Hello, I'm Captain Curry. I'm a navigator on the C-130H.
My job on the aircraft is to facilitate taxiway airlift and airdrop.
We manage the flight programs, flight system, navigation of the aircraft, of course, airdrop and fire drops.
My career started with me getting interested in aviation.
I got my private pilot's license. I decided I wanted to fly for the military.
I joined the Guard by researching units, deciding I wanted to fly on the C-130H model,
and the Reno Guard picking me up as a navigator.
Eight years ago, I've been doing this for eight years now.
I returned from training flight school in 2017, and I've really enjoyed my career so far.
And I direct your attention now to center and slightly to the right.
As the four World War II aircraft you saw take off earlier approach us.
At the top of the Q&A, the Hopper Sea Fury features an 18-cylinder Bristol Centaurus engine.
I like to go fast, sometimes too fast.
And now it's night.
Hey, it's the pilot and commander of the F-35 Demo Team.
I just want to wish you good luck, and I hope you become a pilot one day.
I'm Major Wolf. I fly the F-35A model.
I heard you might be interested in joining the Air Force, so it's an awesome job,
a great opportunity to go pay for school or get to fly cool planes or have a variety of other different jobs.
But if you're worried about your hair, they just released the new regs,
so you can put your hair in braids, ponytails, whatever, have shorter hair.
So I'm sure it'll be even more relaxed once you join us.
Hello!
Let's hear it for our chief pilot!
I'm on the F-35.
One, because I'm the commander of the team, so I'm the boss, and that's pretty cool.
But also I get to fly by myself, do all the tricks and stuff.
But it's cool to have a whole team of pilots, too.
All right. That's what I'm talking about.
It goes super fast. It's pretty fun to fly.
When I first wanted to fly, that's when I realized I wanted to be a fighter pilot because I wanted to go fast,
and I wanted to be in the military, and now I am. And I love it.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Blue Angel Delta breakout!
and I'll see you at the Nellis Air Show for Aviation Nation. Thank you!
Okay, you have a good one. Did I give you... I don't know if I gave you a pin already.
Did I give you one? Okay, cool. Just wanted to make sure.
Awesome. Well, maybe I'll see you next year here.
I won't be in the 12 uniform, but I may be here, so...
I take photos.
Yeah. Cool. Awesome. Thank you for everything.
Here, I'm going to write... Actually, if you want to turn around, I'll write on it.
Yeah.
You start out as being in the air, of course. There you go.
Okay, cool. I can do these.
Oh my gosh. Thank you so much for coming out.
It's just for you.
Nice to meet you.
Thank you for coming and spending your Saturday with us.
I hope you had fun.
That's exactly what that is. So I get to pick it up and the whole aircraft would hear me.
These are our life vests for any passengers.
These are just storage. Nothing fancy.
This job is awesome if you want to consider it.
We work air crew, so it's one of the best jobs.
We get to travel a lot, get a lot of per diem, all that stuff.
So I personally think it's one of the best jobs.
If you want to join, it's really awesome.
It'd be a really great opportunity.
It's still a cool thing.
It's still cool every time that I get to go supersonic in an airplane.
We have multiple places that we can go supersonic.
Yesterday, we renamed one of our supersonic corridors to the Bell X1 Supersonic Corridor
in commemoration of the 75th anniversary.
So now you'll know that that's a special airspace that we can go supersonic in.
You'll hear the news today.
So now I'm going to talk about some of the systems that I've worked on
and how an engineer is involved in flight tests.
Hi, I'm Major Hasame.
If you're ever interested in joining the Air Force, I think it's a great opportunity.
You have the opportunity to do this.
It doesn't have to mean an entire lifetime.
You can do anything from four to ten.
ROTC is even for you.
I braid my hair when I fly because then it doesn't get stuck in my harness.
