My Story | Mike Bloomberg

There once was a boy with big dreams who lived in a small house. His family didn't have much, but they had a lot of love. The boy grew and grew, but then one day his father passed and his mother went to work to support them. From there, he always remembered what his parents taught him. Work hard and treat people right. He started his own business from scratch and began working for causes he believed in. Then, just two months after 9-11, he was elected mayor of New York City. He brought people together to rebuild and led the fight for cleaner air, better schools, and safer, healthier communities. He supported the arts, created new jobs and stood up for equality and tolerance. Then he started a foundation that is working on all of these causes around the world to help people live better, longer lives.
