Welcome to Jesus Christ Motivation.
Today we invite you on a powerful journey,
the greatest story ever told,
a story of love, sacrifice, redemption, and victory.
The life of Jesus Christ,
from the humble manger to the throne of heaven.
Whether you're new to the faith
or have followed Jesus for years,
this story is for you,
because his story changes our story.
Let's begin.
Before the cry of a baby broke the silence
of a Bethlehem night,
before shepherds heard angels sing,
there was a promise, a divine plan.
The Old Testament, filled with over 300 prophecies,
pointed to a coming savior.
Isaiah foretold,
"'Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given,'
Micah declared,
"'But you, Bethlehem, out of you will come one
"'who will be ruler.'
The world waited, groaning under the weight of sin.
Then, in the fullness of time, God moved."
A young virgin named Mary receives a visit
from the angel Gabriel.
You will conceive and give birth to a son,
and you are to call him Jesus.
Joseph, a humble carpenter, also receives a dream.
He believes, he stays,
and together they travel to Bethlehem.
There in a stable, the king of kings is born,
not in a palace, but among animals.
She wrapped him in cloths and laid him in a manger.
Heaven rejoices, shepherds hear angels,
wise men follow a star.
God has come to dwell among us.
Jesus grows in wisdom and stature.
At 12 years old, he astonishes teachers in the temple.
Didn't you know I had to be in my father's house?
For nearly 30 years, he lives in obscurity,
learning, working, preparing,
until the moment comes to begin his ministry.
Jesus approaches John the Baptist
and is baptized in the Jordan River.
This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.
The spirit descends.
The father affirms.
Then Jesus fasts for 40 days in the wilderness.
He resists Satan's temptations.
He calls disciples, Peter, Andrew, James, John, Matthew.
Fishermen and tax collectors become world changers.
He preaches, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.
He heals the sick, gives sight to the blind,
raises the dead.
He multiplies bread and walks on water.
He teaches with authority, revealing the father's heart.
And in the Sermon on the Mount,
he gives us a new way to live.
Blessed are the poor in spirit.
Love your enemies.
Seek first the kingdom.
Jesus embraces the outcasts.
He speaks with a Samaritan woman at the well.
He forgives the woman caught in adultery.
He dines with sinners and tax collectors.
His love is scandalous and religious leaders are enraged.
They plot against him, but Jesus doesn't stop.
He sets his face toward Jerusalem.
Jesus enters Jerusalem riding a donkey.
Crowds shout, Hosanna.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
But within days, the same crowd cries, crucify him.
In an upper room, he breaks bread with his disciples.
This is my body.
This is my blood.
Do this in remembrance of me.
In Gethsemane, he prays in agony.
Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me.
Yet not my will, but yours be done.
Betrayed by Judas, abandoned by friends,
falsely accused, beaten, mocked, sentenced.
On a hill called Golgotha, they nail him to a cross.
The innocent suffers for the guilty.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
Darkness covers the land.
He cries, it is finished, and breathes his last.
The earth shakes, the veil tears.
The sacrifice is complete.
Jesus dies, and so we may live.
Three days later, women visit the tomb,
but the stone is rolled away.
An angel declares, he is not here, he has risen.
Jesus appears to Mary, then to the disciples,
then to over 500 people.
He shows his scars, he walks, he eats, he is alive,
conquering sin and death forever.
After 40 days, Jesus ascends to heaven,
but before he leaves, he says,
go into all the world and make disciples.
He promises, I am with you always
to the very end of the age.
The Holy Spirit will come, the church will rise,
and the world one will never be the same.
This isn't just history, it's your invitation.
Jesus came for you, he died for your sin.
He rose to give you eternal life.
He lives to walk with you today.
No matter who you are, no matter what you've done,
his arms are open wide.
Will you say yes?
If you want to begin a new life with Jesus,
pray with me, prayer.
Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God.
Thank you for dying for me.
I turn from my sin and receive your forgiveness.
Come into my life, be my Lord and Savior.
Help me to follow you all the days of my life.
In Jesus' name, amen.
If you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God.
We encourage you to read the Bible,
find a church community, and keep growing.
