Hey everyone, welcome to the channel. We are so excited to take you on an unforgettable journey
through the stunning landscapes of the South Island of New Zealand, home to more sheep than
people. Yeah, seriously, I think they're planning a takeover. Kia Ora! This is our first day in
But first, we're gonna have breakfast. Happy tummy, happy activity. Let's go! Let's go!
We stumbled upon this charming little cafe right across from our Airbnb.
We stayed in a room near the airport, absolutely a gem with killer views of lake and mountains.
Talk about the perfect spot. And then we're set off for our first adventure.
We couldn't resist a quick stop at Great Glacier View.
And wow, what a sight. Glaciers everywhere and we were completely speechless.
Next up on our trip was Glenorchy. And you bet, we headed straight to the iconic red shed. It's like
a big red beacon of awesomeness that draws you in. You can't miss it. It's a hot spot for
Instagram-worthy photos. Don't miss the chance to snap a selfie with this iconic red gem.
We did a quick stop here in Isengard Lookout and I believe this is where they shot the intro to the
Lord of the Rings Twin Towers? Two Towers. I could be wrong though. This is where I think
Gandalf was running on the start of that. Or maybe on that side. Not sure but this is very cool.
The driving experience in the South Island is nothing short of amazing.
No wonder why vloggers go crazy shooting driving videos around here.
It's a picturesque backdrop that's just begging to be filmed from behind the wheel.
And that's when we spotted this sign right there on the roadside.
This wasn't part of our planned itinerary but had always been on our bucket list.
That's awesome. Boy you're so handsome.
Hello.
Day two was a wild road trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound.
We embarked on an epic 300 kilometer journey
through stunning landscapes. Buckle up for the adventure.
And then this happened. Oh my.
Oh my. That sight was pure heartwarming goodness.
We've been driving for two hours. We are going to Milford Sound. Pio Pio Tahi. He's excited.
We arrived at the parking area, went straight to the terminal for check-in,
and locked in our spot on the 1pm cruise. Also lunch was part of the deal. Sweet.
With our bellies full and feeling all snug, we made our way up to the roof deck to soak in the
breathtaking beauty of Milford Sound. The view of Milford Sound was like a postcard from Mother
Nature herself. It was so ridiculously gorgeous. They don't call it one of the unofficial wonders
of the world for nothing. This place is so stunning. It could give those official wonders
a run for their money. We scored this awesome lunchbox with a map of Milford Sound.
Looking like a map straight out of Middle Earth.
En route to our next Airbnb, we made a spontaneous pit stop to say hi to this adorable little fella.
After an hour of drive to Tianao, we couldn't resist taking a break to stretch our legs.
And behold, this mesmerizing sunset.
We crashed at Tianao Lakefront Backpackers for a night,
soaking up the cozy vibes and enjoying the lakeside atmosphere.
We're here in Tianao and this morning, it's just amazing. We see amazing things every single day
here in New Zealand. This is the lake in front of our Airbnb and it's awesome. So we have a long
day ahead of us. Now, let's hit the road. Next up, Arrowtown. It's a solid two and a half hours
of driving away, or possibly longer, thanks to the mesmerizing landscapes along the way.
We've arrived in charming Arrowtown and our first stop is the historic Chinese settlement.
This place is a time capsule. You should visit this place if you love history and of course, selfie.
I think winter transforms this place into pure magic.
It's like stepping into a fairy tale wonderland. Don't just take my word for it, see it with your
own eye. Arrowtown, where charm and history collide. It's a small town with a big personality.
Food time! Let's grab a bite before our last adventure for the day.
Arrived in Wanaka just before the sunset and check out this famous Wanaka tree.
It's like the superstar of nature, standing tall and proud in the middle of the water.
This bad boy knows how to steal the show with its epic views.
Lakes Edge Holiday Park in Lake Tikapu was our cozy hideout for two unforgettable days.
It had the perfect mix of relaxation and astonishing views. Bliss!
Morning! This is the day that we're going to Aonaki, also known as Mount Cook. Are you excited?
We are so excited. This is the day. The road to Mount Cook was so amazing. We had to pull over
for some epic photo moments. It was like entering a picture-perfect dream. It was gold.
We swung by the information center to grab some hiking treats.
Gotta keep those energy levels up for the epic trek ahead.
The trek started off easy but within minutes, bam! The mountain's stunning view slapped us in the
face, leaving us in complete awe. Talk about a grand welcome. The views fueled our hike,
keeping us mesmerized and motivated every step of the way.
Past the third swing bridge, a few more minutes and ta-da! We arrived at the lake.
The journey paid off big time and the beauty of the serene waters made it all worth it.
Time to soak up the tranquility. Post-hike, our growling stomachs led us straight to the
Hermitage Hotel for some much-needed grub and drinks. We feasted on huge burgers and sweet
desserts to refuel and celebrate. The hotel was a cozy haven, offering comfort and relaxation
while the cafe served up delicious treats and delightful ambience. Back on the road to Lake
Tekapo with another breathtaking sunset painting the sky. The perfect farewell to an unforgettable
day. Across our hotel was the Church of the Good Shepherd. We lingered until night, captivated by
the crystal clear skies. Perfect for stargazing under the stars. After yesterday's adventure,
we were feeling a bit worn out so we opted for a more relaxed day today. Instead of hiking Mount
John, we decided to drive up instead. Hey, sometimes you gotta choose the easy way, right?
Astro Cafe boasts one of the most epic views of Lake Tekapo you can find. My camera simply
can't capture the true splendor of Lake Tekapo. It's unbelievably blue and vibrant, so stunning
that it seems digitally enhanced in real life. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to have brunch
at this spot. Gotta make the most of it. We treated ourselves to their signature Astro Pancake and a
mouth-watering Salmon Toast. Trust me, it was a taste bud party. As much as we'd love to stay longer,
it's time to hit the road back to Queenstown. Our remaining days in New Zealand await us there.
And a quick snowy road stopovers. Couldn't resist the winter magic.
We've arrived back in Queenstown, and you know what that means? Time for more delicious food.
We had dinner at I Love Kimchi. Not just because BTS ate here,
she's a huge fan by the way, but because the food was absolutely delicious too.
We snagged a spot at Quest Queenstown Hotel for the rest of our QD stay.
It was our personal vacation HQ, where chill vibes and comfy beds rule.
This day takes the cake as one of our all-time favorites in New Zealand. We had a mind-blowing
experience with an absolutely insane view. The onsen hot pools took it to a whole new level of uniqueness.
Oh boy, let me tell you. It's like soaking in a slice of heaven. Steaming hot water,
stunning mountain views, and pure relaxation. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this
little slice of paradise. We spent the rest of the day wandering around Queenstown,
and guess where we ended up? Ferg Burger. Yep, we couldn't resist having it again for the second time.
Spoiler alert, it was just as amazing as we remembered. Surprisingly, there were no lines.
We quickly got our hands on their legendary burgers. The onion rings? Meh, nothing special.
Queenstown though, that is something really special. Exploring Queenstown was absolutely
amazing, and adding a little sweetness to the mix made it even better. We couldn't resist trying out
Patagonia Chocolates Ice Creamery. They had an incredible array of desserts and drinks to choose
from. Plus, the second floor view was simply stunning. Could be a great spot to watch the sunset.
And how do you wrap up a New Zealand adventure in style? With a frosty toast, of course. We chilled
at the Queenstown Ice Bar for an epic experience. And boy, was it an unforgettable blast.
Sipping drinks in a minus 10 degrees? Totally mind-blowing. And these ice sculptures? Talk about
next-level craftsmanship. By a Filipino sculptor, by the way. From the icy creations to the icy
cool vibe, everything was freezing awesome. Well, almost everything, except the floor. Thank goodness.
We were still buzzing with energy after an hour at the bar, so we thought, why not try something
different? We headed to Sundeck. Excellent views, a cozy atmosphere, and an awesome selection of
drinks. We sank into the comfy seats, sipping on our favorite cocktails and feeling the warmth and
coziness surrounding us. What a night to remember.
As our time in New Zealand comes to an end, we're at a loss for words. This trip has set the bar
high for our future adventures. New Zealand has exceeded our expectations in every way.
And we're already planning our return. We've only scratched the surface of this incredible country.
And we can't wait to explore more in a different season. The memories we've made here will stay
with us forever. We appreciate all of you for tuning in and joining us on this incredible
journey. We'll see you in our next adventure. Bye!
