Tired of paying for Microsoft Office?
Don't like being stuck online just to
use Google Docs? Well, what if I told
you there's a free app that gives you
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint without
costing you a single scent. In this
video, you'll discover Only Office, a
clean, powerful, and 100% free Microsoft
Office alternative. Let's dive in.
Welcome back to the channel. If you're
new here, don't forget to subscribe for
more tech tools, tutorials, and software
tips every week. Today we're taking a
deep look at Only Office, a free open-
source office suite that's surprisingly
close to Microsoft Office. The software
has been out there for more than 15
years and has grown into a full
Microsoft Office alternative. Now, it's
grown into a full Microsoft Office
alternative used by over 15 million
people worldwide. It's open- source,
free for personal use, and works
offline, but it also offers cloud-based
tools for teams and businesses. We'll
cover both in this video.
Let's start with how to download and
install it. Step one, go to
onlyoffice.com. Step two, click on
download. Step three, choose desktop and
mobile apps. Now, select your operating
system, Windows, Mac, or Linux. For this
tutorial, I'm going with Windows. The
file is around 250 MGB. Once downloaded,
just run the installer, click install,
and you're done. No login or activation
needed. Once you open only Office, it
feels instantly familiar. That's because
it's designed to look like Microsoft
Office. You get a ribbon style menu,
clean icons, and a modern layout. From
the main dashboard, you can create text
documents,
spreadsheets,
presentations, PDF/able PDF forms, all
from one app. No need to install Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint separately. Let's
break down what you get. Document editor
like
Word. Spreadsheet editor like
Excel. Presentation editor like
PowerPoint. PDF editor. You can now edit
and format PDF files directly thanks to
the built-in PDF editing
tools. You can save or export your files
as
docs.xlsx.ppptx.pdf and more. That means
your documents are fully compatible with
Microsoft Office. And yes, it works 100%
offline. No internet needed. Want more?
Only Office includes powerful plugins
like an AI assistant that lets you
connect with popular models such as Chat
GPT, Gemini, Deepseek, or even your own
local model. You also get tools like
translate with deep

lsaurus, YouTube
embed, and a speech to text tool for
easier transcription.

It's perfect for writers, students, and
small businesses. Now, let's talk about
cloud
collaboration. Only Office Workspace has
officially been replaced by Only Office
Docspace, a modern platform built for
secure document sharing, and real-time
teamwork. Docspace introduces something
called collaboration rooms, customizable
spaces where you control exactly how
others interact with your files. Whether
it's view only, comment, edit, or fill
forms, you set the rules. It works
directly from your browser or you can
even host it on your own server for
maximum privacy and control. Here's what
Docspace includes. Realtime co-editing
of docs, spreadsheets, presentations,
and forms. Custom access roles like
view, edit, review, or form fill.
Version history, document locking, and
secure file sharing. Integration with
cloud services like Google Drive,
Dropbox, and One Drive. Whether you're
working with a team, students, or
external clients, Docspace gives you
flexible, secure collaboration without
the limits of traditional cloud tools.
And yes, it's free to get started. It's
like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365,
but much cheaper or even free for small
teams. Docspace works with tools like
Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive,
WordPress. You can also install extra
plugins to extend features as you need
them. Only Office is great for students,
freelancers, remote teams, small
businesses. If you're looking for a
reliable, free alternative to Microsoft
Office, Only Office is one of the best
options out there. You get full offline
editing, modern design, strong
compatibility, and optional cloud tools.
