5 FUN FACTS ABOUT ELECTRICITY ⚡️

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel and today I'm going to be sharing five fun facts about electricity. Fun fact number one, there are two types of electricity, static and current. Static electricity is when electrons build up on a surface like when you rub a balloon on your hair and then the balloon sticks to the wall. And current electricity. Current electricity is what flows through wires to power devices. We use current electricity in our home and in the streets and every day. Onto the next fun fact about electricity. Electricity travels at nearly the speed of light. Electricity moves incredibly fast. Almost 186,000 m per second, which is the speed of light. That's why when you flip a switch, the light turns on immediately. Onto the next fun fact about electricity. Copper is the best metal for carrying electricity. Most electrical wires are made from copper because it allows electricity to flow easily. Silver and gold are even better conductors, but they're too expensive to use in everyday wiring. Smash the like button if you learned anything about electricity so far, cuz I have another fact. Some materials stop the electricity from flowing, like rubber, glass, plastic. These don't let electricity pass through them. These materials are called insulators and they help protect us from getting electrocuted. That's why electrical wires are covered in plastic. All right, got one final fun fact. The human body uses electricity. Your brain sends tiny electrical signals through your nerves to control your body. That's how you can move your muscles and have feelings. Without electricity, your body wouldn't work properly. I hope you learned something today when it comes to electricity.
