments here. Let's see.
What pencils are those? These are Prismacolor colored pencils. We love them. And I've got
links in the description below this video where you can go over to Amazon and purchase the exact
same one. So be sure to check out those links. That was from, I didn't see who said that, but
can you draw Luke Skywalker? We have. Oh, when he's old. That was from Elizabeth Lautner.
When he's old. Yes. That would be way fun. We got to draw him when he's old. That would be,
that's a great idea. We've got Luke Skywalker when he's young.
My grandpa and grandma live in Michigan. We used to live in Michigan. That's from Riley.
Can you guys draw Bullet Bill? I don't know who that is. We'll have to look that up. Mount Rushmore.
That would be cool. Who else? Can you draw a giraffe? That's from Julianne. I think we,
we have a giraffe lesson, except I think it's one of our member lessons at artforkidstub.com.
Okay. I'm going to color in the green really quick. I'm using a super bright green, but I'm
going to add some shading too. I'm going to see if I can shade it in really quick and then I'll
answer some more comments. What else are, what else are you excited for, for the summer?
Ending school. Ending school. I thought you loved school. You love school, but towards the end,
you're ready for the break, right? Yep. Can we be done with school now? Can we be done?
Yes. And I think we should go, we should do lots of fun things during the summer,
like go on hikes. Oh yeah. Go camping. I've never went camping. You've never been camping?
Not even in the backyard? No. I've never taken camping? No. Uh-oh. But I have.
Okay. Now I'm going to add a little bit of shading. So I got a dark green.
I just colored the leaves with the light green. I'm going to add a little shadow right here
behind this one. So this one, this is going to make the leaf look like it's even further behind.
So our leaves are overlapping. Our cherries are overlapping. Everything's overlapping.
Everything. That's our secret word for today. So overlapping helps our drawings look more 3D.
There we go. Look at that. More shading makes it look even more 3D. I'm going to add a little
shadow on this part too. There we go. And I want to add some shading to the cherry.
I'm going to use black. I'm not going to press very hard because I don't want it to look too
dark. So I'm going to press light right down here at the bottom to make it look more round.
There we go. You like shading too. I know you love it. There we go. And then another thing
we can do, I'm going to add a little black on the bottom of this cherry. Just like this. And I'm
going the same direction as the cherry too. I'm not going up and down like this. I'm going with
the shape of the cherry. And that'll make it look more round also. And also go back over your
shading with the same color. And that'll smooth out the pencil marks. Look at that. Look how
smooth it is. That's a magic secret. Don't tell anyone. Just tell art friends.
Yes, you want to add some shading? Yep. Thank you for asking politely.
There we go. You know, one last thing I like to do also is go around. Sometimes I like doing this
to the cartoon drawings. I like going back around everything with a little thicker line. Just on the
outside. Okay, let me see if I can answer a few more comments and then we'll be done.
Yeah. I hope you guys, we hope we didn't go too fast for you guys. What do you want? Black? Or
add some shading? Or you got to color in the inside of your mouth too.
Elena says your cherries look so good. Thank you. Let's see. Who else? Oh,
Christy Blatto says Drac or Mavis from Hotel Transylvania. That would be cool. I really
like that movie. That was fun. Can you draw realistic Rottweiler? Is that like a car or
that's a car? No, it's a dog. Oh, you're gonna draw a Pokemon.
You draw Mufasa from the Lion King. That's from Orchid Valley. That would be way cool.
We got to draw a cartoon version so we can draw easier for our young art friends.
That one's super excited to be a cherry. I'm going to go around the outside
and then we'll be done. There we go. I'm going all the way around. You almost done?
Yep. Did you add your shading? Almost. Oh, you're doing a great job. Okay,
keep shading and then I'll answer a few more comments. Draw Seattle? That would be, oh,
we could draw the Space Needle from, I think that's what it's called, from Seattle. It's that
tall building that goes into the sky. Draw a bear or a teddy bear. We have a really cute
teddy bear drawing. You can do a search on our channel. Yeah. Can you draw a boat? That would
be awesome. Draw Thanos from The Ugg. Do more origami. We are checking out some cool lessons
to do more origami. That'd be way fun. Somebody also asked to draw a tiger.
Draw the robot from Lost in Space. Is that the new robot or the old robot?
Someone asked from Lost in Space. That's a cool show. You did a great job. You know what you
could do? You could smooth out your, you want to smooth out your shading really quick.
Add a little red and watch how smooth it gets. Yeah. Is that cool? Sorry, I hit you with my hat.
Boop. Draw a Dabby and stuff. We could draw a cat Dabby. That would be funny. Jack's t-shirt.
Ballet shoes. Have we done ballet shoes? Long time ago. I think we did a ballet girl.
And we did a ballet girl. DIYs and more says ballet shoes. Oh, that would be really cool.
We should do ballet shoes. I think we actually did do ballet shoes. I think we did. We might
have, but it was a long time ago. If we did it a long time ago, we didn't color it.
Adley, give me five though. You did awesome on your two little cherries and I love that you
changed them and they look different, right? They don't look exactly the same and that's okay
because the most important thing is to have fun. Yes, to have fun and to practice. Now we're not
completely done, right? It's challenge time. We need to challenge our friends. What should we
challenge them to do? To their drawings, to finish it. Add another fruit. Another funny fruit. There
it is. There's your challenge. Add another funny fruit and you can use that secret word overlapping.
See if you can try and use that again on your drawing. Maybe you could overlap a banana behind
the cherries. We hope you guys had a lot of fun following along with us. Now parents, also be
sure to take a picture of your of your child's artwork once they're done with the challenge and
post it to Instagram and use the two tags at Art For Kids Hub and what's the hashtag? AFKH. AFKH.
It's all smooshed together. Challenge. AFKH. Challenge. That keeps all of the pictures
together on Instagram so it's easy for us to find them. Yes. Did you have fun drawing cherries?
Did you have fun drawing with our Art Friends Live? Yep. We'll see you later, Art Friends. Goodbye.
