Hey, my name's Eric. I work for Climbing Equipment here in Squamish.
We're going to look at what's new for 2025.
The first piece of gear we're going to look at is the new Fixe Explorer harness.
This is a four buckle harness.
What's interesting about this harness is it has a patented attachment system in the back
that velcros around the back and allows you to really customize
where your belay loop sits in front of you.
This is the Fixe Mansu lanyard.
This is an adjustable lanyard with a full strength rope
in case you fall onto the anchor.
And what's really interesting, it has an energy absorber
that extends an extra 22 centimeters in case you fall on it.
This is the Mammut 95 70 meter alpine core protect rope.
This rope comes with core protect technology.
Underneath the sheath is a second layer, essentially a second sheath,
which has aramid in it.
And the aramid is extremely durable and tough to stop cuts.
Up next, we have the Instinct VSR LV.
It's an addition to the Instinct family, which is a fan favorite.
This new LV version is lower volume in the forefoot and in the heel.
It is softer in the forefoot.
This is obviously not my size, but if you're looking for a high performance shoe,
especially for the boulders out there and you've got a low volume foot, try this one.
This is the Uplift from Unparalleled.
It's perfect for multi pitching or standing on dime edges.
It offers a lot of support.
It's got RA rubber on the bottom, which is perfect for the squamish granite.
And it's exceptionally supportive for those longer days.
This is the Astro Quickdraw from Wild Country.
It has the lightest trad quickdraw.
It's I-beam construction and it clips really nicely because of the rubber part down here.
So it holds the carabiner in place when you're looking to clip quickly.
And it is a really nice way of saving a few grams off your trad rack.
Are you looking for a locking carabiner?
This is the Photon by Kemp.
It is actually specific colors of Janja Garnbrek.
And we love the color and they're a great carabiner.
What's not to like?
And we've got them in three packs in the store.
This is the Wild Country Session Helmet.
The top one actually has the chief, which is right there.
And it's also right there.
This is made with EPP and EPS combining to give amazing impact protection for climbing
when you're out and about in squamish.
This is the Rocky Torquay Mountain Radio.
For those of you who need absolute clear communication between you and your partner,
let's say on a long mulch pitch in the alpine or even ski touring,
you can both pick up one of these and you can communicate clearly over longer distances.
