Trump Turnberry.
One of the best golf courses in the world and that is a fact.
Today it's the host of a brand new episode of Break 75.
It is special.
One of the best golf courses I will ever get chance to play.
Okay, eagle putt.
Right guys, the sun is out.
I'm here up in Scotland at Trump Turnberry.
It's hosted the Open a multiple amount of times,
but today is the host of a Break 75 episode.
It's me and actually Guy's joining me today as well.
What's your goal around this incredible golf course?
I don't even know other than just to have fun and see.
I've heard like you said it's one of the best golf course on the planet,
so I can't wait to see what it's got to offer.
There's some iconic holes.
You've got the lighthouse which has been redesigned recently
and it's the halfway house which I think I'm more excited about that.
Let's play well, enjoy.
Yeah, I will.
Positive vibes only today.
Only smiles, birdies and no doubles.
All right guys, I'm excited about this one.
Par 4, 402 yards.
I'm gonna do a bit of voiceover for the first couple of holes
because as you'll see, it didn't quite go to plan.
This was a perfect tee shot though.
This certainly wasn't.
Guy not only took one but two to get out the deep rough and find the fairway
and then his fourth shot, nice wedge into the heart of the green.
My second shot was hit well,
just slightly pulled and found the back edge of this bunker which made it difficult,
thinned it through the green,
chipped up quite nicely actually,
but my bogey attempts was a little bit weak and I tapped him for a double bogey.
Guy ended up making a seven.
Terrible start for both of us.
Second hole, 375 yard par 4.
I pulled mine a little bit left off the tee.
Guy hit a nice tee shot.
We're just warming up on these couple of opening holes.
I find front bunker, another bunker, one of many this round of golf.
Splashed it out and I've got this long range put for a par
which unfortunately just slips by.
I'm now three over through two.
Terrible start.
Guy is more than that.
I think he's four over through two.
Normal golf resumes here on the third,
but believe me, the golf gets much, much better
as does this incredible sunset here at Turnberry.
Third hole par 4, slight dogleg right.
Just got to find fairway.
Let's see if we make a par.
Just the scenery is honestly,
I think tonight is going to be a real special night.
I've currently not got the feeling in my bones
that anything special is going to happen.
However, it doesn't mean it won't.
It's that lynx flight again, a tad left.
It's in between the bunker and the gores.
Okay, let's get this show on the road.
There we are.
That's a really nice drive.
The show's on the road, Rick.
Yep, perfect.
Yeah, I'm happy with that.
Now just to warn you,
the first two holes are possibly the,
and I think it's a fair description,
the most land.
Okay.
After that, it gets better and better,
better, better, better, better, better.
I'm looking for a new favourite golf course.
Currently, it's North Berwick.
So far, this has got potential to be it.
It's right up there, honestly.
Okay, 135 yards, just in the wispy stuff,
but I've actually got an unbelievable lie.
I'm going to go with that pitching wedge,
but flight it down again.
See if I can hit it slightly better than I did on the first.
Stick one close, make birdie,
and then we're back in the game.
Kick, get a kick right somehow.
Might be all right, that.
Came out lovely.
Just pulled it a fraction.
All right, Rick, how close do you want it, son?
Let's do 10 feet, please.
10 foot coming up.
120 yards, wind into the teeth.
Good strike.
Coming back closer.
Yeah, 12 feet.
Yeah, 12.
Bare numbering it, 10's a bit light,
12's a bit more realistic.
Okay, long-range birdie putt,
but one that I actually fancy.
Not a lot of break, downhill, then back up the hill.
How did it go left at the end?
That was a great putt.
That was a phenomenal putt.
How did it go left at the end?
I didn't want to say anything
because I don't want to do that thing where you jinx it.
Yeah.
Wow, birdies.
Three foot out, that was in the middle of the hole,
and somehow it's finished a foot to the left.
However, it's a par on the card.
Well done.
Take the small wins.
Yeah.
Okay, this is nice.
This is very nice.
Fourth hole, par three.
We get close to the water's edge here
and it's just absolutely stunning.
I mean, we've picked a great time of day
to come play this golf course.
It's nearly 6 p.m.
It just looks absolutely phenomenal.
Right, par three, 186 yards.
I'm going to go seven iron
and just stick it on the green.
Good swing.
Oh, it's going left.
Do not go in the bunker.
It's over it.
It's over and it's kind of kicked off the back of the bunker.
We're doing good for distance,
just like they got a little bit of a left in me today,
just a straight left.
Okay, seven iron for me as well.
No par today, so this has got to be a two or a four.
Oh, there we go, there's the four.
Get over that big sand dune.
It's on top of it.
Okay, not a bad shot really, in a weird way.
It just hit the back of that bunker
and it shot right down here.
Nice lie, little hump to get over.
Let's get this up and down.
Yeah, nice chip.
Good for distance.
Okay, for par, straight up the hill.
Oh yeah, nice.
It wasn't sure.
It was wanting to slip away, wasn't it?
Thanks, pal.
Okay, a couple of pars on the card.
Helps the campaign.
I think there's a brute of a hole coming up next.
Fifth hole, par five, 500 yards.
All the fives.
Straight down there, a couple of bunkers to avoid.
I think it bounced over the bunker.
Okay, this is a par five, isn't it?
Par five, let it rip.
Okay, a good drive here, it should be.
It's not a long one.
If you get a good drive here,
you'll have a six iron into the green.
Oh, it's a bit pushy.
I should actually, it opens up, I think.
Yeah, should be fine.
Nice.
Okay, after just pulling it into the rough,
I've actually got a great lie.
Again, I can see the top of the flag.
233 yards, downwind.
I'm going to hit a five iron.
Hopefully land it about 200 yards
and run it the rest of the way.
Carry.
I think it might be a bunker left.
I might have found another bunker.
Nice five iron to here, pin high.
I just don't like how it's sat.
And anything that goes right
will go right down to the front of the green.
So I'm going to put it, keep it left side of the flag.
Anything going right is going to be game over.
So if anything, pin high left is a good result here.
It didn't go the way I expected.
Great for speed.
Okay, birdie chance.
One putt.
Oh, nice.
Keeping the pars off the card.
We don't like pars around here.
Well, if nothing else, I've had a birdie, so.
Keeping the pars off the card, right.
To join you with a birdie.
A little left to right down the hill.
The boys are back in town.
Easy.
Nice.
Birdie, birdie.
Yes.
Buggy cam's back on.
Smiles are going.
Get the two birdies on the scorecard.
That was needed.
That was nice.
You know what though?
Those little things put a little spring in your step, don't they?
I think it's the reveal of the next hole
that's going to put an even bigger spring in your step.
Oh, I'm excited.
Okay, sixth hole, par three and a little dinky one off the tee we're playing off today.
135 yards.
Pin is in the front right corner.
I mean, it's middle of the green and just hope you get lucky.
Oh, I mean you can go straight at it and see what happens.
Pitching wedge?
Yeah, pitching wedge.
That's a strange follow-through.
Was that intended?
No.
Little cricket shot to the heart of the green though.
That's how tag would have played it.
Middle of the heart of the green and two putt.
A bit safe.
Yeah, just felt like it was going to go left on me, so I tried to salvage the follow-through.
I take it that wasn't a full one then?
No, it wasn't actually, you know.
Right, I'm going to go absolutely for it and if I end up messing it up, so be it,
but you're only here once.
I'm going to pull it left.
That's going to be big and rubbish.
Oh, that's okay.
Yeah.
Okay, big long birdie putt here on number six.
Just sweeping off the left-hand side majority of the way.
It's pacey.
Okay, I don't think I quite realised how much downhill that last putt was.
Let's try and sweep this one in.
Frustrating three putt that.
Oh, very frustrating on such a short little dinky hole.
Just hit my first putt way too hard.
Nice, your first par.
First par of the day.
Oh, that feels nice.
Steady the ship a little bit.
What a golf course, though.
This is just phenomenal.
I can't wait for this halfway hut.
I've heard big, big, big things.
Okay, this is a great par five, I believe, Rick said.
It is.
Seventh hole, just over 500 yards.
Dogleg left.
Rip one.
Can we get over all this stuff then?
I think you can, yeah.
Yeah, that's a nice ball.
Got bagpipes playing in the background too.
Perfect.
Literally at the monument.
Okay, same as guys.
If that's pulled off, that'll be massive.
I think worst case, it'll be in a bit of that rough.
Okay, we've made this par five seem very short.
Granted, it was downwind.
We've hit two really good drives.
I've got 150 yards left of the pin.
Pin's at the front.
Just gonna hit a nice little nine iron.
Stick it close.
Nice eagle bounce back and do the job.
Sounded thumped.
Get off it, wind.
Oh, it's fed in nice.
That did.
We've got a nice little putt for eagle coming up.
Okay, eagle putt.
Can't remember the last time I had an eagle on the channel.
It's been a while.
Let's knock this one in.
Downhill.
Not a lot of break in it, but just four and a little bit left all the way.
Just got to get it rolling.
Have the legs, have the legs, have the legs, have the legs.
What a putt.
End over, end over, end.
That's what I'm talking about.
I've got one over now.
That is...
I've had a double, two bogeys.
That is grinding.
Well done, mate.
That was a great putt.
Grinding for this round.
Okay, I'm going to try and join you on the grind.
Not quite as big of a bird, but still a bird nonetheless.
Come on.
Guy.
Still a par.
Okay, eighth hole is just dogleg to the left,
but the fairway kind of cambers to the right.
So it's a really hard fairway to find.
Kind of go land it left side of the fairway.
I'm going to go three wood.
Go up the bunkers and just draw it off those bunkers a little bit.
Uh-oh.
That's a bit left.
Might be okay, might be in trouble.
It's not on the beach, but it's heading that way.
Okay, you're going to go up the left side.
A little bit of cut.
Try and bring it back, but just give this one some absolute beans.
Well, that's a bit too much.
Blocky, cutty, nonsense.
It'll be fine, but just a very tough fairway to hit.
Okay, I found my three wood in the rough up on the hill here.
180 yards away from the flag.
160 to the front.
I'm going to try and rifle an eight iron there.
Oh, come on.
Bounce nicely for him.
I don't want it to bounce too much, I don't think.
I think you do.
That's nice.
That should come back a bit more.
Yeah, you take that.
Yeah, I think we're putting.
Just off the back of the green here.
Little shoulder to get over there.
It's going to fall to the right and it's slightly uphill.
I'll take a two-put par here any day.
Not hit it.
Oh, I didn't hit it.
Oh, just came off the face.
So weak.
Sounded dead.
Yeah, really misstruck it.
Okay, Shields.
Bad first put.
Really bad.
Let's see if we can salvage a par with this put.
It's pretty much dead straight up the hill.
Oh, I thought it was going to be a last roller again.
That was so weak.
On two.
Is it that good?
I'll let you decide.
Okay.
Excited.
It's a perfectly manicured strip of walkway.
Try not to look too much.
Don't spoil it.
And then as you get round here.
Oh my days.
Wow.
What do you think?
That is just insane.
And no word of a lie.
Oh my days.
I'm sure I just heard like a dolphin like blowhole.
I'm not, I'm not joking.
Oh my days.
This is why I don't care what I shoot today.
This is just absolutely insane.
How good is that?
Oh my days.
So this is the championship tee.
The normal tee is back there.
This is quite scary.
We're not going off this one are we?
Yeah, of course we are.
Oh my god, that's scary.
It's like 248 yards.
Wow.
How good is that?
Okay, I don't think there's any point to narrate this whole.
We'll just put a drone shot up already because it's just insane.
So I'm going to hit a golf shot.
240 yards, par three.
Stick it close.
I nearly shanked it, but it's safe.
I think.
Yeah, it's safe.
Okay, little three iron, just right side of the flag.
Oh, Richard.
Oh, be nice ball.
King Richard of Turnberry.
I love it.
That's a great shot.
It's getting better every second.
It's getting worryingly good.
Is it getting better or is it getting worse?
It's getting to the wards to hold, but it might be going long.
But hey.
Okay, so guys, just having a quick look for his.
I've hit mine all the way to the back of the green here.
I just had too much club.
I could have hit actually four iron.
An interesting putt from back here though.
Be nice to get two putts from here.
Great putt.
For a minute.
For a minute, I thought that might have just got there.
Nice shot.
Very nice shot.
Take that from there.
Okay, for par here on number nine.
Rammed it in for par.
Let's go and get some scram.
Steak pie.
I've got cauliflower soup, hot dogs and I've got fig mayonnaise sandwiches.
I'll have a hot dog and a sausage roll, please.
Perfect.
Yes, please.
I'm not mustard.
Sorry, just catch up.
What's with the egg timer?
Ah, that's a good idea.
Why not?
Oh, that's my type of ketchup.
Yes.
I'm having a hot dog and a sausage roll.
I've not had a hot dog for, I've not had a sausage roll for months.
But when you're here, you cannot not have a sausage roll.
Wow, look at this.
This has to be the best halfway house in the world.
Okay, here we go.
Quite possibly the best lighthouse halfway house in the world.
I have missed the sausage roll, that's for sure.
Okay, hot dog.
It's good, but I'm sausage roll through and through.
After our little pit stop there at the most incredible halfway house,
we hit the back nine and we've actually come back off the back T's here on number 10.
It's a par 5, 550 yards and just look at that for a view.
The actual green, like it's just right on in the corner down there.
You're Bryson.
I mean, it looks 900 yards away, doesn't it?
We've got a photographer in the middle of the fairway, which is not one of our guys.
We'll just let him pass and then hit anywhere to the right where Scotland is.
See, I think that's lovely.
Safe and a nice bounce to the left.
Yeah, I got it.
Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
Yeah, it's pretty good.
I think you can chew off more, but not, that's nice.
I could feel those sausages.
Right, yeah, no, absolutely.
The sausage roll and the hot dog.
Having a party.
Yeah, good ball.
Very good ball.
Right, let's go and rip up this back nine.
I'm two over after the terrible double bogey start.
I've had two bogeys and an eagle, so I'm still two over.
Guy?
I'm seven over, which isn't great, but after that start, take it.
Still, I'm trying to break 75, you're trying to break 80.
Five.
See if we can rip up the back nine.
Second chance is par five, 230 yards.
I'm just on the downhill of this little knuckle on the fairway.
The one time I hit the fairway and I've got, I've got a bad lie.
It's going to come out low, therefore I'm going to hit four iron.
I could probably hit five, actually, but I'll hit four
and just try and hit a little drawy one in there.
Oh, that's a good shot.
Feed up there.
Oh, it's done just what you, they're not drawn.
Stay there though, that's unlucky that from there.
Oh, that was a bit of luck actually.
Did you hit four, did you say?
I hit four, but it was there, obviously I was really on a downhill.
Okay, so up to 225-ish.
Try and do a similar shot to Rick, just miss that trap though and get it close to the hole.
Oh, that's a career strike.
Bounce left.
Oh.
Bit big.
It's gone big.
He's hit well though.
Okay, a little chip on to this par five, but I know we're repeating ourselves quite a lot here.
I'm just breathtaking this scenery, it's insane.
We're back to the job in hand.
54 degrees, just nudge on to the green and let it feed in, hopefully.
Oh, it just took a bit of a checky bounce.
That's a shame, that was struck well.
Okay, just found the bunker on the right.
I mean, just a beautiful shot.
Just got to splash it out, top of the hill, let it roll down, stick it close.
Oh, that was unlucky.
Just needed like three foot more.
Okay, after, I don't know, a slightly underwhelming bunker shot.
I've got this for birdie, up the hill, right to left.
This would really make me happy if this dropped in.
How did it not break?
Oh, how did it not break?
Such a good putt.
In for five, in for a par.
Yes.
Nice putt, mate.
That's got to be the best birdie cinematically I've ever made.
Very nice, well done.
Okay, look at this, it just keeps getting better.
11th hole, par three, 180 yards, just again, hugging the coastline.
Beautiful.
What an evening we've had it, got it on as well.
Carry that bunker.
It's like I'm well short.
Really, really, really short.
I didn't catch it great, but I didn't think it was going to be that short.
Wow.
That's horrendous.
Okay, so as you can see, I found the beach, I hit that so badly.
We've got to splash this out.
Go hard.
Oh, yeah, just a bit.
Is it done?
It just stopped really quickly, it's about 40 foot short.
Okay, long range par putt now.
After a terrible tee shot, not a great shot from the bunker, from the beach, this for par.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Good putt.
Good for speed, I thought it was going to start dropping right.
Yep.
Oh, yeah, better than you thought.
I think it is.
I knew it was going to be really good because it's ranked so high.
Normally in that situation, things can't quite get to that expectation.
This has exceeded, I'll be honest, so far anyway.
Unless it goes massively downhill, which I don't think it will,
it's going to be the best course I've ever played.
Yeah, the remaining few holes, we move away from the sea a bit more,
but the holes are really interesting.
In fact, I think the 16th is probably the most interesting links hole I've ever seen.
12th hole, straight forward par 4.
Just hit it straight.
Straight is your only option, pal.
Well, try and actually fade it, but get it still down the middle of the fairway.
Yeah, really good drive.
Thank you.
Great shot.
It's also A1.
And hit.
Yep, two nice drives.
Let's try and make a bogey from there.
Okay, two nice drives down the fairway.
I've got 120 yards left in.
It's a nice gap wedge, stick one close.
Three over par now.
I'm going to try and break 75.
No more shots can be dropped.
Let's see if we can pick a few birdies up there.
Be the right distance.
It's going to go, is it?
Yeah.
What did you actually hit then?
It's like a gap wedge.
It was meant to be full, but I kind of like...
It's getting quite chunky ones.
I didn't think that was.
You look like you got a bit here with the follow through.
I don't know if you did, but...
Yeah, it felt a bit like I'd taken too much turf, but it didn't feel like chunky.
Okay, we'll see what Rick did there.
I think there's a bit more wind up there than we're probably thinking.
And also, we've not really played wind into for a few holes.
So, I'm going to come up a little bit and go for like a softish pitching wedge.
That's a similar-ish thing.
I've kind of hit it a bit fat.
Literally next door to each other.
Got away with it a bit, but that was also a bit poor.
Okay, bad, bad, bad shot there from me and Guy, to be honest.
We were...
Speak for yourself, mate.
Aren't you that class?
Up the hill, I'm going to put it.
I'm sure Guy's going to wedge-y magic it.
Correct.
Up the hill, over to the left, drop it in for Bird.
Oh, he's gone for the Shield's wedge.
He's gone for it.
Nice shot, mate.
Thank you.
Very, very well done.
Very professionally done.
Surprised that didn't run out a little bit more.
Okay, little chip in Bird.
It'll be lovely.
Oh, son of a gun.
You did call it.
Son of a gun.
Didn't see that break at the end.
Nice, well done, mate.
Are you six over?
I think so.
Yeah, well done.
Oh, no, seven, six or seven.
Seven.
I told you, were you not seven after nine?
But then I bowed with the last.
Oh, yeah, sorry, yeah.
13th hole, 380 yard, par four, elevated tee with the wonderful backdrop again.
Three bunkers protecting the left, a huge big sand scrape protecting the right.
Another fairway needs to be found.
Just like that.
Maybe a tad too much.
No, it's perfect.
It's definitely not too much, it's perfect.
No, it's perfect.
Yeah, I'm just going to go bullet straight to that end bunker.
Not feeling a shape today.
That's going to do nice, I think.
A bit more, a bit more, a bit more.
Oh, that's annoying.
Right, I found a lot of bunkers today, a lot.
And this one has really punished me.
I'm 130 yards away.
It's landed there, a yard away from being on the grass.
But this bank is so kind of rugged and tall that I'm just going to have to splash it out.
Another bunker down there, which obviously I need to avoid.
And see if we can get up and down for par.
Oh, no, Rick, that's a massive mistake.
Not in the other bunker, but I'm going to be stood in it.
That is a massive mistake.
I was trying to get over that bunker.
OK, great tee shot, very happy with that one.
It's left me 111 yards, so not too dissimilar to the last hole,
which I made an absolute nightmare of.
I'll just try and do a bit of a better job.
Oh, it's so much out of the toe, I might get away with it.
If it goes...
No.
I'm doing the hard work, I'm hitting good tee shots with quite tight fairways and thick rocks.
And then putting shots like that nowhere near.
Inexcusable.
Right, that was absolutely the worst escape shot ever.
Although I'm not in the bunker, I'd probably rather have been in the bunker
because it's right on the edge.
I'm literally going to have to be stood like this.
Honestly, OK, I'm going to go with like a nine iron,
grip it right down and just like chip it down there.
Terrible mistake.
OK, need to get this up and down.
Nightmare hole.
I'm going to try and use my putter this time.
No need to chip this, it's a bit silly chipping this.
See, that was a bad putt.
But probably as close as a half decent chip would have been.
OK, bogey putt here.
Oh, not a bad effort.
What an absolutely ridiculous double bogey.
Puts me in a real awful situation now.
Nope.
Nah, sliced it again.
You need to stop slicing putts.
Five.
OK, par five coming up.
We need to bounce back straight away.
Birdies.
OK, 14th hole, par five, but straight back into the sun.
It's beautiful, but it's going to be hard to see the ball.
I'll keep an eye on this guy.
Thank you.
Yeah, I think it's feeding towards that bright trap.
It might sit down.
Yeah, should be fine that.
Wasn't a very good hit at all, but you can try and hit it above the sun.
Oh, that looks nailed.
It's right over that middle trap, so I think there's nothing else to seal.
Then just hope that's perfect.
Should be good.
Yeah, that was hit well.
Hits it above the sun.
We need an eagle.
Just try and whack one up there, advance it up the hole.
That wasn't quite what I wanted to do.
OK, after a really good drive, we've got 200-ish yards to the pin.
The pin's right up on top of the hill there.
Straight back into the sun.
So there's a cloud right up into the distance up in the sky, obviously.
I'm going to go for that above the sun.
Oh, pulled it a bit.
Oh, it's just fed into that trap.
How many bunkers have I found today?
Need to splash it on that hill and let it swerve back round.
Oh, it looks...
Oh, it's just fallen down the slope.
Need to get over that hill.
OK, come on, Rick.
For Birdie.
Up the hill, not a lot of break.
Really need this after the double on the last.
Yeah!
Bounce back a bit later.
Just what the doctor ordered.
A little bird.
Tweet, tweet.
Too many times.
Two off.
OK, we've got four holes to play.
I think there's no more par fives left.
Just one par three.
The rest par fours.
OK, 15th hole, par three.
Another gorgeous hole.
180 yards.
Sun's going down pretty fast.
Right, nice solid six iron.
Does it actually stop there?
Yeah.
You said you've been in a lot of bunkers, so it's a golf.
God's letting you off.
Right, five iron.
I'm going to go one more club.
I'm going to stiff this.
When I said stiff, I meant fat, but I might be all right if it gets there.
Go!
It's done all right.
Yeah, it's done OK.
Let's go.
OK, somehow I've avoided the bunker for the first time today.
But this is an interesting shot.
I've got to go up onto this top of this hill and it's just going to roll right down
and hopefully nestle nice and close.
It's gone down the spine of it.
Oh, how's it not got there?
I'm not sure I could have hit it much harder.
You want a par?
I give you a par.
Just got it back to four over.
Don't want to be dropping one straight back again.
It's always missing right.
Oh, bad putts from there.
Bad putts from there.
Right, back to five over.
I'm not doing myself many favours.
16th hole, par four.
420 yards.
Good drive needed.
And good drive delivered.
It's perfect.
Thank you.
Yeah, lovely.
Lovely.
Two good hits.
Yeah.
OK, really unique green this.
Anything short right has got a potential of rolling down the hill into like a
into a water hazard, which is very unlike Lynx golf.
So you've got to be left side of the pin and pin high, guy.
OK.
Hope it's coming up.
You ready?
You said short on right in the water, didn't you?
That might be right of the water.
You might have a really interesting chip coming up.
OK, 180 yards, five iron.
Again, just pin high left.
I'm five over.
Three over gets me in under 75.
So I've got to birdie two of the last three holes.
Should be good for distance.
Good strike.
Great hit.
Yeah, solid.
Nice.
Part of the green.
It's all I could do.
I need to make two birds in the next three holes.
Got a gun, knock that one in.
It's come out hot as anything.
Oh no.
I struck that lovely as well.
Slow.
Oh, that could be in the pond.
Holy moly.
It's still going.
No.
Oh, flipping heck.
Right, come on.
A nice birdie up the hill.
It's gone the other way.
OK.
This guy's still counting.
17th par four, tough one, long one, into breeze.
I need birdie, birdie finish to break 75.
Let's rip one down there.
It'll be fine, it's just up the right.
A little slidey one off the face, annoyingly.
There'll be people watching this video now laughing at what I've just done,
but I bet you can't do this.
Nice.
OK, I'm going to rip this new kind of strong four iron.
Four iron, aka three iron.
My new four iron.
Spec.
Right, solid four, solid three.
I've got a front row seat to witness this, Rick, so give me something.
Oh, hello.
Hello.
Go.
Hey, that ain't bad.
What a day, what a day, what a golf course.
Perfect weather.
I'm a bit annoyed about the two double bogeys that I've had,
but I've also had an eagle and a few birdies, so.
Take the rough with the smooth sometimes.
I'd like to knock this one in for birdie and birdie the last to shoot 74.
That'd be the goal.
Oh, well in, mate.
Oh, I see he got the minerals.
He put the M in minerals.
Last hole, 18th, not an easy one.
Tough one, straight back into the breeze.
Nearly 500 yard par four.
Got to just rip one down the middle.
Longest drive.
I've got to make eagle to break 75.
So, yeah, longest drive.
That was a weird flight.
Where's it gone?
It's gone like high and right, but it should be either in that trap or in play.
Like, it's fine.
Right, here we go.
Let's see a bomber for the last hole.
That was a similar thing.
Towards the white, big white post.
Oh, is it? That's bad.
Right, okay.
We've hit great tee shots here.
We've got this amazing view, 190 yards to the pin.
It's wind into the face.
It's got to be played low.
It's a chippy, punchy four iron number.
Our cameraman will just feed it in.
No, I've just cut the arse off it.
From the putting green, I think.
Let's watch the real man do it.
I'm going to go with my strong four iron, basic three iron, 190.
Do you think I need all this?
Er, no.
I think if you're hitting it low across the floor, it's going to run like crazy.
I was thinking about sending it up to space.
Oh, now I want to see a chip and run it.
I'm a bit confused now then.
No, just chip and run it.
This club though?
Yeah, that club, half swing, dead arms.
Just chip and run it.
Like I did.
No, I'm going to hit a really high one.
Make it land with soft feet.
Big high draw.
Oh, it sounded great.
Did what you did.
Massively right.
Release.
It's an easy game.
I don't get what all the fuss is about.
Little ball that's not moving, hit it to the hole.
Big wow.
Right, let's stick one close as well.
Well, that could be all right as well if it has a bit of a bite now.
Oh, stop it.
Do you like them?
Where did the little bit of munch come from?
Don't know actually.
Little bit of munch out of the thick grass.
Right, let's knock it in.
Enough tomfoolery.
Par on the last.
Very nicely done.
For a 76.
Five over par.
Yep, very tidy.
Good golf.
I felt some good, bad and ugly.
And a bad handshake to finish.
Thanks for watching guys.
Be sure to like and subscribe.
That was Turnberry.
Quite simply one of the greatest golf courses in the world on an epic evening.
Hopefully you enjoyed.
Regardless of the golf, hopefully you enjoyed looking at this spectacular golf course.
We'll see you next time.
Do a bad handshake to finish.
