It's so hot!
Good morning! It is our day one in Vietnam.
We're staying at Minder Saigon.
We arrived at around 12.30am.
Thank God we had FastTrack.
And at the same time, Minder offered us airport transfer.
Everything was like smooth sailing and convenient.
And everyone is so nice so far.
This isn't really a hotel.
It's more of like a hostel.
But we love this space.
Like our room is pretty spacious.
First of all, the blinds in the morning,
they're blackout blinds.
Like super blackout.
I couldn't even tell it was already morning.
Everything else is complete.
There's free water, free tea, coffee.
They even have a co-working space.
So perfect for me because I'm still doing a little bit of work while traveling.
They have hangers, mini refrigerator, blow dry,
iron upon request.
Their toilets are also heated.
Like it's the Japan toilets vibes.
Their shower is also spacious enough.
I really feel like this was such a steal.
The price is relatively affordable given everything else.
Like all the perks and the free stuff.
And the most important,
we have yet to find out and experience it.
But I think if I'm not mistaken,
if we are not mistaken,
it's pretty near like the tourist attractions,
the shopping and everything.
It's in District 1 and yeah.
We're just gonna finish getting ready.
But after that, we're gonna go.
Oh!
I just remembered!
I love their outlet here.
They have the one with the three holes,
and then the two holes,
and then they even have the USB,
the type C plug,
which is super helpful for me
because sometimes I forget to bring the head
or like the adapter part.
Anyway, back to getting ready.
Let's just try the pork chow, yeah.
Yeah, pork chow.
Yeah, it's okay.
We'll get the pork ribs fried rice.
The pork chow and the spring roll.
Yeah, I mean, it's fine.
What's your water for?
Room temp.
Okay.
Do you want bottled water?
No, it's okay.
I have bottled.
Sorry, can I order one bottled water?
Yes, yes.
Chopsticks.
Ah, it's for the soup.
Ooh!
It tastes like sagot gulaman.
Like the juice from sagot gulaman.
Yeah, it's good.
It doesn't taste like tea.
It tastes like sugar.
The spring rolls are thick.
It's good, but it's not like...
Ooh!
Oh yeah, the rice is so good.
It's like asado, pork asado.
And I'll try dipping it in the sauce.
Is it spicy?
Oh my God.
It's spicy.
Even the dip is good.
It's not spicy.
It's okay.
It's fine, it's like a drop waist.
This is only like 1.5.
Yeah, and the teles is so thick.
I will get it.
I'm gonna do smaller.
Smallest, you're smallest, right?
I love it.
At first, I thought it was big,
but then I feel like it's a good drop waist action.
I love this.
Super nice.
This one, 50-50.
We just climbed three flights of stairs.
They're so big.
I'm so tired.
We can't do the whole thing.
So good.
How is this not a must-try?
Maybe we didn't have to order the pancake.
We can just try it and then pick it up.
I like it.
Wow, so big.
The texture, the taste, so good.
I think we didn't cancel.
I feel like Manwa is more about the location.
It's not really the taste.
So full, but everything is so good.
Guys, you need to eat here.
You need to try it here.
We decided not to bring an umbrella
because that's extra weight.
Today is the day we're gonna do a lot of shopping
in Nguyen Tri Street.
But first, we are going to eat
because we're super hungry.
Now, where do we enter?
Oh, there, there, there.
One more bite.
My stamina is not stamina-ing.
Okay, so there's something here.
The matcha place that I saw.
It's on the higher floor,
but I think it's just matcha there.
So we should eat somewhere.
Oh, there's poke here.
We saw a lot of people like Meraki Cafe,
but we're not really into it.
Especially because we're hungry.
We will continue our journey.
There's also Arabica over here,
but we have that in our country,
so we're not gonna have that here.
Oh, 21 grams!
Can we use the pancake, please?
Oh wait, that's 22 grams in the Philippines.
Sorry, I got sweaty.
We're on the eighth floor.
This is where the good matcha is in Poke Cafe.
The drinks are looking good.
But okay, let's go.
We need to eat.
Super hungry.
I'm vegetarian bibimbap.
Yeah, it's just okay.
The gochujang carried the bibimbap without the meat.
Good.
But it's nothing like different.
Okay, we're back here.
Climbing three flights of stairs.
Four straight.
My old self would have been able to do that easily,
but now...
Okay, I get this one.
Cheers!
How is it?
It's a little new to me.
The salt cream is kind of strong.
And I'm not used to it.
I'm not used to it, to be fair.
Show it, show it, show it!
Nearer, nearer.
It's like custardy, eggy.
It's basically like you get a dessert and coffee in one.
No, but you haven't tried it with the straw.
Oh yeah, okay, fine.
I just had dessert, not yet my coffee.
It's good.
Does it grow on you also?
Because for me, like when I drink coffee,
I want it a little bit lighter.
Like when you mix the egg foam part with the coffee,
it becomes too thick.
I mean, I'm sure people would like this.
But yeah, I just wanted to try it at least.
I like it.
It's different.
But I'm just worried it's a little bit too big on me.
That's so nice.
I love it.
It's like so unique.
Could have been nice, but it kind of looks like an egg.
I look like I'm sitting on an egg tray.
I matched it there because I got jealous over her cup.
Good taste, good taste.
Unfortunately, we did not like anything.
I feel like a lot of the stores here are more for special events,
like semi-formal events.
It's really more affordable than usual.
And it's really nice.
Off to Nguyen Tri Street where everything,
hopefully, like all the good shopping places are at.
It's so hot.
We see it.
We see the light.
Most of the stores here, nice interiors,
but there's always a smell.
I'm getting dizzy.
The smell is so strong.
This could have been nice.
But then I feel like their sizing is for men.
So the small is so big.
I feel like there's potential,
but I don't know if it's just in my head.
Congrats with your purchase.
I didn't buy it.
It was too short.
I don't know.
It was, I feel like it should have been a little bit longer.
20 off.
Guys, it's 20% off everything except the new collection.
So basically everything here and the pieces are so nice.
I can already see myself like trying on a lot of these.
Guys, I kind of like it.
I can't tell if it's giving high fashion or if it's not bagay,
but I kind of vibe with it.
It's so nice, but my neck, it's kind of choking.
Just watch the days go.
Dig in.
I'm hungry.
Yeah, I'm thirsty.
I'm so excited.
It's so good.
Super.
There's so many people.
Yeah, it's really good.
And this is zero percent sugar.
I barely got anything in my bite.
It's so good.
Okay, I'm happy you like it.
Chaotic.
It's not, this is you.
And then lower the paper.
I also am really hungry, but it's also really good.
This is like the best sandwich I've ever tried in my life.
Really?
I'm not like a big fan of sandwiches in general, like not just banh mi.
This is like the best.
I think yesterday was a lot cheaper, but still quality pieces.
But this one, it's a little like on the higher end,
but not exactly the super high end.
In Nguyen Tri, most of the stores aren't even yesterday, right?
The Kuket.
Yeah, a lot of Kuket of yesterday.
Like Ho Chi Minh area is a big fan of like Kuket fashion.
And personally, we don't like Kuket.
Nothing wrong with it.
It's just not our style.
So we ended up skipping a lot of stores.
But if you're a fan of like the Kuket style, you'd love it.
But anyway, this is so good.
And also the milk tea.
Oh, these are just in front of each other.
So good deal.
Let's cheers.
Yeah, let's keep.
Oh yeah, let's keep.
No, wait.
Let's just do like one, two, three.
Cheers!
We are at the lower, lower ground of the Saigon Center Mall,
which is basically the perfect place for Pasalubong
because everything here is like packaged, chocolate, coffee, nuts.
Also, I grew up in Malover Nights.
Anyway, they have steep coffee bags, which is so convenient.
They also have drip bags, which I plan to buy later.
I also got beans for Francine.
Francine loves to drink and try like different kinds of coffee beans.
So this reminded me of her.
And also because Vietnam's known for their coffee beans or like coffee in general.
It's our last day at Miander.
We already checked out and we're heading to Pizza Four Peas.
We've been taking B.
It's like a Grab, but that's like the cheaper version here.
So far, everything's been like 31,000 dong because everything's in quarter one.
This is such a good location.
It's gonna be a chill day.
We're just gonna do like, we're just gonna eat and then go around,
like leisurely go around, not like hardcore shop anymore.
No itinerary whatsoever.
Just like places to eat.
No itinerary, no more cash.
We completely forgot that it's a weekend and this is like a famous place and it's lunchtime.
And we weren't able to reserve.
So there's like a 45 minute wait.
So we're moving to another branch, which they reserved for us.
We also have to grab going there.
So it's another expense, but everything happens for a reason.
We had a little like girl problem.
It was just at the back of our hotel.
Four Peas at the back of Miander.
That's so convenient.
That was so good.
Maybe at least one more.
Oh, but then we made it normal because it's a bit hard already.
I really like carbonara.
So I've tried so much.
This one tastes kind of nothing special to me.
I'm excited for the pizza.
Well, this is their specialty.
So this is the, what's this?
Parma ham.
Their pizza's good.
Let's try the mushroom.
The four mushroom, right?
Oh, this one's a bit softer.
It's like, if it weren't for the mushrooms, it would be bland.
Like, I mean, yeah, I get it.
Like it's like mushrooms, like the main base.
Like if I were to cook this at home, I would add one more flavor.
Like one more something.
I'm so full.
I'm like just trying right now.
We were at Saigon Center yesterday,
and then I tried these pair of sunglasses in a store called Moojosh.
I was quite hesitant because I was waiting for a season,
but I didn't like anything in season.
So I regretted not getting the sunglasses that I wanted.
And it's here in Vietnam Center.
I'm so happy because it's my last day.
I was telling Mara, if it's not here, I won't get it.
And it's here.
Everything happens for a reason, I swear.
Is this a Vietnam brand?
It was this one, guys.
Okay, I think I will get this.
But let me look at the others because I think this store is kind of bigger.
We're already at Cafe Kara, but there's just so many people.
We're just gonna take away, maybe take a few pics.
But it could have been a nice experience because look at the vibe.
It's very European.
So it would have been nice.
But again, everything happens for a reason.
This is the well-done brisket.
