United States vs Costa Rica | 2025 Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship | Group Stage

Welcome to CONCACAF Women's Under 20 Championships. Today's matchup is between United States and Costa Rica. Anything can happen. And here comes the procession, our all-female referee. And just three goals against in this matchup underway here in Aluela, finding Almark. Oh, off the post. You can see her at the far side of the 18 in trouble. And that is strong. The back heel's angle passes through first goal of the game. USA leads one to zero. The lead up there it is. It's Kennedy Fuller with her fourth assist. And what a play by Almark. Kennedy Fuller officially now in the lead. Four assists with four. Blank, a little outside of the boot, pass to Thomas, left footed shot. She's going to go out wide onto Ricketts. Another service, after wave. Ricketts with the cross. And Fuller, one goal and four assists now for Kennedy Fuller. Always dangerous on the ball. Just cannot give her too much space, even a half a yard. Almark with a sensational pass from Kennedy Fuller in the 23rd minute, as I said, put the USA up one to nil. Sure. Head coach Carrie Kovetkin said, do not, as she is want to do. That ball is through. Oh, and can't get any easier than that. Mary Long, her third goal of the tournament, USA to Costa Rica, zero. How easy could it be? Number 19 taps it in. But credit to Long, she's right in position. Third goal. Big boot towards that far post, headed down and in and Ricketts. No, Restovich, forgive me. I got my six and seven mixed up. The USA minute in Puerto Rico is standing up. Great positioning by the U.S. Ricketts and Restovich standing right in front of the goal so that either one of them and Sheikha Scott tries to clear it. But Restovich did not rest until that ball found the back of the net. Fuller trying to get to her right foot. She does. There's a shot and a goal. Fuller with the finish. USA for Costa Rica, zero. It's a matter of time before Fuller stepped up with that right foot. What a finish by Kennedy Fuller. And as we creep ever closer to a game changing goal for Costa Rica. Again, Costa Rica concedes one more. There's a right footed shot. Hart skipped an extra beat there. Kennedy Ring, a little power shot, just wide right. But terrific power shot there. I got chills myself.
