was out of breath poppy was taken to the hospital and she recovered within 24 hours although her parents realized something was wrong two days later she had severe hypoxic brain damage according to of another baby whose unusual circumstances forced doctors to get creative megan and eric are a north carolina couple and when megan was five months pregnant things began to get complicated she had situation also compelled the doctors to go above and beyond to care for her her doctor stated that even the diapers they have for the smallest babies were too big for her so they had to get creative in order to care for her nevertheless her parents perseverance paid off in the end fate weighed five times her birth weight when she was allowed to return home isn't that incredible she has not only grown but she can now recognize her parents voices megan's excited to finally meet her daughter she stated that she'd like to know who she is she's a fighter and was so excited to see what awaits her defect when she was four months pregnant this however does not deter joanna and her husband they threw a baby shower and decorated the baby's room their baby would not survive according to the doctors they also advised her to have an abortion joanna is a christian and her faith opposes abortion she believes they gave it to her for a reason and it was up to him whether or not to call her home she she was diagnosed with congenital heart disease after having two holes in her heart she also had a slew of physical issues she had her first open-heart surgery at the age of six days she requires oxygen 24 hours a day seven days a week she's fitted with a pacemaker and one side of her heart is smaller than the other claire is on eight medications that must be taken four times per day and she's a sassy fighter despite her numerous health problems she survived her first christmas and it was especially meaningful for this couple who'd been told their daughter would not be born to watch their daughter have fun in the snow she was enthralled joanna described her as constantly smiling clara's parents have learned to enjoy every moment as she continues to defy the odds despite the fact there devastating news when they went for their ultrasound their baby was diagnosed with a cystic hygroma a fluid-filled sac that causes a blockage in the lymphatic system doctors were concerned that he her breathe and eden's malformation will be surgically removed this is the story of a world record breaking child's birth beth was five months pregnant when she went to the hospital for a urinary tract infection however the obstetrician informed her that she was about to go into labor she had to call her husband to get him to help her pack because beth was only 21 weeks pregnant doctors told her that her baby had no chance of survival this couple on the other hand was defiant and they were not giving up on their child they both stated that this was not an option beth explained that she knew she had a chance and the couple made the right decision in moving forward on the other side richard beth's son was born prematurely and weighed only 0.31 kilograms beth and her husband were finally able to meet their son after the medical team spent four hours stabilizing him she recalled how small he was he was actually no bigger than her hand this little man has made it through his birth he's a fighter and he'll triumph says bat richard was on a ventilator for two months and in the hospital more than six months before being charged and he still required supplemental oxygen at the time despite his health issues richard is still alive and well and he defied the doctor's predictions by making it to his first birthday richard and his parents were pleasantly surprised to learn
