What's up guys, Will here with WTF Car Reviews and today we're going to be reviewing this all-new 2022
Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti. And before we start, I just want to give a huge thank you to Dan and the rest
of the management and staff here at Alfa Romeo and Maserati of St. Petersburg for making this
review possible. These guys have a beautiful dealership located right off of I-275. I'll
leave links to their inventory below, but if you're in the Tampa area looking for a new car or truck,
I would definitely suggest checking these guys out and ask for Dan. So for those of you guys who
don't know, Alfa Romeo has been in production since 1910, so they were one of the first vehicle
manufacturers in the world. They were also pretty serious when it came to racing. Fast forward to
like the early 20s, they had a pretty famous race car driver named Enzo Ferrari. I'm sure most of
you guys have heard of him. Fast forward to the late 30s and he started his own Scuderia racing
division and that's kind of what he's personally famous for. But as far as Alfa Romeo, they've also
done quite a bit in their lifetime. Fast forward to the mid-1950s, they ended up releasing their
twin cam engine and that engine ended up staying in production until the mid-80s. So to have an
engine stay in production for almost 30, like 30 plus years, it's a really impressive feat. But fast
forward to also the mid-80s, Fiat ended up also merging with Alfa Romeo and Fiat's kind of famous
for merging with other vehicle manufacturers. That's kind of how they have their business model
and it really helped both manufacturers because fast forward to 2008, Fiat ended up merging with
Chrysler and of course that helped both Alfa Romeo and Fiat because now Alfa Romeo is able to start
importing vehicles to the United States. So they started in 2008 with the 8C and that was an
absolutely fantastic sports car. It really took the world by storm and it reminded all the consumers
that Alfa Romeo still makes cars. But we fast forward to 2016 now, they released their Giulia.
That's one of their most famous sports sedans. A lot of people love that sports sedan of course
with the Quadrifoglio Model 2 making over 500 horsepower doing 0-60 in under three and a half
seconds, sounding like a Ferrari engine. It was an absolutely incredible sports car. We fast forward
a couple more years to 2017-2018 and Alfa Romeo released the Stelvio and this has been one of
their best sellers since they released it. Of course it has fantastic driving dynamics, got
50-50 weight balance. We have a base engine, a 2-liter turbocharged engine making 280 horsepower
and 306 pound-feet of torque. Best in class base engine numbers. We're going to be expecting 0-60
around 5.4 seconds, a top speed over 140 miles an hour. Really impressive vehicle overall. It's
going to be best in class when it comes to performance but here for 2022 we are going to
get a couple updates starting with basically just limiting packages, starting with the rims. We're
not going to get as many rim options. We're going to be cutting them down to about 10 different
options as well as the brake calipers. As we saw with the 2021 Stelvio TI that we reviewed on this channel
we had yellow brake calipers. Here for 2022 we're basically going to be limited between these base
colored calipers and red but also we're going to have updates in terms of just overall packages.
We're not going to have quite as many. They're going to be bundling up the trims basically
making it more valuable for the consumers without having to option up like we did for 2021 but
anyway as far as the front overall styling we can go ahead and check it out. So of course we
have the vehicle turned on right now. You can take a look at the daytime running strips right
up top and they look absolutely fantastic with your turn signal right outside. A full black
headlight housing that definitely adds to the aggression with this white contrasting paint and
as far as this paint it's not going to be a metallic but it still looks really nice especially
with this black contrast all over this 2022 Stelvio TI but continuing along inside over here
you have an additional light strip. You got the high beams in there and the overall projector beam
for the headlight itself but down here we got some really nice airflow over here. It's going
to be running to your intercooler because this is going to be a two liter turbocharged engine.
We're not going to have a functional air curtain over here unfortunately but anyway you can notice
your front parking sensors. This vehicle is going to have full 360 sensing. We'll take a look at it
once we go inside but continuing along for the grille we got our Alfa Romeo badge right here
distinguishing badge with a v-shaped grille with the brushed aluminum on the outside. Definitely
a thumbs up for not giving you a shiny chrome. Definitely love the styling. You can take a look
at your intercooler and radiator right up front but anyway continuing along more parking sensors.
Right here we have a little plate that's going to house your advanced safety features
but love this front lip as you guys can see this bottom part of this lip has a really nice
like line edge design. Definitely makes this front end look pretty aggressive and definitely
unique but anyway we can take we can continue along over here and take a look at this
wheel and tire setup. So here we're going to have our 20 inch rims not quite the same as we had on
the 2021 Ti that we reviewed on this channel previously but anyway these are going to be black
and silver contrast. A pretty unique design you can see the Alfa Romeo badge in the middle
and a pretty large four piston Brembo brake caliper right up front but as far as these tires
these are going to be Continental Cross Contact Sport tires dimensions are going to be 255 40 R20
so pretty good street all-season compound while still being pretty aggressive. We'll take a look
once we take this car out for a drive the overall handling capabilities as well as grip but another
thing that I'm noticing right up front we're not going to have any plastic cladding I don't know
if you can notice it but we are going to have a little carbon flash metallic color over here so
huge thumbs up to Alfa for not giving us plastic cladding this definitely aids the overall styling
especially with these little rockers down here it contrasts that white paint absolutely beautifully
but anyway continuing over here we can see that we do get a Ti badge it's kind of different from 2021
the eye over here is going to be gold. Continuing along we got a massive mirror the glass is going
to be huge it's going to be heated and we are going to get blind spot monitoring over here also
for 2022 as we'll see inside we're going to have standard wireless charging on all trims that's
new for 2022 we got a smart access for the driver and a front passenger no smart access for the rear
unfortunately but not a big deal I love the fact that we don't have any chrome trim outside of the
window pane everything's gonna be blacked out really dark tints it's gonna be kind of tough
to see this window sticker if you can even notice that there is one because these tints are
unbelievably dark but love the blacked out b-pillar right here as well as the roof rails
I love the fact that they black those out all the contrast between this black and white paint color
is absolutely beautiful on this 2022 Stelvio Ti but we can take a look at this window sticker
hopefully you guys can pick it up at least a little bit here we have our 2022 Alfa Romeo
Stelvio Ti all-wheel drive so base price here is going to be $50,200 we're going to have the
Alfa white exterior paint color black interior color leather seats two liter 280 horsepower
turbocharged engine eight speed auto transmission so that's going to be coming on all Alfa Ti's
for the Stelvio here we can take a look at all the advanced safety features I hope I can position
the camera so you guys can at least see it a little bit but regardless I'll just try to read
them off for you so we're gonna have full speed forward collision warning plus standard lane
departure warning adaptive cruise control full stop blind spot monitoring with cross path detection
front and rear park assist sensors rear backup camera supplemental front mounted side airbags
latch ready child seats of course we're not going to go through all that remote keyless entry remote
start start stop system we can disable that inside too auto high beam headlight control we got auto
dimming exterior mirrors power folding heated mirrors rain sensitive windshield wipers that's
nice acoustic glass we'll check it out these are going to be dual pane windows definitely a thumbs
up going to keep this interior super quiet we're going to have hands-free power liftgate that's
going to be standard across all Stelvio models even the Sprint but continuing along all Stelvio's
are going to have the 8.8 inch touchscreen with navigation we're going to have apple car play
android auto wireless charging pad like we said it's going to be standard on all Stelvio's a
seven inch cluster we're going to have eight inch audio system standard so in the interior we're also
going to have dark gray oak wood interior trim steering wheel mounted audio controls heated front
seats heated rear seats heated steering wheel as far as the exterior standard we're going to get
19 inch rims which are going to be eight inches wide wrapped in 235 55 r19 all seasons here we're
going to have the optional thousand dollar option 20 inch by 8.5 sport rims wrapped in 255 40 r20
all season so that's gonna be a thousand dollar option so to give you some nicer rims overall
so pretty good value overall for a thousand bucks kind of surprised they only charge a thousand for
the upgraded rims but as far as the rest of the exterior features of course we're gonna have black
accents all over the exterior led daytime running lamps bi-xenon headlamps which are going to be
adaptive so as you turn the wheel they are going to adapt before the turn led tail lamps privacy
driver quarter liftgate glass too i'm not quite sure what that is i'll put that in the little
text box right here optional equipment right here so we're going to have the visuvio gray
appearance kit that's going to be coming on the ti all wheel drive package 22g we're gonna have
the six-way power adjustable driver's seat six-way adjustable front passenger seat the 20 by five
rims of course that's a thousand dollar option and after a 1500 destination charge we're gonna
be sitting around 52 500 bucks so pretty good value overall after reading all these options we
are gonna get quite a bit in this suv as far as fuel economy expect 22 city 28 highway about 24
mpg is combined pretty good on gas considering we're gonna be doing 0 to 60 in under five and a
half seconds but anyway we can continue along we're not going to get a push to open gas tank
unfortunately of course that carbon flash trim is going to continue all the way out here for the
rear diffuser led tail lamps you got the reverse lights right over here q4 badge it's not going
to be blacked out like we had it on the 2021 so that's a little bit of a difference we got the
alfa romeo right here and the selvio right over here but as far as this rear glass it's going to
be really sloped again with the weight balance in this suv is going to be completely 50 50 and you
can really tell by the way that they designed it but anyway we can take a step back of course you
can take a look at your parking sensors right down over here and that little black trim surrounding
your exhaust tips but we can take another step back we can start this 2022
alfa romeo stelvio ti up and hear how this two liter turbocharged engine sounds
all right guys so that was of course the sound of the two liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine
sold by alfa romeo for the stelvio and as soon as we find this latch we can pop it up right here
and definitely thumbs up for us getting struts uh that's definitely always appreciated but here
you have your two liter turbocharged four-cylinder it's going to make 280 horsepower and 306 pound
feet of torque best in class numbers enough to get this suv to 60 in under five and a half seconds
5.4 seconds some people even get it quicker than that but as you see this motor is pushed pretty
far back that's always going to help your weight balance unlike the 2021 ti that we reviewed we're
not going to have a cross strut tower brace like we had there but similar to my camaro lt1 you are
going to have a set of strut tower braces running from your strut tower to the center of the chassis
on both sides definitely going to aid with the overall stiffness of this chassis but down here
you can notice we're going to have two additional supports right in front of your radiator and
intercooler so really stiff setup for this chassis i can't wait to see how well this vehicle can
handle on the twisties but other than that that's about it we can shut this hood up right here
pretty easy overall process we could take a step back you can take a look at the front styling
one last time and let's take a step over here and check out the interior on this 2022 stelvio ti so
stepping inside over here we're going to notice we're going to get soft touch materials up top
it's not going to be like the coolest looking material but it's still going to be super nice
area to rest your elbow beneath that you're going to have some dark gray wood trim definitely looks
really nice it's going to be grained so definitely high quality aluminum door handle that's also
really well weight resisted lock and unlock three person memory seats you got power one touch for
all four windows you can lock them up right here power folding mirrors you can change between left
and right right over here you got the power tailgate button right over there so as far as
this area you can have massive storage more than most vehicles super soft area for the elbow this
is one of the softest elbow pads that i've felt in most vehicles but over here you have some more
leather trim beneath that this is going to be some hard plastic to be expected inside over here you
are going to have some felt so that's really impressive you wouldn't expect felt to be inside
most of vehicles inner little storage pocket inside the door panel but anyway you're not
going to really have a cup holder here unfortunately but this area should definitely fit at least like
two or three large sandwiches but stepping inside we are going to have an alfa romeo nameplate it's
going to be aluminum it's not going to be illuminated but the alfa romeo is going to be
chrome so it is going to be pretty shiny but as far as these seats they're going to be black leather
you got some pretty solid bolstering up top the seats themselves are very soft and the headrest
unbelievably comfortably you can see the alfa romeo little stitching but the bottom part of
these seats they're going to be relatively flat so if you're looking for the most aggressive seats
in the alfa romeo stelvio these are probably not for you but adjustability it's definitely there
you got four-wheel lumbar control you can lift drop and recline the seats right over here slide
them back and forth as well but taking a step inside i shut this car off because the door chime
was going off with the door open but to start this car up you put your foot on the brake press this
button right here watch the gauges come to life pretty cool process overall we can shut this door
right over here but first thing i notice of course is going to be the steering wheel
alfa romeo has absolutely gorgeous steering wheels you got a pretty thick overall design
pretty fat 10 and 2 bolstering notches too so the 10 and 2 position is very nice in your hands
the 9 and 3 basically perfect it caves in for your fingers very well and the thumb slat is very nice
and you have very good perforation right here making it a little bit more grippy but continuing
down we are going to get a flat bottom here too and the engine start stop is going to be on the
steering wheel of course as you saw when we started up similar to the ferrari cars as far as the horn
you're going to have this alfa romeo badge right up top the horn itself is going to be this grained
rubberized material but as far as the horn really aggressive horn i actually was not expecting to
sound that aggressive you got your adaptive cruise control settings right here you can
accelerate recelerate cancel and you got your hill descent control right here voice commands you have
your call settings volume and you can skip the songs right over here but behind that as far as
the wiper stock they are really satisfying to click i know most of you guys don't really care
about that but for a fifty two thousand dollar suv it is nice to have some high quality materials
in areas we're going to be touching them the most of course we're going to have auto headlights rain
sensing wipers that's a great feature to have but continuing along as far as the gauges you can see
that the red line starts at 5500 rpm but the car shifts closer to 5800 when you're in automatic
mode but the power is really going to start surging as soon as you cross like 1500 as you'll
see once we take this car out for a drive but anyway for the middle we have our seven inch
display it kind of changes up when you put it into dynamic mode as you see you see a little
red line underneath but to really adjust this infotainment setup you're going to have to press
this little menu stock right over here for the windshield wiper stock so you press this button
and you can adjust between a digital speedometer you get your fuel information right here we have
our g-forces too so that's pretty cool to look at at all times and you still keep your digital speed
right up top but we press it one more time you can see your advanced safety features at all times
but my personal favorite it's probably just looking at well we look at the g-forces this
pretty cool screen you'll see the g-forces and the digital speedo right up top but anyway continue
along we have 160 mile an hour speedometer with the fuel gauge right next to it as far as the
lighting controls you can turn off your parking sensors over here if you would like to for some
reason you can turn off the auto start stop which we will do for the purpose of this review and as
mentioned we are going to have the auto headlights over here but anyway you can adjust the interior
dimness and as far as these vents they're super flexible you can turn them this way and you can
open and close them simply by turning them left and right as far as the dashboard same material
as the other part of this door panel it doesn't look the fanciest but it's still going to be super
soft very durable it's not going to have any rattles long term in this vehicle's life up top
over here this rear view mirror is like straight out of 2004 for a jeep grand cherokee from fca
or from chrysler overall but still does the job it's going to be auto dimming it's going to do
basically everything you needed to do you have a very good visibility out of your rear hatch
windshield but anyway as far as this infotainment yes we're going to have the 8.8 inch display
pretty nice overall process uh the touchscreen it's a little bit more responsive compared to
2021 but still not the most responsive if you want the most overall response we are going to get a
dial over here so the dial basically does the same thing you can just go left to right we do get
as you guys can take a look we're going to have performance content technical gauges so you can
see your boost pressure your max boost and all that you can see the consumption history see what
the overall miles per gallon is in the last couple minutes or so we haven't been doing so well since
we've just been sitting here idling uh you can see the efficient drive all wheel drivers rear
wheel drive that's pretty cool so let's see what we get over here so right now you can see basically
where the power is being sent that's a pretty cool screen to look at at all times but we can
pop out of here just press this little back button right here and that's about it for the
performance page so anyway continuing along we're also going to get vehicle information it'll let
you know when service is due the oil life the brake pad life and you can also see between the
dynamic sport control so you can also adjust between sports steering sport shifting and in
dynamic mode the engine torque limiter is going to be off so that's pretty cool we'll start this
review in normal mode and then transition into dynamic but anyway that's about it over here we
also get the connected services overall settings where you can adjust things like the media
base treble and all that as far as the touchscreen and the navigation super like nice screen it's
like a google map screen and the navigation itself pretty responsive it's not the most responsive
but it's more than responsive enough and the screen itself looks pretty cool but we'll pop
out of here just go back to this regular main screen setting uh continuing down we're gonna
have more of that grained gray wood with some aluminum accents underneath really high quality
appearance the vents are gonna have more aluminum underneath them auto climate control of course
we're gonna have heated seats no cooled seats unfortunately but we are gonna get a heated
steering wheel that's definitely nice for colder climates you can adjust your vent speed right over
here you got a usb port and a 12 volt outlet we're not gonna get a cigarette lighter but it does look
pretty cool with this little aluminum accents on the outside but more of this wood trim continuing
all the way for this little center area a little bit of stitch leather for your knee will often hit
too you can push this open right over here and we can see that we're gonna have two massive cup
holders they go pretty deeply you got a nice little storage slot for your phone so pretty cool overall
you got the gear selector for the eight speed auto transmission you simply press this button right
behind it right over here pull it back one time you're in drive push it forward one time you're
in reverse as far as the rear view camera we can see it's still not going to be the best resolution
similar to a complaint i had with the 2021 but you can notice your 360 sensing system to the left
and we are going to get guidance markers and trajectory for the rear view camera itself but
anyway if you want to pull this back half a notch you'll go right back into neutral
press the button pull it back back into drive now we're in manual shift mode once you push it to the
left so here we have the proper manual shift mode to pull it back you're going to up shift push it
forward you're going to down shift but we can simply press this park button right here and the
shifter goes right back into its place we got an electronic parking brake over here nice little
spot right here you can fit a key behind it we're going to have our volume and tuning adjustments
so really convenient location not just for the driver but also for the passenger they have a
really easy area to change the song or change the volume of the song but anyway over here we got our
drive mode selector we can switch between normal a and dynamic mode i'm not quite sure a stands for
but normal dynamic is going to be what we're going to be using for this test drive i like this little
italian flag over here of course we got our dial selector for this infotainment right behind it so
all stelvios for 2022 are going to come standard with wireless charging that's going to be located
right here you might be saying there's not that much room but as soon as we open up the center
console you'll see that this whole area over here is going to be where your phone's going to lie
as far as the center console space you're not going to have the most but the depth is definitely
there you probably fit three 16 ounce cans next to each other right over here we're going to have
usb c aux port and a usb a port right next to it and this whole cubby is going to be lined with
felt so it's going to feel really high quality but the center console itself the armrest it's going
to be unbelievably soft leather stitched leather really nice area to rest your arm but we can take
a look at the glove box and above the glove box we're going to get more of the soft touch plastic
material we pull this latch which is going to be aluminum it's going to be damp it's going to be
lined with felt too uh it's not going to be the largest glove box as you guys can see we can pull
this little uh thing out so you guys can get a better look but not the largest glove box i'd say
you'll fit about seven maybe eight license plates but more than enough space we can put this little
uh owner's manual right back where it belongs shut this thing up but the last thing i want to show
you guys in this interior is going to be this panoramic moonroof it's absolutely massive you
can see there's even a little bit of a glass area for the back seat we'll check it out once we hop
out back there but as far as this glass really large we can open it up right here by pressing
this button we'll see how far it opens up it's going to stop pretty short but we can press this
button right here it's going to open up a little bit more but not the most opening because this
is a pretty small suv as you see the moonroof is going to be hanging over the back a little bit
but it's a pretty nice day right now in st petersburg florida the sunroof is definitely
nice but for the purpose of this review for the audio quality we'll shut this thing up but that's
about it for the front seat guys really luxurious i can't wait to take this thing out for a drive
see how it really performs but that's about it for the front let's hop out in the back and see
how much space is offered back there as well as the overall quality of the materials all right
guys step it in the back seat of the 2022 stelvio ti so similar to the front we're going to get the
soft touch materials up top that uh dark gray wood trim is going to continue with the aluminum door
handle right beneath it leather is going to be covering all this area where your arm is going
to be resting unbelievably soft armrest for your passengers power one touch window pretty solid
storage with rubberized center the leather is going to continue even for this area over here
as far as this little storage we're not going to have any felt like we had up front small little
couple you can probably fit a red bull can probably not much more in there and a little bit
of an area for some snacks but as far as the seats we'll check them out right here the padding does
continue all the way to the side so it is going to feel pretty couch like same color leather as
the front similar softness for the seat itself but the headrest is not going to be quite as soft but
as far as legroom let's step inside and check it out so i'm six feet tall sitting behind my seat
settings and as you guys can see my knees are starting to get a little bit close i got about
an inch maybe two before my legs are starting to touch but i got plenty of foot room more than
enough foot room i am pretty comfortable back here not the most space but definitely doable
and as you see with this moonroof it is really well lit in this cabin definitely a nice feature
to have but as far as these vents uh they're going to be similar to the front you can just
turn them to close them and you can flexibly adjust them left to right uh down here we're
going to have heated rear seats wasn't really expecting that we're going to have two usb ports
down here as well but two mat pockets back here not mat pockets some cargo nets and back here we
have a string for the center little armrest we can take a look at it it's gonna be pretty soft
not the softest over here but we do get two rubberized cup holders as well as a little
storage area for your phone but that's about it back here pretty comfortable not the most space
for somebody that's six feet tall but more than doable even behind my seat settings uh let's hop
out in the trunk real quick see how much space is offered back there and then take this suv out for
a drive all right guys so to step into this trunk you simply pull this latch right down here and
it's gonna be a power tailgate on all selvio models even the sprint for 2022 and as you see
we got a very very low stepping height i'm six feet tall you can see my knees just about hitting
this top area of the cargo net so if you got older pets you got smaller pets they can easily hop back
here with no issues and as you see we're going to have fold down seats they're going to be 40 40 20
fold downs you can fold them down right over here with these two latches and once you fold them down
you should easily be able to fit at least a 60 65 inch tv back here with no issues whatsoever
we are going to get a tunnel cover over here as well you can pop it open right here and to really
close this rear hatch off from intruder's eyes alpha even gives you an additional little cover
right up top but we can put this thing right back to where it was we can press this button up top we
watch this tailgate shut and it does give you a couple seconds so if you're taking some groceries
out you're not gonna have to really worry about getting crushed but that's about it guys you can
take a look at the rear styling one last time let's take this 2022 alfa romeo stelvio ti q4
out for a drive all right guys now we've just about seen everything we need to see with the
inside and outside of this all new 2022 alfa romeo stelvio ti q4 let's take it out for a drive and
first thing i notice um we're in normal mode right now in the steering it's pretty light but
it's unbelievably direct you'll see that's going to be a reoccurring thing of this test drive
the steering is unbelievable in these stelvios but another thing i notice is um so off the line
it does take like a second to get moving it kind of feels like a dual clutch where you got to wait
for the engagement not quite sure why that is uh as you guys see we have a 4c over here that's pretty
cool but i'll show you guys right here so we're not moving and let off the brake see we're not
it takes like a second or two to get going once you let off the brake so it kind of reminds me
of the corvette c8 r edition that we reviewed where it had the dual clutch transmission but
stepping out here in normal mode barely on the gas going to about 2000 rpm we got plenty of
torque we're already at like 35 miles an hour on this pretty nice twisty road and we can take a
look at this handling right here and this car changes directions so quickly really impressive
and you don't really hear a whole lot because these dual pane windows really isolate you really
well from the road but anyway we're gonna have a really sharp turn coming up we'll hit it right
here in normal mode in three two one on the brakes and throwing it wow this thing just
immediately changes directions and on the gas about halfway once the boost kicks in
pretty good torque it definitely gets you to speed really really quick but we'll take a step
over here onto this road pop it into dynamic mode see what the overall differences are
and oh immediately i feel more weight the steering in the gas pedal a lot more sensitive
move it takes you to about 3500 rpm with only a third throttle wow this is a very turkey this is
a very torquey four-cylinder turbocharged engine and going through these turns over here uh the
vehicle just changes direction from the moment from the moment you turn the wheel unbelievably
impressive we're gonna have a stop sign coming up over here really give us a good opportunity to
see how this vehicle can accelerate off the line but i'll catch back with you guys in one second
but okay off the line not gonna break torquey but wow
yeah this thing can really pick up speed i could definitely see it hitting 60 in under five and a
half seconds and going through this sharp turn right now it stays unbelievably flat thanks to
these cross supports this is a fantastic chassis the steering is i might say perfect this is one of
the best steering racks i've felt in any car it might be better than my camaro lt1 i definitely
think this is a better steering rack than the julia that we review in this channel um it might
be because of the 255 tires that julia that we reviewed only had 225 tires so these do have a
little bit more grip but stepping back out on here in dynamic mode that torque is just instant it
just takes off i'm barely on throttle like third throttle and dynamic mode wow the steering this is
a really fun sport suv guys i really recommend anybody looking for a sporty suv to definitely
try checking this one out going through these turns unbelievably flat composure the ride quality
over the bumps is soft like you this is a luxurious luxurious vehicle but we're gonna give these guys
in front of us a little bit of space and i'll catch back with you guys in one second but all
right guys coming back out here i want to give you a little bit of a pov for that sharp twisty
whoo that torque wow that thing just takes off and on the brakes these four pistons are
fantastic throwing it in whoo this thing is fun and coming out yeah this thing is no joke i hope
you can pick it up to the screen i absolutely love the alfa romeo salvio i can see why it's
been one of their best sellers for a really long time throwing it through this turn a little bit
quicker than we should literally zero body roll about third throttle we do go a little bit high
in the revs and dynamic mode for a third for a third throttle to go like to 4000 rpm for a 5500
rpm redline engine it is kind of sensitive but you feel every single bit of that 306 pound-feet
of torque as soon as you lean into that gas pedal it is really impressively torquey but as you see
going through the turns you barely have to turn the steering wheel this is literally as on center
as it gets you you sniff the steering wheel you're gonna be changing directions like this is absolutely
unbelievable but another stop sign maybe you guys can get a good sense of how this thing can
accelerate off the line we're not going to brake torque it i'll give that truck over there a little
bit of space and okay so on the gas boom matting it a little bit of lag oh my gosh as soon as that
boost kicks in it just kicks you in the butt and takes off obviously if you brake boost this car
uh it'll really kick you in the butt as soon as you let off that brake and it's just gonna just
put you in the seat and put a smile on your face but i hope you guys can pick it up this is a really
really fantastically impressive suv but just out here in normal mode now uh the revs definitely
quiet down in dynamic mode we're kind of always sitting above 2000 rpm kind of avoiding the
overdrive gears and in normal mode that's just not the case we're sitting around 1300 rpm going
about 40 miles an hour hitting the sharp turn again still the steering although it's a lot
lighter in normal mode it is easily just as direct but coming out onto the gas it does take a second
for the transmission to downshift it kind of wants to hold the overdrive gears a little bit longer
uh that's basically the main differences between normal and sport but just coming out here on this
two-lane highway right now cruising around 55 miles an hour i hear nothing this is a literally
silent cabin thanks to these dual pane windows uh the steering it's so on center that you're just
changing directions with basically zero effort unbelievably impressive vehicle overall but as
far as passing power on the highway um in normal mode so in normal on the gas it takes a second
to downshift wow that was actually surprising i was not expecting to kick you in the butt like that
but yes really impressive performance guys this is not a joke this is a serious serious
sporty suv and starting around 50,000 bucks for the all-wheel drive model i think it's a fantastic
bargain if you want to avoid the all-wheel drive go with the rear-wheel drive sprint it's going to
cost you closer to 47 but for the additional 3,000 bucks you can launch this thing off the line and
really have a serious kick in the pants but we're going to head back to alfa romeo and maserati of
st petersburg florida and again huge thanks to them for making this review possible unbelievably
kind from the management all the way to the staff i have nothing but nice things to say about them
they're always treating me super kindly and they have some really impressive cars i'll definitely
suggest anybody in the tampa or st petersburg florida area to definitely check them out but
other than that thank you guys so much for watching i had a great time making this video
