Parker, Texas is awesome. Parker, Texas
is an incredible community. I don't live
in Parker, but I was super proud to.
When we last considered moving, which is
actually when we tore down our old home
and built a new home on our lot, so we
didn't want to leave our lot, but the
the old house was not going to be the
the long-term house. I only looked in
two places, and I'm just going to be
open about this. Parker was number one,
and number two was a couple of really
cool pockets of less. Do you have any
regrets? I have no regrets. We're really
glad with what we did. But I will just
tell you, this area of Parker off of
Dublin is incredible. It's one of those
places, and you'll know when I say it
what I mean, where it's like the way you
get there, you don't think you're going
to someplace like this, and then once
you're there, you know you're someplace
special, and it's an it's a magical
little pocket that is like set apart
from the rest of the community around
it. You could say that for Parker. I
want to drive over there. It sounds like
Disneyland. You could say that for
Parker as a whole, but then within
Parker, this corridor up and down Dublin
Road is really unique. It's where just
no two properties are the same. It's one
of those winding two-lane country roads,
but there are some gorgeous like
multiple acre properties that are estate
style properties. And then nearby
there's old traditional Dallas style
ranchstyle home that's still on multiple
acres that's very wellmaintained.
Beautiful landscaping, large lots,
well-kept homes. You've got 7,000t homes
over there and you've got 1,800T homes
over there. But they're just unique
properties. They're well-kept. It's
clean. It's safe. People love it. It's
private. It's not like along anyone's
main route, so it's not high traffic.
I'll drive through there after church on
Sunday sometimes just cuz I'm not in
quite as much. I'm trying not to be in
quite as much of a hurry. Uh, and enjoy
it. There's just some incredible
properties over there. Some beautiful
event venues over there. One that I know
of. There may only be one. And then
there is some that have been torn down
and rebuilt with that kind of estate
feel where there's a big beautiful barn.
There's a main house. There might even
be a secondary home. Parker's known for
larger lot properties. So, all of Parker
has some of those elements. Um, the
schools over there are generally highly
thought of and desirable. People have
different criteria for school, so you
can make your own opinions. But
generally speaking, people are really
happy to live there for the schools, the
city services, the parks, um the
quietness, the space, the location. I
mean, you're right there at the edge of
Allen and Plano and Richardson and uh
Murphy and Firewheel and all those
really, really positive, well thought
of, awesome areas. You're nearby
restaurants and shopping, but inside
Parker, you're mostly a bedroom
community where you don't have a lot of
that type of stuff. Now, we have a home
coming on the market basically as we
speak, maybe yesterday,
um, for a longtime client and friend of
ours. We're not going to say exactly
where it is. If you want to know about
it, give us a call. But, it's it this is
a really cool option and it's very
representative of Parker, so that's why
we're going to spend a minute or two
talking about it. But, um, this is an
old ranch style. I say old meaning it's
not a new construction ranch style home
on a little bit more than two acres with
frontage on the creek um where you can
have your chickens, you could raise
other animals. There's room for campers
or a shop or woodworking garden orchard.
Uh and this home over over the course of
our friends living there has had I think
everything I just said except an
orchard. They've got gardens. Yeah.
They've had animals, pool and they have
fruit trees. Yeah. But it's not it's not
intentionally. It's not a dedicated like
grid orchard, but they've got fruit
trees, garden area, area for the
chickens, pool area on a creek, room for
playing and hanging out, and then near
it are huge new and newer homes. Uh I
mean, somebody bought a lot next to it
and threw up a gorgeous, large, nice new
home in the last several years. They're
at the very end of a very private road.
They're within a really good golfer
drive of South Fork, which is the the
ranch from the TV show Dallas, which by
the way, that's being redeveloped. We
did some content on that on the radio
show. That's being redeveloped into a
residential community starting now.
They're already moving dirt over there.
So, this whole area of Parker is highly
desirable, but this home's perfectly
representative. This is one of the homes
that's been there for a little while,
ranch style. Uh, I think it's four
bedrooms originally. You've got a garage
conversion that gives you kind of a cool
bunk room type feel. If you've got some,
uh, you if you have a larger family or
if you've got some older kids that want
their own space, um, it's just a really
cool property. She's got like three
sitting areas for outside like to be
able to watch the sunset and to sit in
the back. Multiple inside living areas.
Kind of homeschool classroom area or
home office type area. Yeah, great home.
And and the reason we talk about that a
is that home is literally for sale right
now. So, if you're interested or you
know somebody that's interested in
something like very private, end of a
very very private road, super quiet, but
also just right there in the heart of
very cool Parker, Texas stuff and within
five minutes of all the shopping and
restaurants and things you need. Um, but
also because there are many homes like
that in Parker. Parker is just known for
properties like that. Now, I was I was
bragging on that Dublin area that's
typically known for nicer, fancier
estate type properties, but there's
definitely some of exactly what we just
talked about. And I'll tell you I'll
tell you a little secret, Ian. I have to
talk like this. Okay,
not everybody can get one like this, but
we had some other very longtime client
friends that were living in Murphy had
an awesome house. We sold that one for
them and helped them just this is not
something we can promise everybody. But
get in over off of Dublin for a nice
chunk under a million on a two plus acre
property on a home that needed a little
bit of work. I pro I'll tell you they'll
never sell that house. I will I will
advise them to literally never sell that
house. To get over there relatively
affordably to that market and be able to
have that type of property in that area
is like a once in a-lifetime
opportunity. And we do that stuff for
folks. We had had our eye on that area
for them for over a year and were able
to do that. But that's what happens in
Parker. That's how incredible that area
is that people will wait for a year to
find an ideal home over
