LionWhispererTV aim is to raise awareness about The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary.
Come my boy, come. All right, good morning everyone. So today we're going to be
moving the sanctuary around. Okay, let's go. Yeah, there we go.
Good boy Ikki. We have a bunch of geriatric animals at the sanctuary.
Things will speed up from here. What are we doing? Thor's group next. Three and three.
Theoretically it should be easier. Hello you guys. Nej, how are you going to behave?
Although with how today is going, yeah, I'm not sure anything's going to be easy.
Thor, Thor.
Okay.
Yeah, come. Come. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come. Whoop. Yeah, yeah, jumps. Yeah.
No.
Yeah, sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry. Okay, yeah, sorry, sorry.
Okay, let's go. Come. Let's go. Yeah, yeah, yeah, come, come, come.
These guys are chaotic. Okay, that's so weird. Hello boy. All right, let's group to south one.
Nej, you can just wait there for 10 minutes, okay?
All right, so although that looked pretty chaotic, it's actually what I call organized chaos.
I know that I have to load females before males. Unfortunately Jabari got in. I'd prefer to load
a lioness like Nej or Indy or Lola before Jabari because Jabari will always get in.
She'll just bully her way in. You got to load this group in particular in the lower rank
king animals or females and then up from there. Thor will just jump in. He doesn't care. He'll
bully his way in. The next group to move is going to be Nej, Lola and Charlie.
That's not a hard move at all. The first three are the hardest.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sorry, sorry. Yeah, sorry. Jabari is so smart guys. So she's trying to open this gate.
I need to keep this gate closed with her inside because then it makes my life just that much
easier when it comes to the next group because then we don't have Jabari
trying to jump in again. Sanctuary is looking really lush. It's so overgrown guys. I think
we're all slightly thankful that it's coming on autumn because that means the
vegetation is going to slow down in its growth. Well, it's actually going to stop
and it means one more cut of the grass and then that's it for winter. So I think a lot of the
guys are going to be super excited or super stoked about that. But then with winter comes other
issues. So yeah, it's never straightforward running a game farm or a sanctuary. It's always something
like when Charlie's putting all of his weight on the back of that truck,
it goes down by about that much, which means the gate that prevents him from going under
the car gets stuck on the ground. So there's actually nothing you can do besides drive
slowly and hope to goodness that it doesn't break. Anyway, so yeah, that group's not a problem. Easy
peasy. And offloading, easy peasy. Then we will head to, actually I want to fetch,
I think it's going to be Vaiety and Ginny to move to here. And then I'm going to move
George and Yaume to the walking enclosure or the enclosure next to the walking enclosure. And then
I'm going to move Eko and Obi to where George and Yaume were. That's the plan Stan. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. Sorry. You're relentless my boy. You are relentless.
Okay. Let's go.
Yeah.
My girl. Yeah.
Hello gorgeous. Yes. Don't have a lot of meat left.
I've got enough to get them in, but if they muck me around,
I won't have enough. So let's see.
I don't suspect Yaume is going to be the problem. I think George might. He can. He has been.
Yaume, Yaume.
Okay.
You're a funny cat. This lion, he's become such a wonderful animal.
Run out of superlatives to describe him. Okay. Come a little bit more. A little bit more.
And whoop. Okay. There we go. Okay. That's my boy. What a clever boy. Yeah.
Yeah. Come. Yaume. Find time to go for a drink, Yaume. Anyway, luckily Georgie got in on his own
Good old George. He's just more interested in the sniffs.
All the smells. Okay. Come on. Let's go. In you go.
Yeah. George. Georgie. Yeah. Come. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yummy. Yeah. With meat to spare. Yeah. Yummy. Yummy. Okay. So. Okay. The only two lions that
I wanted to move today but haven't managed to get around to,
Come my boy. Come. Come. Out you come. Come. Yeah. Come. Come. Good boy.
All right guys. So that was not an easy morning, but yeah, happy that all the lions have moved
around, or at least most of them, and they're going to be a lot happier in their new enclosures.
It's quite funny. I was thinking as I was just offloading George and Yaume, I was thinking that
moving these lions around as they've aged is very similar to humans in many respects. It's like when
kids are between the age of like, well, let's say three and like 10, they're full of energy,
but they're very hard to control. And then they get to an age where they're just,
they're compliant and they're a perfect age because they do everything that you'd like
to do, and they are at just that perfect age for a couple of years. And then they
hit their terrible teens, and then they're a nightmare, and then they come back.
But eventually what happens is, you know, if you think about your doddery old parents,
you know, they don't do anything at pace anymore, and everything takes a bit of effort. And
I was laughing because it feels a bit like that here at the sanctuary. It's a bit of an old age
home, and it takes a little bit longer to get the old grannies and grandpas up and about and
getting them loaded. And, you know, sometimes they don't feel like it. And, you know, sometimes
they're a little bit upset with that one because that one, somebody said something about them. So
it's really, lions and humans in many respects are no different. A lot of the lions have got to that
doddery old age. But anyway, hope you enjoyed today's video. If you did, please do like and
share. Not all videos go according to plan, as you can see. But nevertheless, yeah, if you did
like what you saw, please do consider subscribing to the channel. It is the way that we spread the
awareness as to the plight of the lion and everything that we do. So go and check it out.
If you want to take it a step further, yeah, have a look at memberships. Members really do get,
you know, get that extra little bit. But they are also the reasons why we can continue to bring
the content free of charge to the call. So yeah, thank you members. And all that's left for me to
say is from me, Kevin, and all the beautiful lions here at the sanctuary. Cheers, until next time.
